Lizzo’s attorney is keeping busy.  Asha Daniels, Lizzo’s former wardrobe stylist, has filed a suit against the singer.  Daniels claims Lizzo fostered a “sexualized, racially charged, and illegal work environment.” The suit accuses Lizzo of being fatphobic and degrading to Black women. Daniels also said Lizzo forced her to experience sexual harassment. Lizzo’s spokesman, Stefan Friedman, told Entertainment Tonight, “As Lizzo receives a Humanitarian Award tonight from the Black Music Action Coalition for the incredible charitable work she has done to lift up all people, an ambulance-chasing lawyer tries to sully this honor by recruiting someone to file a bogus, absurd publicity-stunt lawsuit who, wait for it, never actually met or even spoke with Lizzo. We will pay this as much attention as it deserves. None.” Last month, three of Lizzo’s former dancers filed a similar workplace harassment suit against the entertainer. So are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as Jeff would say “riding the hobby horse”?  That still hasn’t been confirmed.  But Travis addressed the rumors yesterday on “The Pat McAfee Show”. He didn’t say whether he and Taylor have actually met, but he did say he told her this . . . quote, “I’ve seen you rock the stage at Arrowhead.  You might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.” In other words, he said, he “threw the ball in her court.”  And he added, quote, “We’ll see what happens in the near future.” (People)

Get ready to change where you watch WWE. WWE Smackdown is leaving Fox and returning to USA Network. The Friday night show has been on Fox since 2019 after moving from USA. The new agreement with NBCUniversal will also bring four primetime specials to NBC. With the move, WWE Raw and NXT are moving from USA to a new provider. Reports say numerous networks are interested in both brands.  Things between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have gotten REAL UGLY, REAL FAST. Sophie is now SUING Joe, claiming that he’s unlawfully keeping their kids in New York City . . . even though they supposedly agreed she could take them to the U.K.  The word “abducted” even came up. She says they decided AS A FAMILY back in April of this year to raise the kids there because it’s safer.  But they’ve been with Joe in the U.S. for several months, because she was busy working. Sophie claims they made a plan when they were still together that she would finish up with her commitments this month and take the kids to England.  But now, Joe’s refusing to hand over their passports so she can do that. She’s suing Joe in FEDERAL court, because this is an international matter. Sophie also says that she was blindsided by the divorce.  She claims they had an argument on August 15th, and Joe filed on September 1st.  She found out on the 5th . . . through the MEDIA. Joe is denying all of this, obviously.  He says Sophie was aware that he was going to file. He also claims that the Florida court where he filed has an order in place that restricts either of them from taking the kids anywhere else, and if he gave Sophie their passports, he’d be violating it. However, he says he’s open to sharing custody with Sophie, even if she moves permanently to England. Joe also says that HE was the one blindsided, by Sophie’s lawsuit.  He thought they were on the same page until she filed it. His lawyer says, quote, “This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending.  When language like ‘abduction’ is used, it is misleading at best, and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst.” (TMZ)

Dancing With The Stars is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday night. The first episode is now in jeopardy. Sources said the competition show could be postponed because of the ongoing Hollywood writers’ strike. A DWTS participant, actor Matt Walsh, said, “I was excited to join the show and did so under the impression that it was not a WGA show and fell under a different agreement. This morning when I was informed by my union, the WGA, that it is considered struck work I walked out of my rehearsal.” Variety reports that DWTS is covered by the Writers’ Guild of America because the show employs one writer. However, the show was going to carry on without written elements. An Entertainment Tonight source said, “there are over 500 people employed for the show and the talent are allowed to work on this show under the Screen Actors Guild Network Code agreement, but due to rising pressure that the talent is receiving, we are preparing to postpone.”Blink-182 has dropped two new songs from their upcoming album, ‘One More Time’, out October 20th. The title track addresses some serious moments within the band, like drummer Travis Barker’s 2008 plane crash and bassist Mark Hoppus’ recent battle with cancer. They have also dropped a second track called “More Than You Know’.’One More Time’ is blink-182’s first album with Tom DeLonge in more than a decade.

