Michael Keaton might have been Batman . . . but that doesn’t mean he’s actually seen a superhero movie all the way through. In a “Variety” interview, he said, quote, “I’ve never seen an entire version of any of those movies, any Marvel movie [or] any other . . I don’t say that I don’t watch that because I’m highbrow, trust me! It’s just that there’s very little things I watch. I start watching something, and think it is great and I watch three episodes, but I have other [stuff] to do!” Michael decided to put on the Batman suit again for the upcoming “Flash” movie because he said it seemed like fun. He was also curious about it since the Marvel and DC universes have grown quite a bit since his “Batman” in 1989.
After Will Smith’s video apology to Chris Rock and others, the backlash over the Oscar slap has new branches. In the apology, Will said he tried to reach out to Chris, but Rock wasn’t ready to talk. A source tells Entertainment Tonight that Rock is not eager to have any conversation with Smith. The insider said, “Chris has no plans to reach out to Will.” The source also thinks the apology is strictly for Will’s image: “He needs the public’s forgiveness, not Chris.”
Mark Hamill used to work at a Jack in the Box as a teenager . . . but he was FIRED for doing clown impersonations while taking drive-thru orders. Well, now he’s back for a re-do . . . over 50 years later. Mark got to work the drive-thru window and take orders, as part of a new campaign. And he even tried out different clown voices again, but this time with approval, of course. He also offered some advice. Quote, “When there’s a setback in your life you have to double down and go right back at it. It wasn’t like I was disillusioned [from being fired] like, ‘Oh no, I’ll never work again’ . . .I just thought, ‘Okay, that happened. Now how can I go to the next job and make sure that doesn’t happen again?’ It’s all part of [a] life experience that prepares you for whatever you’re aiming for.” Mark is in Jack in the Box’s commercial announcing the return of French toast sticks (and himself).

The Cars franchise added the 2013 spinoff, Planes, to its arsenal and has grossed over $1.7 billion. Owen Wilson will reprise his role as McQueen along with Larry the Cable Guy returning to voice Mater in the upcoming Disney+ spinoff series. Cars on the Road features nine episodes.

The new footage also sees the return of Forest Whitaker. While the show was originally slated to hit Disney+ on August 31, its three-episode premiere has been pushed to September 21.”

A singer named Laura Currie did a parody of the song “Hallelujah”, but with Liam Neeson’s monologue in the movie, “Taken”.
At the moment, there’s a lot of uncertainty when it comes to what’s going on with Blink-182 (LINK). A couple weeks ago, Matt Skiba, who joined the group after Tom DeLonge’s departure in 2015, said he’s not sure if he’s even in the band right now, responding to a fan comment, “your guess is as good as mine. Regardless, I am very proud of and thankful for my time w @blink182. We shall see…” Now, DeLonge has caused even more confusion with his latest social media activity, which may indicate that he’s back in the band. Over the weekend, fans noticed that DeLonge updated his Instagram bio to mention the band, reading, “I make music (@blink182 and @angelsandairwaves) and films.” Notably, that update doesn’t mention Box Car Racer, DeLonge’s short-lived band with Travis Barker from the early 2000s, seemingly indicating the Instagram bio only mentions active projects of which DeLonge is a part. DeLonge also shared a vintage photo of the Blink-182 trio over the weekend.
Dave Grohl usually maintains a regular presence in the media, but he’s been understandably quiet following the March death of close friend and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. In June, though, he returned to the stage for the first time since Hawkins’ death with a surprise appearance during Paul McCartney’s Glastonbury set. Now, we know a bit more about what the rest of Grohl’s 2022 will look like: Grohl is on the newly revealed lineup of Joe Walsh’s 2022 VetsAid charity concert on November 13 in Columbus, Ohio. It appears Grohl will be a special guest during a reunion set from James Gang, Walsh’s pre-Eagles band. The performance is scheduled for after the upcoming Hawkins tribute concerts (LINK), on September 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium and September 27 at Los Angeles’. Meanwhile, also on the VetsAid lineup are Nine Inch Nails, The Black Keys, and The Breeders.
While many folks probably really have some love for their hits when it comes to their BIGGEST tunes, one can imagine that Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis (LINK) are probably sick of hearing “Wonderwall” at this point. So imagine what happened when an entire restaurant in Ibiza broke out into a rendition of “Wonderwall” for Noel and his family this past weekend. In the clip, the customers at a beachside restaurant on the Spanish island were not only singing along to “Wonderwall” as it played on the speakers, but they were also clapping along rather awkwardly with their heads turned towards an unsuspecting Noel Gallagher with his wife and son. Surely this must’ve made Noel’s blood boil a bit as he was just trying to have a peaceful meal and a beer with his family. Although he was a good sport about it and clapped as the singing stopped.
Brad Paisley has a song called “I’m Gonna Miss Her” (The Fishin Song)….and…a while back a major artist covered that song. Yup…that’s Posty. And it was all at Matthew McConaughey’s “We’re Texas” virtual fundraiser last year. Well, Post shared the video yesterday, and Brad was so impressed he commented, “This is better than me.”
Beyoncé has agreed to swap out a lyric on her new album “Renaissance” after some fans were offended. On the song “Heated”, she uses the word “spaz” . . . twice . . . and that drew backlash from the disabled community, which considers the word an ableist slur. Beyoncé was using “spaz” as a loose slang for “freaking out” or “going crazy” . . . but it’s derived from the word “spastic,” which is demeaning and insensitive to people with spastic cerebral palsy. It’s unclear how or when Beyoncé will replace the lyric. (Careful) The existing line was: “Spazzin’ on that a**, spazz on that a**.” Lizzo came under fire for using the same term a couple months ago. And like Beyoncé, she agreed to change it. Beyoncé apparently missed that in her News Feed.
Naomi Judd left both of her daughters OUT of her will, which is believed to be worth $25 million. Page Six confirmed it yesterday. Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd have yet to make an official comment. But Radar Online “has been told” that Wynonna is upset because together they were The Judds, and she “was a major force behind her mother’s success.” Naomi’s husband of 33 years, Larry Strickland, is the executor. He was given “full authority and discretion over her assets without the approval of any court.” And if Larry “ceases or fails to serve” then his brother Reginald Strickland will be named co-executor along with a guy named Daniel. The will was prepared in 2017 and according to the documents, Naomi was of “sound mind and disposing memory” when she signed and approved it. Naomi took her own life earlier this year, on April 30th. She was 75.
Everyone has a celebrity that they CAN’T STAND, and there’s usually a good reason for it. But have you ever found yourself disliking a famous person . . . but you can’t put your finger on WHY? There’s a thread online where people are talking about celebrities they “hate . . . for no good reason.” Although it’s funny, some people couldn’t help but explain themselves, which goes against the premise. Here are some highlights . . .
- Justin Bieber
- Harry Styles . . . “I just don’t like the whole ‘be positive’ thing he does.”
- Most of the “Friends”cast
- Ed Sheeran
- LeBron James
- Adam Sandler. . . “He just seems to play the same character over and over again. All jokes, no personality.”
- Richard Dreyfuss
- Lizzo
- Gwyneth Paltrow . . . (I don’t know that there’s “no good reason.”)
- Will Smith. . . (There’s definitely a good reason to no longer be a fan.)
- The Kardashians . . . (SO MANY good reasons.)
- Will Ferrell
- Jared Leto
- Jerry Seinfeld. . . “He just seems really cocky.”
- Bruno Mars
16. “I hate M. Night Shyamalan, and want him to die painfully.”

