Charlie Benante has shared a video clip montage featuring footage from the first shows of Pantera‘s comeback tour over the past month.

The tour, which began in Mexico on December 2 before heading to South America, debuted the reformed lineup of vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown joined by Black Label Society‘s Zakk Wylde and Anthrax‘s Benante in place of the late Abbott brothers, “Dimebag” Darrell and Vinnie Paul, respectively, and marked the first live Pantera shows since 2001. Brown ended up missing the final few shows on the run due to contracting COVID-19.

The seven-minute montage, posted to Benante’s YouTube, features clips from each show on the tour provided by “techs, friends and family members.”

“I was blown away by the reaction from the audiences,” Benante says. “There were times I wanted to stop playing and just enjoy the sea of passion.”

In 2023, Pantera will headline a number of U.S. festivals, including Florida’s Welcome to Rockville, and open for select dates on Metallica’s U.S. stadium tour. They’ll also launch a tour of Europe.
