Controversial talk-show host Jerry Springer has died at age 79. The onetime mayor of Cincinnati became famous for his rollicking, controversial talk show where guests would frequently get into arguments and even physical altercations. The show ran between 1991 and 2018. Memorial arrangements are pending. TMZ reports that the cause of death was pancreatic cancer, which had been diagnosed a few months ago. Avenged Sevenfold has announced additional opening acts for their upcoming shows. Codependents, featuring Fat Mike of NOFX and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, will open their May 9th L.A. album release show, and Living Colour will do the same for their May 23rd New York show. Kim Dracula has been added as the first opener – before either Alexisonfire or Falling in Reverse – for both legs of the full tour that kicks off in July.

Bam Margera has turned himself into Pennsylvania Police over an alleged physical confrontation with his brother, TMZ reports. According to court documents, police responded to a domestic disturbance call and Bam’s brother Jess told police that the Jackass star banged and kicked his bedroom door and left a threatening not warning not to call the police. Bam then allegedly punched his brother and threatened to kill him and others in the house. Bam was released on bond after bail was set at $50,000, and he faces charges of assault, harassment and terroristic threats. A preliminary hearing for Mr Margera has been set for 25 May in Pennsylvania court.

The first meeting between St. Louis City SC and the Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer was supposed to be May 13, but the draw for the U.S. Open Cup on Thursday changed that. A female powerlifting champion from Belgium has died a less than a day after falling sick with a severe infection.
A friend to Laura Delava wrote on Instagram that the Belgian subjunior powerlifting champion from Huy in Liège had succumbed to a sudden illness on Monday 24 April.
It has been reported she died ‘within 24 hours’ of the onset of the illness.
The teenager started powerlifting last summer and went on to become national champion in her category with four national records only last September, aged 17.
