Donny Fandango, What's Happening
Thank you to every Point listener who donated to Donny’s Radiothon! Over $50,000 raised for Ronald McDonald House
TWO Awesome Point events combined forces over the last two days to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis!
The long-awaited Rizzuto Show “Lock In” Punishment finally went down, with Burton, Moon, and Patrico spending 24 hours straight together in a booth at Gingham’s Homestyle Restaurant in St Charles! Plus, the annual Donny Fandango 28-Hour RADIOTHON to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis!
Donny spent 28 hours broadcasting LIVE from The Point studio playing on-demand requests and shout outs for your donation and the incredible folks at Gingham’s Homestyle Restaurant donated 20% of every check to Ronald McDonald House Charites of St. Louis and this year’s Radiothon!
We’ve crunched all the numbers and have the final tally of all donations from the past 2 days.
The official total from all donations is: $52,964
Thank you so much to all of the Point listeners who donated and to Gingham’s Homestyle Restaurant for contributing nearly $10,000 to the Radiothon total. Check out the full list of businesses that donated HERE.

About the Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis:
There are three Ronald McDonald Houses in St. Louis. Our first House was built on West Pine near St. Louis Children’s Hospital, which now has eight extended-stay apartment units next door. We also have a House on Park Avenue near SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. RMHC St. Louis opened the third Ronald McDonald House (and the 300th in the world) on the campus of Mercy Children’s Hospital in September 2010.
We provide comfort and care to 59 families each night, and we are open every day of the year. The Houses provide affordable lodging, as well as home-cooked meals and a community atmosphere where families find support from others going through similar situations. Many of the families travel long distances for life-saving medical treatment for their child, including: heart transplants, lung transplants, cancer care and other specialized treatments for a variety of life-threatening illnesses.
