Actor John Paragon, known as Jambi the genie in Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, has died. TMZ reports that the actor died back in April, but his death wasn’t publicly announced until late Friday. He was 66. Paragon got his start in Hollywood with L.A.’s legendary Groundlings improv group, acting alongside late actor Phil Hartman, Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson, and Paul Reubens. Reubens and Paragon would later develop a kid-friendly version of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse for television, cutting back the naughty bits from its original stage show. Not only did Paragon say “Mecca lecca hi, mecca hiney ho!” during nearly every episode of the show, which ran from 1986-1991, he was also the voice of the Pterri the pterodactyl. Paragon also made several appearances on Seinfeld as Cedric, one half of the menacing duo in Kramer’s world.

NICK CANNON recently welcomed twins with a woman named Abby De La Rosa. For reasons that may never be adequately explained, they named them Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir. At the time, we also heard that Nick was expecting ANOTHER child with ANOTHER woman. Well, that woman is Alyssa Scott, and rumor has it, she and Nick are an actual couple. Yesterday, she posted (link) a picture of Nick cradling her baby bump, and wrote, “Celebrating you today.” But check this out: This past December, a woman named Brittany Bell gave birth to Nick’s daughter, Powerful Queen . . . meaning that Nick is now expecting his fourth kid, with three different women, in LESS THAN A YEAR. Add Moroccan and Monroe, his twins with MARIAH CAREY, and Nick will soon have seven kids with four different women.

Game 1 – the Cardinals got a big win as Adam Wainwright struck out 11 and the Cards won 9-1. Game 2 – not so lucky. The Braves got the 1-0 win. Holding onto a one-run lead by a thread in the top of the ninth inning on Sunday afternoon, the Yankees needed a miracle.Bottom of Form Aroldis Chapman had walked the first two batters. It looked like it was gonna be a rough go. And then…it wasn’t. The 5-4-3 triple play wasn’t just a game-winner—clinching the 2-1 victory over Oakland to win the series—it was also New York’s third triple play of the season, the most in a single season in franchise history.
Last night we saw the Golden Knights take on the Canadiens and yet again we saw ANOTHER game go into overtime. And – with the Golden Knights getting the OT goal – the series is now tied up at a game a piece. That series will continue tomorrow night at 8pm. In the other series – the Islanders picked up a 3-2 win against the Lightning on Saturday and that series is also tied at 2. Game 5 is tonight in Tampa at 7PM.
Over the weekend we saw two game 7s and the start of the Western Conference Final. In the east, on Saturday, despite Kevin Durant pretty much going OFF and having the best playoff series that we’ve seen in a really long time, the Nets didn’t have enough to knock out the Bucks. Milwaukee picked up the 115-111 win on Saturday night in OT. They will now take on the Atlanta Hawks who beat the 76ers in their game seven 103-96. That series starts on Wednesday. In the West – the Clippers and Suns started their series and the Suns got the big 120-114 win. Game 2 is tomorrow night.
Just a few weeks past him testing positive for Covid and then not being allowed to continue his dominating round at the Memorial Tournament….John Rahm rebounded nicely and birdied both 17 and 18 to get the win at the US Open yesterday. He finished with the 6-under par for the win.
The Tokyo Olympics will allow some local fans to attend when the games open in just over a month. Organizers set a limit of 50% of capacity up to a maximum of 10,000 fans for all Olympic venues. The decision contradicts the country’s top medical adviser, who recommended last week that the safest way to hold the Olympics would be without fans. He had previously called it “abnormal” to hold the Olympics during the pandemic. The Tokyo Games are set to open on July 23.
Allyson Felix is one of three Americans to qualify for the women’s 400m in the Tokyo Olympics. She placed second in the qualifier on Sunday with a time of 50.02 seconds and is now heading to her fifth Olympic Games, and her first as a mother. Felix, 35, has won six gold and three silver medals over her Olympic career that began at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. If she were to medal in both events this summer, she’d surpass the mark set by Carl Lewis, who has 10, as the most decorated American in track and field history. Felix already has more Olympic medals than any other woman in U.S. track and field history.
