You may have heard of the big 90s Con that’s coming to Hartford, Connecticut on the weekend of March 11th through the 13th. They’ve got tons of stars from ’90s TV shows, movies, and music. And now, they have several members of “Full House”. Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, and Andrea Barber will all be there. They are are all superclose and I’d assume this is their first gig since Bob Saget suddenly past (LINK)
Investigators into Bob’s death at first believed he sustained a fatal blow when he hit the back of his head against the bed’s headboard. He then went to sleep with a brain bleed and never woke up. Investigators NOW believe that Saget lost consciousness in the bathroom, fell backward onto the marble floor, and hit his head. It’s believed that he regained consciousness and went to bed, not knowing how serious his injuries were, and died in his sleep. An Orange County Sheriff’s deputy said there are still a lot of unanswered questions.
Actress Sally Kellerman died yesterday. She was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the original movie version of “M*A*S*H”. She was also in the Rodney Dangerfield comedy “Back to School”. The Grand Funk Railroad song “Sally” was about her. She was 85.
So SEAN PENN is in the Ukraine now shooting a documentary about the Russian invasion. The Ukrainian government says, “The more people like that the quicker we can stop this heinous invasion by Russia.” They added, quote, “Our country is grateful to him for such a show of courage and honesty.” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Penn, and posted a video on his Instagram Story. He said, quote, “The more people know about the war in Ukraine, the higher the likelihood of stopping Russia.
Also in the Ukraine and def NOT doing a documentary is comedian Louis CK. His upcoming performances at the National Palace of Arts in Kyiv are still scheduled to take place this weekend — despite Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. A posting said: “Dear attendees, Louis C.K. performance will take place, as planned, on February 25 and 26, 2022. Tickets for Louis C.K. show purchased earlier remain valid for new dates and do not require an exchange.” Balcony seats are discount 30% to just ubder $12. And you have to leave your phone in a safebox during the show (LINK)
ANNALYNNE MCCORD is being trolled for posting a video of herself delivering a spoken word poem to Vladimir Putin. For the easiest question you will have all day…what does it remind you of? Gal Gadot and friends
In the “Batman” comics, the Penguin is almost NEVER seen without his trademark cigarette holder. But in the upcoming movie “The Batman”, COLIN FARRELL’s version of the Penguin doesn’t light up at all. He fought for it hard. He even he’d do a cigar and not even light it. The studio said hard no.
Superhero movies clearly aren’t for everyone. Here are some actors who do NOT want to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe:
- Emily Blunt. . . She actually had to turn down the role of Black Widow, but looking back she doesn’t regret it because she doesn’t like superhero movies.
- 2. Timothee Chalamet. . . He did audition to play Peter Parker, but recently he said one of his heroes gave him career advice . . . quote, “No superhero movies.”
- 3. Amanda Seyfried. . . She doesn’t like stunt work . . . she also turned down the role of Gamora in “Guardians of the Galaxy” because she didn’t want to be painted green for six months out of the year.
- 4. Jennifer Aniston. . . She thinks, quote, “big Marvel movies” are diminishing the value of cinema.
- Matthew McConaughey. . . Marvel turned him down to play Hulk, but asked him to join “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” . . . he said no because he didn’t want to “feel like an amendment.”
- Jason Statham. . . He doesn’t want to be in one because he thinks any guy could do it . . . and thinks they rely too much on green screens and stunt doubles. (This from a guy who does “Fast and Furious” movies. SHUT UUUUUP!!!)
- 7. Jon Hamm. . . He’s turned down opportunities because he doesn’t want to commit to potential future films that he hasn’t read scripts for, including crossovers.
- 8. Reese Witherspoon. . . She just doesn’t find interest in it.
- Rose McGowan. . . She said in 2015 that they lack complexity, story and character development, and they’re lazy and average male filmmaking.
- Sean Penn. . . He thinks they take up too much space and wasted too much time in the careers of talented people (LINK)
- Josh Hartnett. . . Not Marvel, but he said he was offered Superman when he was younger, but turned it down because he didn’t want it to define the rest of his career.
TOM BRADY is doing a buddy road trip movie with Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sally Field, and Rita Moreno. But the TRAGEDY is that he will NOT be traveling cross-country with them in a car. The movie is called “80 for Brady”, and it’s based on the true story of four best friends and New England Patriots fans who take a trip to Super Bowl 51 to see Brady play. Brady is producing the movie, and was reportedly deeply involved in getting it off the ground.
Even if you are a star like Aziz Ansari it’s good to get a big name for your directorial debut. Bill Murray is a good get. Ansari is also writing the script, co-producing, and acting in it! It’s a comedy/drama but the book it is taken from (Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End) is describe thusly: “moving and clear-eyed look at aging and death in our society, and at the harms, we do in turning it into a medical problem, rather than a human one.”
