No Time To Die, was number one at the North American box office this weekend, earning around $56 million. No Time To Die, however, is the lowest Bond opening since 2006’s Casino Royale, which earned $40 million in North America on opening weekend. Globally, the latest Bond film has earned $313 million since it began opening in theaters two weeks ago. It cost about $300 million BEFORE a mega-marketing. And as I said Friday…runs a hefty two hours and 43 minutes (LINK)
Kelly was recently found guilty of kidnapping, racketeering, and sexual exploitation of a child during his trial in a Brooklyn court. The ruling came after seven weeks of shocking and graphic testimonies from witnesses. His honorary “key to the city” in Baton Rouge was revoked The conviction resulted in the removal of Kelly’s YouTube channel. So clearly his streaming numbers experienced a “double-digit growth” and a “triple-digit growth” in sales. His album sales jumped 517% while his streaming numbers went from 11.2 million to 13.4 million during this period. This uptick will certainly take a hit now that his YouTube account has been removed (LINK)
MOLLIE FITZGERALD had a minor role in the first “Captain America” movie, as a “Stark girl.” But she’s probably more famous for STABBING HER MOTHER TO DEATH. It happened in December of 2019 at a home in Kansas. Mollie claims it was self-defense, but her mom was stabbed four times IN THE BACK. Well, a judge recently ruled that Mollie is NOT COMPETENT to stand trial, so she’ll be sent to a mental hospital for treatment. Her case will be reviewed every 90 days to see if her status changes (LINK)

Dave Chappelle has commented on the latest controversy from his Netflix special, The Closer. Chappelle loves the attention. On Thursday, he told an audience at the Hollywood Bowl, “If this is what being canceled is like, I love it. F— Twitter. F— NBC News, ABC News, all these stupid ass networks. I’m not talking to them. I’m talking to you. This is real life.”Chappelle has been criticized for some of his comments toward the gay and trans community in the special.
We have talked about Judge Judy’s new show Judy Justice. We mentioned it is a bit different from a cast perspective. Maybe family is involved. But good ole trusty bailiff Petri Hawkins Byrd, her bailiff and costar for 25 years will not appear on the new show. Byrd said no one asked him to even audition. At the end of the Judge Judy run, Byrd was focused on helping his wife who was going through brain surgery and chemotherapy. Byrd finally reached out to Judy. He said, “It wasn’t until July that I called the judge and asked, ‘Hey, should I look for something else or am I included in the Judy Justice project?'” She told him that the show had hired someone else for less money. In a statement, Judge Judy said, “Byrd is terrific, and we had a great 25-year run. This is a whole new program with a whole new cast and an exciting energy.”

Looks like the whole “That ’70s Show” spin-off thing is going to be tried ONE more time. If you remember in 2002, there was “That ’80s Show” that only lasted one season.Netflix is making “That ’90s Show” with KURTWOOD SMITH and DEBRA JO RUPP returning as Red and Kitty Forman. And the original creators are coming back too. The show will take place in Wisconsin in 1995, with Red and Kitty as grandparents. Their granddaughter Leia . . . who is the daughter of Eric and Donna . . . will be visiting them for the summer while making new friends. Leia will be, quote, “under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red” because “sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll never dies . . . it just changes clothes.” Netflix has ordered 10 episodes. No word if other actors will return or make guest appearances, but we can hope (LINK)

