Five Finger Death Punch has a big summer planned.

In a Facebook video, guitarist Zoltan Bathory teases that he and his band mates are gearing up to return to the studio to start working on a new album. Not only that, but he also reveals that the Las Vegas metallers are planning to rerecord their 2007 debut album, The Way of the Fist.

“It was a truly self produced DIY album, mostly recorded in my living room,” Bathory says of the original The Way of the Fist. “We thought it would be really interesting to hear it with a proper big production.”

The new album is due out in 2022. Bathory didn’t mention a release plan for the updated The Way of the Fist, but notes that next year is the record’s 15th anniversary.

Five Finger Death Punch’s most recent album is 2020’s F8, which features the singles “Inside Out,” “Living the Dream,” “A Little Bit Off” and “Darkness Settles In.”
