What a rollercoaster of a week. We were the target of a smash and grab burglary at 3:18 this morning. We’re sweeping up the broken glass & boarding up the front this morning, but we will be open today for lunch as usual & we would sure love to see your smiling faces in the shop. pic.twitter.com/qnkz3Aj5Ax

A McDonald’s Worker Throws a Cup of Ice at a Drive-Thru Customer – LINK A Crazy Neighbor Lady Was Caught on Camera Climbing Over an Adjoining Wall – LINK MoDOT warns of snow plowing delay due to driver shortage – LINK Kevin Spacey got a quick victory in court yesterday, when a civil jury took a little over an hour to decide he did NOT sexually assault fellow actor Anthony Rapp when he was underage in 1986. Rapp was seeking $40 million in damages. Spacey didn’t speak to reporters after the verdict, but his attorney said, quote, “We’re very grateful to the jury for seeing through these false allegations. What’s next is Mr. Spacey is going to be proven that he’s innocent of anything he’s been accused of. That there was no truth to any of the allegations.” Spacey still has more court battles to fight . . . including a criminal case in London, where he’s accused of sexually assaulting three men while he was the artistic director of a theater. Andy Dick was arrested for allegedly stealing power tools from someone’s garage in Santa Barbara County, California. Maybe he needed them to renovate a home he posted on Instagram. Listen as he’s surprised there’s another part of the home. No word if he and the unknown guy in the clip are squatting, but it certainly doesn’t look like a move-in ready rental or sale. ‘The Office’ actors Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey revealed in their podcast, ‘Office Ladies’, that the show paid a whopping $25,000 to have Steve Carrell’s character, Michael Scott, sing one line from a Billy Joel song. They explained that in season 7’s episode, “WUPH.com”, Michael Scott sings “Oh but it just may be a lunatic you’re looking for” from Joel’s 1980 song “You May Be Right”. ‘The Office’ line producer Randy Cordray told Fischer that the show had to pay $25,000 for the rights to sing mere seconds of the song. Are you more into villains than heroes? Based on a recent survey of over 2,000 people, three in five watch a movie or series JUST for the villain. Also depending on the generation, there’s a different reason for this preference. Generation X are more interested in a villain’s powers, while millennials are interested in a backstory, and Generation Z thinks villains are more complex. And in a movie about their own life, 34% of people imagine themselves as the villain. Which leaves me with so many questions. And these are the Top 5 types of characters that make the best villain:
- Vampire: 34%
- Zombie: 27%
- Devil: 27%
- Mob boss or member: 26%
- Werewolf: 25%
#MeToo comes for everyone eventually . . . even the dead. On her “Unqualified” podcast, Anna Faris accused “Ghostbusters” director Ivan Reitman of touching her inappropriately. It was during the making of the 2006 movie “My Super Ex-Girlfriend”. She said, quote, “I was doing a scene where I was on a ladder and I was supposed to be taking books off a shelf and he slapped my ass in front of the crew so hard. “And all I could do was giggle. I remember looking around and I remember seeing the crew members being like, ‘Wait, what are you going to do about that? That seemed weird.'” This allegedly happened well before the #MeToo movement, which is why Anna didn’t know how to respond. Reitman died in February of this year. ‘Jackass’ star Johnny Knoxville says despite Bam Margera’s troubles, he still loves his former co-star. Knoxville told ‘Variety’ “I haven’t spoken to Bam in about a year and a half, give or take six months. [Jackass director] Jeff Tremaine, Steve-O and I had a face-to-face meeting with Bam and his wife, trying to figure out how to get him help. Then we had a Zoom as a group not long after that, and that was the last time I talked to him.” Margera was fired from the ‘Jackass’ franchise for breaking a contract forbidding drug use. He also went missing from rehab. But Margera has also dropped his lawsuit against Knoxville for “wrongful termination” and said he was “better off” not starring in ‘Jackass 4’. When asked if Margera could ever return to ‘Jackass’, Knoxville answered “I think that would be a discussion. I only want him to get better. That’s the first step. He has to take that step