Atreyu won't stay down in new video for "Warrior"

Atreyu has released the video for “Warrior,” the Travis Barker-featuring track from the band’s upcoming album, Baptize.

The clip shows vocalist Brandon Saller surrounded by his band mates, who then proceed to beat the crap out of him by smashing bottles over his head and kicking him while he’s down. Importantly, however, he continues to get back up.

“Sometimes life punches you in the face,” Atreyu says. “The fist hurts — and the floor hurts worse. But getting back up feels incredible.”

“‘Warrior’ is a song about the war within,” the band adds. “There is a daily battle inside all of us, as well as the knowledge that we each have the power to not only get back up, but also have the fire we need to thrive and burn brighter than ever.”

Baptize, Atreyu’s first album with Saller as the full-time vocalist in place of departed member Alex Varkatzas, will be released June 4. It also includes collaborations with Papa Roach‘s Jacoby Shaddix and Trivium‘s Matt Heafy.
