Lamb of God has released a quarantine performance of “Routes,” a song off the band’s new, self-titled album.
The clip shows the each member of the Virginia metallers rocking out together while apart in their separate homes. Testament frontman Chuck Billy also calls in to deliver his guest vocals, as he does on the studio version.
“It’s always an honor to be asked to perform with Lamb of God, especially on this song,” says Billy. He adds that “Routes,” which is about the Native American-led protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline, has “such a deep meaning for me personally with my Native American heritage.”
“I’m happy [LoG frontman] Randy [Blythe] included me to get the message out about what is going on with Native Americans in the USA,” Billy says.
You can watch the performance streaming now on YouTube.
Lamb of God the album was released last June. A deluxe version, including two bonus tracks and live recordings from LoG’s streaming performance last fall, arrives this Friday, March 26.