Gordon Ramsay is developing a new show for Fox called “Idiot Sandwich”.  (???)  It’s a sandwich-making competition, obviously. The title of the show is based on a popular meme from a sketch on “The Late Late Show”.  It was a parody of “Kitchen Nightmares”, with James Corden facing off against Julie Chen . . . and Chef Ramsay screaming at them the whole time.At one point, he takes two pieces of bread, puts one on each of Julie’s ears, and makes her call herself an idiot sandwich.  This was back in 2015, but it’s still got legs. Ramsay says, quote, “Wherever I go, there’s some young kid somewhere that wants to be called an ‘idiot sandwich.'” (Entertainment Weekly)

Tom Hanks is down to get dirty, if it means going into space.  He’s willing to do all the onboard chores like cleaning toilets, serving food, folding clothes, and stowing the gear. He says, quote, “If there was room, I would be the guy that cleans up, makes jokes, tells stories and keeps everybody entertained.  I’m your man.  I would probably sign up right now! . . . “That might be a good idea, I’ll do all the work, that way the others could be free to do other stuff.” (People)

When Justin Timberlake pronounced “me” as “MAY” in the ‘N Sync classic “It’s Gonna Be Me”, it wasn’t just a happy accident.  He was following ORDERS. The band appears on the latest episode of the YouTube show “Hot Ones”, where they broke it down. It turns out the guys who wrote the song were Swedish, and when they heard Justin sing “me”, they told him, quote, “No, no, no, no.  It’s may.  May!”  So he did what he was told, and the rest his history. Justin said, quote, “I did it the way that was requested, and that’s what made the record.  I knew one day they were going to invent this thing called memes.” (Here’s a related TikTok Justin posted just a few days ago.)  (People)

Sports Report 1

The Cardinals lost 6-0 to the Brewers and then put Willson Contreras on the IL with left wrist tendinitis. Contreras came out of Wednesday night’s game after the sixth inning due to wrist pain.

Even without receiver Brandon Aiyuk, the 49ers are stacked with talent from George Kittle . Deebo Samuel  Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy to some of their backups that could start for other teams. It’s almost unfair, especially with how good San Francisco’s defense is. The six runs the Brewers scored all came at the expense of Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas.

Mikolas, who started on opening day for the Cardinals, is the most senior member of the pitching staff scheduled to return next season. He and Contreras will be two of the players counted on to help guide a turnaround next season.

With their third consecutive loss to the Brewers on Thursday, the Cardinals (67-86) fell to 19 games below .500. Willson Contreras headed to the IL as Cardinals begin looking ahead toward 2024 (stltoday.com)

The 49ers were in a competitive game in the second half, but they were simply too talented for the New York Giants. The 49ers moved to 3-0 with a 30-12 win.

Deion Sanders has insisted he has no interest in coaching at the NFL level, but that almost certainly will not stop teams from trying to change his mind.

Jeff Howe of The Athletic spoke with 10 high-rankling NFL executives to gauge how much interest there is in Sanders at the pro level. Of those 10, seven predicted that Sanders will receive interview requests during the next head-coach hiring cycle. The other three said it was too early to make that prediction, though they did not rule it out.

One executive told Howe that he would “definitely want to bring (Sanders) in to hear what he has to say.”

“He knows how to motivate his players,” the decision-maker said. “He’s crushed the transfer portal, and maybe that would carry over into team building through free agency.”

Another executive complimented Sanders for putting people in position to maximize their skills without micromanaging. Several of the execs said Sanders has CEO-like qualities and has shown he can oversee things, which is an important trait to have when coaching in the NFL. The fact that Sanders is a Hall of Famer who played at a high level in the NFL is viewed as a factor that might separate him from other coaches who have failed when jumping from college to the NFL.

One general manager said Sanders might be better off remaining in college, where he can “dominate” for years.

As far as Sanders is concerned, none of those opinions matter. The Colorado coach gave a simple five-word response recently when asked about coaching in the NFL. I WOULD NEVER DO THAT

Sanders has Colorado off to a 3-0 start after the Buffaloes had just one win a season ago. He has rebuilt the roster in an incredibly brief amount of time, which will likely appeal to NFL teams that need to make a splash.
