Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu has opened up regarding his ongoing hiatus from the band.

In an Instagram video, Fieldy speaks on the “bad habits” that were cited as the reason for his break from Korn, which was first announced in June 2021.

“To clarify when I made the statement about my ‘bad habits,’ they weren’t drugs,” Fieldy says. “It’s just, at the end of the day, I don’t condone this, but when I’m done with all my responsibilities, I have a Bud Light or whatever. As many as I want, tell you the truth. I’m a grown man.”

He continues, “But I know I gotta get up at five in the morning, ’cause I’m responsible, and I got a job to do, and I got people that love me, and I got people that depend on me. So I’m gonna be there for them no matter what.”

Fieldy adds that he’s “never tried” heroin or cocaine. “I drink Bud Light, man,” he laughs.

As for his current relationship with Korn, Fieldy shares that they’re “all cool.”

“I love the guys in Korn,” he says. “We have no beef, I got no problem with those guys, you guys should support them.”

“I’m always gonna be Fieldy from Korn for the rest of my life,” he adds. “That’s part of my legacy. Those are my homies, those are my brothers, man. We’re just in different places right now.”

Since Fieldy’s hiatus, Korn released a new album called Requiem. Fieldy, meanwhile, has been releasing new music with his band Stillwell.
