Korn has announced that Ra Diaz of Suicidal Tendencies will fill in on bass for Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu on the band’s upcoming tour.
Fieldy had announced last month that he’s taking some time away from Korn to deal with ongoing “personal issues” that “have caused me to fall back on some of my bad habits and has caused some tension with the people around me.”
“We appreciate your kind words of support in response to the recent tour update about Fieldy,” Korn says in sharing the news about Diaz. “While our brother takes some time to heal, we wanted to let you know that we are bringing our friend Ra Diaz from Suicidal Tendencies out with us this summer to fill in on Korn bass duties.”
“We’ve all been rehearsing to get ready to bring the heat,” the band adds of the upcoming tour, which launches in August. “We can’t wait to see you next month.”
Korn had previously recruited Tye Trujillo, son of Metallica‘s Robert Trujillo, to fill in for Fieldy during a South American tour in 2017.