It sounds like Sammy Hagar doesn’t want any Van Halen vault material featuring him to be released. Hagar told The San Diego Union-Tribune earlier this month “I’m leery about doing that. Because the legacy of Van Halen is so great, and, prior to me joining the band, the legacy is pure greatness: Eddie’s guitar work, the band’s playing, the songs.” The Red Rocker added “Anything leftover wasn’t good enough to be on those records. I don’t care what anyone says; putting out[unreleased music wouldn’t do anything, other than make someone a little money.”
New music out today is pretty interesting
“A Tribute to Led Zeppelin“, Beth Hart. As the title suggests, this is a Led Zeppelincover album. It includes “Kashmir”, “Dancing Days”, and “The Rain Song”. She said, quote, “This Zeppelin album allowed me to get all my rage out, and for that, I’m really grateful.”
- “CMFB . . . Sides“, Corey Taylor. He is the lead singer of Slipknot. This release is nine B-side tracks to his 2020 solo debut album “CMFT”. It has covers of Metallica, Eddie Money, and KISS.The first single, a cover of John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band’s “On The Dark Side
• “The Tipping Point“, Tears for Fears. This is their seventh album and first release in almost 18 years. They are going on tour in May with Garbage

Zdeno Chara stands alone atop the NHL’s career list for most regular-season games played by a defenseman after taking the ice for the New York Islanders against the host San Jose Sharks on Thursday evening. Chara entered the night tied for eighth overall and first among defensemen in games played with Hall of Famer Chris Chelios. He moved into seventh after taking the ice for the 1,652nd time. The 44-year-old made his NHL debut with the 1997-98 Isles. He was with New York for four seasons and the Senators for four more before signing a five-year, $37.5 million contract with the Bruins. He is a seven-time All-Star who won the Norris Trophy as a member of the 2008-09 Bruins. He also won the Stanley Cup in 2011.
Former heavyweight champion boxer Vitali Klitschko says that he is prepared to fight for Ukraine after Russia began military operations in the country. Klitschko, who is the mayor of Kyiv, said Ukrainians have garnered weapons and were “soldiers ready to defend their city.” When Klitschko was asked if he would join forces with the Ukrainians to fight the Russians, he said it was an obligation for himself. In what Klitschko described already as a “bloody” war, he believes in the people in his country can fend off the invasion. He said QUOTE: “I believe in Ukraine, I believe in my country and I believe in my people.”
Troy Aikman is reportedly headed to ESPN next season to work as the lead analyst for “Monday Night Football.” This announcement sparked the conversation of who will go with Aikman, if anyone? ESPN is expected to first go after Aikman’s partner of 20 years, Joe Buck. Buck is in his last year of his Fox contract in which he makes $11 million to announce MLB and NFL games. However, it is believed that Fox will make a strong case to keep Buck around for the future, especially because they will be broadcasting two Super Bowls in the next three years. If ESPN cannot get Buck, then it is believed Al Michaels is next in the conversation. Michaels is leaving NBC for next season, and he was set to go to Amazon (and, at one time, with Aikman) for their new “Thursday Night Football” broadcast, but there is still no set deal between the parties. It is possible that Michaels could follow Aikman to ESPN instead.
Eric Bieniemy is reportedly expected to return as Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator in 2022. The Chiefs are anticipating Bieniemy will be back after interviewing for several head coaching vacancies. Bieniemy’s contract expired after the 2021 season, so the two sides will need to reach a new deal for him to officially return. The 2022 season would be Bieniemy’s 10th working under Andy Reid in Kansas City. He began as a running backs coach in 2013 before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2018.
Also – will Aaron Rodgers be a Green Bay Packer next year? If the answer is yes, its gonna cost them. According to some insiders – Rodgers wants to be the highest paid QB in the league…by a LOT. Rumor is he is looking for $50 million PER YEAR. There are also rumors that GB is looking to shop him if they can’t work out a sweetheart deal.
As the MLB Players Association and league owners continue to negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement, Thursday’s meeting offered little progress. The big topics of conversation? Minimum salaries and the competitive balance tax, and it looks like the union agreed to modify its proposals on service time manipulation and the draft lottery. The revised draft proposal would include a seven-team lottery and modifications to the draft order in order to “reduce penalties on small market teams who lose in back-to-back years.” Owners and players also agreed to narrow the number of players rewarded with an extra year of service time to 20; the last proposal would have given an extra year to 29 players.
UConn star Paige Bueckers will return to the Huskies starting lineup when the team faces St. John’s today. The news of Bueckers’s return comes three days after UConn coach said it was unlikely that the star player would return for the team’s final three regular season games. Bueckers has not played in a game for the Huskies since Dec. 5 against Notre Dame. She underwent surgery on Dec. 13 to repair a fracture and lateral meniscus tear.
