Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement posted Tuesday afternoon, the Virginia metallers share that, while Blythe’s symptoms are “mild” and he’s currently “on the mend,” he won’t be able to play tonight’s stop on the Metal Tour of the Year in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

However, Lamb of God will still perform, with Mark Hunter of the now-defunct metal band Chimaira handling lead vocals alongside “a few friends helping out.”

“We are hopeful [Blythe] will be able to return later this week and will update as soon as we can, the statement concludes.

The Metal Tour of the Year also features Megadeth, Trivium and In Flames.
