Russia released a list of 963 Americans banned from visiting the country. Who was the most surprising entry on the list? Morgan Freeman! The actor was banned alongside President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Facebook mogul Mark Zuckerberg, and Hillary Clinton. Why was Freeman put on the list? The Kremlin described him as “a well-known film actor who in September 2017 recorded a video message accusing Russia of conspiring against the United States and calling for a fight against our country.” Former presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump are not on the banned list.
Remember when OZZY OSBOURNE crashed his ATV and almost died? Well, that was in 2003 . . . 19 years ago . . . and he’s STILL feeling the effects. In fact, he needs another neck surgery because of it. He says, quote, “I can’t walk properly these days. I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.” After the accident, Ozzy had surgery to repair a broken collarbone, eight fractured ribs, and a damaged vertebrae in his neck. But then, back in 2019, he suffered a fall at his home that dislodged the metal rods and bolts surgeons had placed in his back and collarbone. So he had to go under the knife again.
The soundtrack for the upcoming “Elvis” biopic won’t just include Elvis. It won’t even include just Elvis SONGS. The artist lineup is pretty out there . . . blending old music with new artists. It’ll include both original songs and ELVIS covers. Kacey Musgraves did a cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. And there’s the previously announced original from Doja Cat called “Vegas” that samples Big Mama Thornton’s “Hound Dog”. Additional artists on the soundtrack include Jack White . . . As long as a ghost out there needs to be busted, there will always be new Ghostbusters films. It’s already been confirmed that a Ghostbusters 5 is on the way. Now, Sony chairman Tom Rothman says even more Ghostbusters films are coming, too, adding that his company considers the films part of a “franchise universe.” Sony is also working on a Ghostbusters virtual reality game for its Meta Quest 2 VR headset.

Just when you think you have all of the answers, Kanye West changes the questions. In his quest to “touch the world,” Ye broke his Instagram silence to announce he is involved in changing food packaging for McDonald’s. In a post featuring a redesigned burger box, West wrote, “Ye teams up with a legendary industrial designer to reimagine McDonald’s packaging.” He teased the collaboration in his IG story with a lyric from “Gold Digger.” Ye wrote, “Next week it’s the fries.” West was a part of the McDonald’s Super Bowl commercial. How deep does the Ye X Mickey D’s collab go? Will there be a Kanye meal soon? Time will tell.
Former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson has broken his silence on his fight with an ‘overzealous fan’ onboard a plane last month. During his Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, the boxer shared that he wasn’t being charged for punching Melvin Townsend III. Tyson said that he even “took pictures” with Townsend before the guy started bothering him.

Stranger Things creators the Duffer brothers have confirmed they’ve got plans for a spin-off series and the only person who knows what they are is Finn Wolfhard. It was confirmed earlier this year that Stranger Things will conclude with season five. Announcing the news, the Duffer brothers wrote: “There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes.” They went on to say: “We do have an idea for a spinoff that we’re super excited about but we haven’t told anyone the idea yet, much less written it. We think everyone — including Netflix — will be surprised when they hear the concept, because it’s very, very different. However, they then went on to reveal that “crazy smart kid” Wolfhard (who plays Mike Wheeler in the show) “correctly guessed what it was going to be about. But aside from Finn, no one else knows!”

Not all the insanity in the JOHNNY DEPP / AMBER HEARD defamation trial is coming from the witness stand or the attorneys. Not surprisingly, there are a lot of PSYCHOS who are unnaturally obsessed with this nonsense. And some of them are able to make their way into the courtroom. Yesterday, after the judge called for a morning break, a woman in the gallery yelled, quote, “Johnny I love you! Our souls are connected!” Johnny waved to the woman, but then she held up her BABY, and said, quote, “This baby is yours!” She was escorted from the courtroom. Two more things to note: KATE MOSS is going to testify by video link tomorrow, because a rumor came up earlier in the trial that Johnny once pushed her down a flight of stairs . . .And COURTNEY LOVE is walking back comments she made about the trial that kind of shaded Amber.
CHANNING TATUM seems like a really cool guy. But if we believe the not-always-reliable British tabloids, that might not always be the case. Channing supposedly had some diners kicked out of a London restaurant because he thought they were taking his picture . . . even though they weren’t. A so-called “source” says, quote, “There was a group of six enjoying a meal and taking pictures of each other. Channing thought they were taking pictures of him and furiously stuck his middle finger up at them. “The next thing, the maitre d’ was telling them to leave.” No word yet from Channing’s rep. He’s in London filming the next “Magic Mike” movie

