Of Mice & Men has announced a new EP called Bloom.
The set will arrive May 28. You can listen to the title track now via digital outlets.
“‘Bloom’ is a song about grieving the death of a family member,” says singer/bassist Aaron Pauley. “It’s about understanding, through that loss, that grief is not only love in its most visceral and wildest form, but that it’s also the ultimate price we pay to experience such love.”
“To know profound grief is to have known profound love,” he adds. “Nothing and no one lasts forever. Love isn’t a bouquet of plastic flowers; it’s watching the petals fall.”
Bloom is the second in a series of EPs Of Mice & Men plans to release this year, following February’s Timeless. According to a press release, the EPs will “comprise the band’s next album,” the follow-up to 2019’s EARTHANDSKY.