and maintain that step, because everything else is just gravy. ‘Jackass’ is not important when you’re talking about someone’s life.” Kelsey Grammer addressed how the new Frasier revival would address the loss of John Mahoney, who died in 2018 and played patriarch Martin Crane in the comedy series. Kelsey, 67, will reprise his role as radio psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane. Frasier ran for 11 seasons between 1993 and 2004, but the Paramount+ will not be a reboot of the series. “Frasier, in his third or fourth act, is not a reboot, but a new show centered around the character in a new set of circumstances and a new city,” Kelsey said. “It is not a reboot.” Back in July, Derek Berry — this time working with the events platform Bucket Listers — helped launch The Golden Girls Kitchen in the Los Angeles area (LINK). Now, that pop-up is slated to start a run in New York City next month. Billed as a “fully immersive pop-up restaurant” that takes “fans of all ages to 1980s Miami, safely transporting them into the world of their favorite golden gals,” The Golden Girls Kitchen will open on Wednesday, November 16 at Skorpios in Midtown Manhattan. Beyond the new location, the other details are very similar to the pop-up that ran in Beverly Hills. The ticketed fast-casual restaurant will give customers a reserved seat and guaranteed 90-minute window for dining, entree and cheesecake included, all of which Bucket Listers says is “served by a lovable Shady Pines waiter.” Menu options include items like Sophia’s Lasagna Al Forno, The Lanai: A “Miami-Style” Cuban Sandwich, Blanche’s Georgia Style Cookie, and the Bacon Lettuce Potato Sandwich (Say It Fast). Cheesecake varieties include chocolate, strawberry, pumpkin, and Oreo, or you can upgrade to the Sperheoven Krispies which includes cheesecake, strawberries, and chocolate ice cream. And don’t fret: Cocktails and mocktails are also available. If you’re a bit of a scaredy cat, but still want to join in on some horror movie fun, we have a few you can start with. These are the 20 LEAST scary movies of all time, based on their number of jump scares:
- “The Silence of the Lambs”(1991): Zero jump scares
- “Cannibal Holocaust”(1980): Zero jump scares
- “The Blair Witch Project”(1999): Zero jump scares
- “Bone Tomahawk”(2015): Zero jump scares
- “Carrie”(1976): One jump scare
So this list clearly didn’t take disturbing images, gore, or psychological suspense into account. And there are movies on this list that will ABSOLUTELY mess with you. But hey, it’s a start. https://youtu.be/X0tOpBuYasI

Since August, Taylor Swift has been teasing us with snippets of information about Midnights, her highly anticipated tenth studio album. Midnights features Taylor’s boyfriend of six years. Joe appears under the credits using his “fake” name William Bowery and is credited as co-writing “Sweet Nothing” with Swift. Also, Zoë Kravitz has co-writer credits on two tracks from the upcoming album. CMT is putting together a star-studded event for Loretta Lynn. The country legend’s life and career will be celebrated during a public memorial service from Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry on Sunday, Oct. 30. The late legend’s family along with CMT partnered up for Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Celebration of the Life and Music of Loretta Lynn. The special event that will air live and commercial-free on CMT at 6 p.m. Liam Gallagher says you won’t hear any Oasis tunes in his upcoming concert documentary because his brother and former bandmate, Noel, has blocked their use in the film. ‘Knebworth 22′, premiering next month, captures Liam’s two solo shows at England’s Knebworth Festival in June. Liam also said Noel blocked the Oasis songs that he sang at Taylor Hawkins’ tribute concert in London last month. Calling his brother “an angry squirt” and “horrible man” while explaining the situation on Twitter, Liam added “You can stop us using the songs but you can’t erase our memories! Shame on you Noel Gallagher.” DJ Shaquille O’Neal tried to set a Guinness World Record last month at the the Lost Lands Festival. Performing under his moniker DJ Diesel, Shaq took the stage after putting the call out to his fans. “Should we go for Guinness world record for biggest moshpit at@lost_lands???,” he tweeted. It looked like the fans came prepared to give Shaq what he was asking for as the mosh pit activity was heavy during his set. As for