Thanks to the blockbuster success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, it seems we’ll be seeing more movies from Nintendo. Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto has unsurprisingly hinted that more Nintendo movies might be on the way. Speaking to Japanese outlet Nikkei (via a NintendoEverythingtranslation), Miyamoto said that Nintendo “is like a talent agency” and that the company has “plenty” of other entertainers. Gamers know that Nintendo has a bunch of very well-known characters and stories, including The Legend of Zelda, Metroid — as well as spin-offs like Luigi, Bowser and Peach.
Comedian Richard Lewis – you know him from Curb Your Enthusiasm where he played himself, shared a video on Twitter yesterday explaining his three and a half year diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease. The 75 year old shed some optimism in closing saying, “I’m finished with stand-up, I’m just focused on writing and acting. I have Parkinson’s disease but I’m under a doctor’s care, and everything is cool and I love my wife, I love my little puppy dog and I love all of my friends and my fans.”

The Giants then broke a scoreless tie with a sacrifice fly and then, with two outs, cleanup hitter J. D. Davis crushed a three-run homer. That sent San Francisco toward a 4-0 victory over the Cardinals. They’ll try again against the giants tonight at 845pm
City SC striker and leading scorer Joao Klauss will be out 10-14 days because of a right quad strain. “We’ll assess this every single day but we’ll shut him down for at least 10 days and start a buildup with him,” said City SC coach Bradley Carnell. Klauss suffered the injury in a non-contact situation in the 58th minute of a match on Saturday against Colorado and sat down on the field awaiting treatment. After getting medical attention, he was subbed out of the game. Klauss leads the team in goals, with five, and is third in the league in goal contributions (goals and assists), with eight. Klauss will certainly miss one Major League Soccer game and most likely two, as well as the Open Cup game on Tuesday. City SC striker Klauss will be out 10-14 days with quad strain; Open Cup play starts Tuesday
Aaron Rodgers is finally getting his wish … the NFL superstar is being traded to the New York Jets!! The Packers will send the quarterback to NY in exchange for a bunch of draft picks … according to sources, the deal will include two second-rounders, one of which could turn into a 1st-rounder in 2024 if Rodgers plays 65 percent of the Jets’ snaps this season. Schefter reported Rodgers will switch from No. 12 to No. 8 when he officially arrives in New York. The trade signals the end of a historic career in Green Bay for Rodgers, who after being picked in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, piled up an insane resume. He won four MVPs in 18 seasons, got a Super Bowl win, made 10 Pro Bowl teams, and earned All-Pro honors four times. He consistently butted heads with execs in the front office over personnel decisions and more — especially at the end of his career …which definitely lead to his eventual departure. The Oakland A’s are moving to Las Vegas . . . and nobody is more flabbergasted by the news than Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao. Thao had no indication that the team was closing in on a land deal in Vegas until she got a call at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. She says, quote, “There’s many things that could have been done differently including bargaining in good faith from the A’s side . . . “Working on negotiations in one city where your home base [is] and then doing what you are doing in Las Vegas and then calling me at 6:00 p.m. saying we have a land deal without letting me know there was parallel track, that’s a bit disingenuous.” (CBS News)
Odell Beckham Jr. has been named as a suspect in an assault investigation after a woman went to police claiming the NFL superstar put his hand around her neck in an L.A. hotspot, but the Ravens WR claims the allegations are bogus. Law enforcement tells TMZ Sports the alleged incident went down at Delilah several weeks back … when a woman says 30-year-old OBJ went up to her and grabbed her throat with light pressure. However, a rep for Odell told us they weren’t aware of any investigation and hadn’t been contacted by police. They also vehemently denied Beckham Jr. did anything wrong. Sources say after the alleged altercation, both the woman and Odell remained at the venue throughout the night without further incident. A few days later, police met with the accuser and she filed a report. The allegations come just days after OBJ was announced as the newest star wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens … inking a one-year deal worth up to $18 million. Odell — a first-round pick in 2014 — is slated to make his big return to the field this season — he missed all of 2022 after tearing his ACL in the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals. www.Tmz.com
