If you’re ever in a situation where Megadeth‘s Dave Mustaine needs to use your bathroom, perhaps think of this tale before you let him.
During Megadeth’s show in Tuscon, Arizona, Sunday night, Mustaine told the cheering crowd that he once “peed on the floor” of the White House bathroom.
As for how that admission would even come up, it started with Mustaine sharing how “proud” he is of the metal community for “the way that you are handling yourselves” amid unspecified events going on in the country.
“There’s a lot of people that go out there and they say things and they totally embarrass themselves,” Mustaine said. “I want you guys to know how proud I am to represent you.”
It was then that Mustaine brought up his own trip to the White House, presumably referring to his visit in the early ’90s during the Bill Clinton administration as part of the Rock the Vote initiative with MTV.
“When I went up to the White House, I was so proud to be able to go up there and say, ‘F*** you, you think we’re stupid? We are not stupid,'” Mustaine said.
He continued, “By the way, when I went into the White House, I went into the…White House bathroom, and I peed on the floor.”
“I had to,” Mustaine declared. “I had to.”
Your first thought upon hearing this charming story is probably, “Ew.” Your second thought, then, might be, “Is Dave Mustaine telling the truth when he says he peed on the floor of the White House bathroom?” To that, we say, unclear! While it seems like Mustaine is being serious, it’s entirely possible that he was just joking.
You can judge for yourself by watch fan-shot footage of Mustaine’s speech on YouTube.