whether Shaq completed the “largest mosh pit” at Lost Lands, that may be hard to figure out. When DevilDriver claimed to have broken the Guinness World Record for “largest circle pit” at 2007’s Download Festival, the Guinness committee rejected the attempt due to the inability to “define where any circle/mosh pit starts and ends.” So an official record may be hard to come by where the “largest mosh pit” is concerned. Yesterday we talked about the offensive awards in the MLB and some of the contenders well today let’s talk about some Cardinals and their chances some defensive awards. The Rawlings utility Gold Glove will have two Cardinals contending for it as Tommy Edman, who is also a Gold Glove finalist at second base, and Brendan Donovan were named on Thursday as finalists to take home the award. They were two of four Cardinals named as finalists for this year’s set of awards given to the top defensive players at each position in each league. Third baseman Nolan Arenado and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt joined the two as finalists. Edman is one of two players to be named a finalist at more than one position. This would be Arenado’s 10th consecutive Gold Glove award at third base. He took home his first Gold Glove as a rookie in 2013 with Colorado and has won it every season since then. Goldschmidt led the league with a .999 fielding percentage and 118 double plays turned. Goldschmidt — a four-time Gold Glove winner — committed two errors in 1,163 defensive chances. He previously won a Gold Glove in 2021 with St. Louis and three while with Arizona. Edman was awarded the Gold Glove for NL second basemen a year ago and could take home two awards this year. The Gold Glove Award winners will be announced at 4 p.m. Nov. 1 during ESPN’s “Baseball Tonight” broadcast. Remember the chess scandal thing that all started here in St. Louis? Well Hans Niemann, a 19-year-old chess grandmaster, that’s been at the center of it all says the cheating scandal was an orchestrated smear campaign by his two main competitors. So he is suing. Niemann’s suit, filed in St. Louis federal court, is seeking $100 million in damages because, it says, his career has been ruined by fellow grandmaster Magnus Carlsen, Chess.com and American grandmaster and streamer Hikaru Nakamura. The legal action is the latest move in a months long controversy that followed Niemann’s shocking victory over Carlsen here in St. Louis, ending Carlsen’s 53-game unbeaten streak. Carlsen accused Niemann of cheating and withdrew from the tournament. HOUSTON 3 – N.Y. Yankees 2… Alex Bregman cracked a three-run homer in the bottom of the third inning and the Astros held off the Yankees to take a 2-0 lead in the American League Championship Series. Framber Valdez allowed just a pair of unearned runs in the fourth-inning and pitched four-hit ball over seven innings while striking out nine. The series shifts to New York for tomorrow’s Game 3. The Yankees will send righthander Gerrit Cole to the mound while Houston hasn’t named a starter. Here’s the final call. TONIGHT’S NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES SCHEDULE… San Diego (Joe Musgrove) is at Philadelphia (Ranger Suárez) for Game 3 with the series tied 1-1, 8:37 p.m. Central The Cardinals (3-4) held off the Saints (2-5) to snap an eight-game home losing streak. Marco Wilson and Isaiah Simmons returned interceptions for touchdowns barely a minute apart late in the first half after the game was tied 14-14. Kyler Murray completed 20 of 29 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown. Deandre Hopkins finished with 10 catches for 102 yards. ARIZONA 42 – New Orleans 34… The NFL is moving Sunday Ticket from DirecTV to a streaming service beginning next year, and according to reports, the four major bidders at this point are: ESPN+ . . . Apple TV+ . . . Amazon Prime . . . and YouTube. In a poll of more than 5,000 NFL fans, 35% want it to go to YouTube . . . 29% want it to go to Amazon Prime . . . 20% want ESPN+ . . . and 16% would prefer Apple TV+. The price is expected to be similar to what it is now, and it would probably be an added premium fee, on top of regular subscription fees. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have an even record of 3 and 3, which is still a tie for first place in the NFC South. But Tom Brady keeps getting asked if he’ll retire before the end of the season. Yesterday, he joked with the reporters that he’s done.
