When Joss Whedon took over directing duties on “Justice League”, he upset a lot of people. Especially RAY FISHER, who played Cyborg. Fisher has been very vocal about Whedon’s alleged abuses on the set. And a recent article about his allegations includes this new revelation: Whedon was also a jerk to GAL GADOT, after she objected to some of his script changes. A so-called “source” says, quote, “Joss was bragging that he’s had it out with Gal. He told her he’s the writer and she’s going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie.” Supposedly, Gal and “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins took their beef all the way to the head of Warner Brothers. Reached for comment, Gal would only say, quote, “I had my issues with [Whedon] and Warner Brothers . . . handled it in a timely manner.”
There’s a Hollywood rumor that actors Russell Crowe and Chris Hemsworth are co-producing a sequel to the 2000 box office smash, Gladiator. The first film earned over $400 million worldwide and earned 11 Oscar nominations. Hemsworth and Crowe are together in the upcoming Marvel sequel Thor: Love and Thunder.
Sylvester Stallone will not appear in the upcoming Creed III.
Stallone in 2015’s Creed got him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor. That film was followed by Creed II, in 2018. Both Creed films were box office and critical successes. Creed III, directed by star Jordan in his directorial debut, is scheduled to be released on Nov. 23, 2022. Stallone said his recut of Rocky IV is complete. It was never done to his satisfaction, so he was grateful to go back in order to deliver his vision. The 1985 picture was a massive success and introduced audiences to Dolph Lundgren, who played the towering Ivan Drago, the Soviets’ prize boxer. The film marked Carl Weathers’ final physical appearance in the series

An animated Peeps movie is in development . . . and it’s described as a cross between “Trolls” and “Smurfs”. It’ll be about “a ragtag group of Peeps characters who set out on a cross-country journey in order to attend ‘Peepsfest,’ an annual brand celebration in Pennsylvania.” Back in 2014, someone was working on “Peeps: The Movie“, but for whatever reason, it never came to be. That one was different. It was about a Peep being misplaced from a diorama contest . . . and having to make its way through the various fantasy lands to get back. There’s no timetable for the new movie yet.
Remember that campaign to make LEVAR BURTON from “Reading Rainbow” the next permanent host of “Jeopardy!”? Well, it’s picking up steam. Back in November, some fans started an online petition to shine the light on him. It had 50,000 signatures back then, and LeVar made it clear that he’d be down to do it. Well, it’s going viral again . . . and now it’s surpassed 150,000 signatures. LeVar shared another link to the petition on social media, and said, quote, “[I’m] leaving this here in the event the powers that be are listening . . . How would he do as a host? Here’s a clip of LeVar hosting a Star Trek trivia game between Sir Patrick Stewart and Pete Buttigieg on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.)

Two of the 22 women who have filed lawsuits against Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson alleging sexual assault and inappropriate behavior came forward publicly during a news conference Tuesday. Ashley Solis and Lauren Baxley both made statements yesterday. Solis said: “I got into massage therapy to heal people, to heal their minds and bodies. To bring peace to their souls. Deshaun Watson has robbed me of that. People say that I’m doing this just for money. That is false. I come forward now so that Deshaun Watson does not assault another woman.” The Texans also put out a statement that read: “While we await the conclusion of these investigations, we express our strong stance against any form of sexual assault. Our family and the entire Houston Texans organization are deeply troubled by any form of abuse and we condemn this type of behavior.”
The NCAA used the single-site concept for its marquis championship out of necessity. Now it could become part of the tournament’s future. A day after crowning a national champion for the first time since 2019, NCAA reps told reporters that the successful men’s college basketball tournament held primarily in Indianapolis and exclusively in Indiana could create a late-round model for future tourneys. The said that they wouldn’t think all 68-teams would be a good fit for a single city tourney….“However, once you get down to a fewer amount of teams, say the Sweet 16 and on, having teams in the same location may provide some opportunities the membership, coaches and all would want to consider for the future.”
The State Department said Tuesday the Biden administration is consulting with allies about a joint approach to China and its human rights record, including how to handle the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics. The department initially suggested an Olympic boycott to protest China’s rights abuses was among the possibilities, but a senior official said later that a boycott has not yet been discussed. The official said the U.S. position on the 2022 Games had not changed but that the administration is in frequent contact with allies and partners about their common concerns about China.
Tiger Woods won’t be on the course at Augusta National when the 2021 Masters begins on Thursday, but he will still be honored before the tournament takes place. Woods’s seat will be left open at the annual Masters champions dinner on Tuesday night. Woods hosted the champions dinner before the 2020 Masters after winning his most recent green jacket in 2019. Woods will not attend the 2021 Masters after he was hospitalized in February following a single-vehicle accident in Los Angeles. Woods suffered significant orthopedic injuries which required emergency surgery, and he also suffered “trauma to the muscle and soft tissue of the leg.” The 15-time major champion left the hospital on March 16 before returning to his home in South Florida.
Los Angeles Angels reliever Ty Buttrey has retired from baseball, saying he’s lost his affection for the game. “I just wanted to prove everyone wrong. As time went on baseball became more of a business and less of a game. I couldn’t help but notice my love and passion for this game started to diminish. I always thought baseball was a cool job.” The right-hander was one of the key pieces of the Angels’ bullpen the past three seasons, but he struggled with control problems during spring training and was optioned to the team’s alternate training site. His 115 appearances were fourth on the team among pitchers, and he was 8-11 with a 4.30 ERA.