The Cardinals finalized a deal late Monday night with Pittsburgh to trade for lefty Jose Quintana and reliever Chris Stratton. The Cardinals sent right-hander reliever Johan Oviedo and minor-league infielder Malcom Nunez to the Pirates, the club confirmed when announcing the deal. It’s the Cardinals first in-division deal since 2015, their first swap of players with the Pirates since 2000. Quintana is 33 years old and seems to basically be a replacement for Steven Matz who torn a knee ligament and won’t pitch again this season. Stratton, 31, is a former first-round draft pick who has spent the previous three full seasons with the Pirates.Trade deadline is tonight at 5. Cardinals play the Cubs here at Busch stadium tonight at 645.
Aaron Judge is on a homer roll. He hit his 12th home run of his last 14 games last night, as the Yankees beat the Mariners. So how many will he hit this season? They mentioned a chase for 60 when he hit his 43rd last night
NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson now knows when he will return to the field . . . PROBABLY.
Yesterday, an independent disciplinary officer issued her final report, and she ruled that Deshaun will serve a SIX game suspension to start the 2022 season.
That’s LESS than the full season ban that the league was originally seeking . . . but it’s MORE than what Deshaun’s people think (LINK) he deserves. He has continually denied all wrongdoing.
In March of last year, a former masseuse claimed Deshaun “went too far,” and sexually assaulted her during a session (LINK)
Dozens of similar claims followed . . . with many of the women saying that he acted inappropriately while getting massages . . . (Careful) often requesting or pressuring them into sexual contact.
At the time, Deshaun was the quarterback of the Houston Texans. They held him out of the entire 2021 season while the claims were investigated.
Earlier this year, the Texans traded him to the Cleveland Browns, and they gave (LINK) Deshaun a new $230 million contract. Due to the way it’s structured, he will only lose $333,000 for missing these six games. That’s 0.14% of $230 million.
Deshaun also recently settled 23 of the 24 lawsuits against him.
Technically, there is still an opportunity for the Deshaun, the NFL Players Association, and the NFL to appeal. However, both Deshaun and the Players Association have signaled that they’ll accept it, so they can move on.
They’re also asking the league to accept it, but it’s unclear if they’re onboard.
Obviously, the Browns are THRILLED (LINK) to have Deshaun make his return sooner rather than later. And the Browns’ Super Bowl odds have also improved, although they’re still long shots. (ESPN)
Sportico released their annual (LINK) ranking of the most valuable NFL teams. The Cowboys are #1 . . . again . . . but the biggest change this year is the Rams overtook the Patriots for the #2 spot.
Here are the Top 10:
- Dallas Cowboys, $7.6 billion
- Los Angeles Rams(up one spot from last year), $5.9 billion
- New England Patriots(down one spot), $5.88 billion
- New York Giants, $5.7 billion
- San Francisco 49ers, $5.2 billion
- Chicago Bears(up two spots), $5 billion
- New York Jets, $4.8 billion
- Washington Commanders(down 2 spots), $4.78 billion
- Philadelphia Eagles, $4.7 billion
- Denver Broncos(up 1 spot), $4.65 billion
(If you’re wondering the Cincinnati Bengals are dead last, at “just” $2.8 billion.)