There are 4 MLB post season games today and a chance to see at least 2 teams get eliminated. Up first is the Brewers Raves with that series tied at a game a piece. Then its Game 4 of the Astros/White Sox series with Houston up 2-1. The Rays and Red Sox play game 4 with Boston up 2-1 and the night game as the Giants and Dodgers playing at 8:30 for game 3 with their series tied up at 1.
But real quick…last night…Everyone pretty much felt sure that Yandy Diaz was going to score and give the Rays a 5-4 lead in the 13th inning of Sunday night’s ALDS Game 3 against the Boston Red Sox. The Rays outfielder hit one off the Fenway Park right-field fence, the ball bouncing on the ground before deflecting off Red Sox right fielder Hunter Renfroe’s right hip and skipping over the fence. Had the ball not bounced over the fence, Diaz would have easily scored. Instead the umps said the ball would be ruled a ground-rule double and Diaz would need to return to third base. The score would remain tied at 4, only to be broken a half-inning later by a walk-off homer from Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez, cementing a 6-4 Boston victory and setting up an elimination game for Tampa Bay on Monday in Game 4 at Fenway Park. The umps said the entire six-man crew of umpires came to the same conclusion based on the Rule 5.06 in the MLB umpire handbook, which states that any fair ball deflected by the fielder into the stands leads to the batter and runner being entitled to advance two bases.
The Blues wrapped up their preseason this weekend with a 7-3 win against the Blue Jackets on Friday. The start their season on Saturday with a game in Colorado against the Avalanche. Puck drops at 8PM. The Blues also announced over the weekend that they have come to terms with James Neal on a one-year contract. Also the team announced that Logan Brown and Mackenzie MacEachern have been assigned to the AHL Springfield team. As far as opening night for the NHL? That happens tomorrow with the Penguins and Lightning starting off the season at 6:30 and the Kraken make their debut against the Golden Knights at 9PM.
The Green Bay Packers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 25 to 22 yesterday. But it was TORTURE, after both teams combined to miss FIVE consecutive kicks that could have won the game. With just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter and the score tied at 22, Packers kicker MASON CROSBY missed a 36-yarder. Then Bengals kicker EVAN MCPHERSON’s 57-yard attempt bounced off the right upright with 26 seconds to go.
That gave the Packers the ball at midfield, and they quickly got it inside the 35. But Crosby missed another shot from 51 yards away at the buzzer . . . sending the game into overtime. Crosby and McPherson each missed one in overtime, before Crosby finally made a 49-yarder for the win. But after the day he had, his first reaction wasn’t to celebrate. He just SHRUGGED as he jogged off the field.
Following his team’s loss to the Packers, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was taken to a hospital after sustaining a possible throat contusion. No further update on his status was provided. Burrow played the entire game, completing 26 of 38 pass attempts for 281 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. It’s unclear when the potential throat contusion took place.
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was carted to the locker room after suffering a hit to the head in the second quarter on Sunday. Jones was hit as he ran toward the end zone on a 3rd-and-goal try. He stood up and attempted to walk back to the huddle after the hit, but stumbled before regaining his balance. Giants trainers then attended to Jones and escorted him to the sideline. Jones’s injury wasn’t the only major exit for the Giants on Sunday. Running back Saquon Barkley was ruled out early with an ankle injury. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay was also sidelined for the second half due to a knee injury.
The U.S. men’s national team missed a chance to fortify its place on top the World Cup qualifying table. Panama shockingly upset the US 1-0 last night. It was Panama’s first win over the U.S. in World Cup qualifying in nine all-time meetings. It also marked the U.S.’s first defeat in 2022 World Cup qualifying after a 2-0-2 start. The result dropped the U.S. into second place in the region’s table, three points behind Mexico. The top three teams automatically go to the World Cup, while the fourth-place finisher heads to an intercontinental playoff for one more ticket to Qatar.
And finally — In a fight that is being talked about as one of the all-time great heavyweight bouts, Tyson Fury retained his WBC title after knocking out Deontay Wilder on Saturday. After putting Wilder on the canvas in the third round, Fury found himself on the floor twice in the fourth. In a brutal, roller coaster fight in front of 15,820 fans, the 33-year-old regrouped and put Wilder down in the 10th before delivering two enormous right hands to win the bout with a knockout. Fury said: “Shots like that end careers…I just hope that he’s OK. Because he took a lot of punishment tonight. We fought like two warriors in there. And I went over to shake his hand and say well done and he was like ‘No, I don’t respect you’