A guy in Idaho broke the Guinness world record (LINK) after running a half marathon while wearing 111 t-shirts. He’s broken more than 200 records, to bring attention to STEM education.
The NHL said Monday that St. Louis police are investigating threats made toward Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri, who has been the subject of racist social media posts since he was involved in a collision that knocked Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington out for the rest of the series.
NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said that the league was in touch with St. Louis Police who were employing enhanced security procedures at both the arena and Avalanche hotel. The team said Sunday night it was aware of threats against Kadri and was working with local law enforcement to investigate. Kadri collided with Binnington during Game 3 of their second-round playoff series Saturday night; Kadri said a Blues player threw a water bottle at him during a post-game interview. The posts were pretty vicious as you know people can be. Super racist and even had death threats against this dude. He is of Lebanses descent and was born in London, Ontario. Sadly, Kadri acknowledged, he’s been dealing with racial slurs for much of his life.
“I’m getting good at just putting it in the rearview mirror,” he said. “It’s a big deal. I try to act like it’s not, and I just keep moving forward.”
A person wearing a dark blue jacket with “St. Louis Police” printed in yellow on the back stood near the Avalanche bench as Kadri and the Avalanche took to the ice before game time on Monday. The game was played amidst a heightened police presence.
So what happened last night amid all that police presence? Kadri was booed upon taking his first shift a little over a minute into the game, as well as each time he touched the puck.
With Binnington watching from a team suite, Kadri scored twice — and celebrated his first goal with a salute to the crowd — during a second-period surge in which Colorado scored four times to build a 4-1 lead. He then completed his first career three-goal playoff game by putting the Avalanche up 5-3 midway through the third period — quieting the crowd. Kadri’s first NHL postseason hat trick put the Colorado Avalanche in firm control of this series with a 6-3 victory over the Blues on Monday at Enterprise Center. As a result, the series heads back to Denver with the Avs up three games to one in the best-of-7 series. They can clinch Wednesday in a 7 p.m. start at Ball Arena (LINK)
Paul Goldschmidt had an evening leaden with three strikeouts and then a double play, but in the 10th inning with 2 outs and bases loaded he turned on 90-mph slider and drilled it for a walk-off grand slam to launch the Cardinals to a 7-3 victory against the Toronto Bluejays. Goldschmidt’s seventh career grand slam was the seven walk-off homer of his career and the seventh extra-inning homer of his career. In the last swing of the game, Goldschmidt also extended his on-base streak to 29 games and his hitting streak to 15 games. Goldschmidt’s grand slam was the first to win a game in the Cardinals’ last at-bat since Matt Carpenter’s in 2017, and that too came against the Blues Jays. Cards Vs Bluejays tonight at 6:45 (LINK)
The return of the XFL to St Louis would not be surprising as the BattleHawks were the top team in the league in terms of interest and ticket sales. And now a big announcement is coming June 1st. Will the XFL just announce that it is returning to St Louis for the 2023 season only, or will they announce all eight cities? According to an XFL Insider, those cities are DC, St Louis, Orlando, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Las Vegas, and Seattle. June 1st is a Wednesday so expect something on their new partner ESPN.
According to former DC Defenders content director Troy Machir, the DC Defenders’ name will not be used if the team returns to DC in 2023. So the likely hood that the XFL releases its cities only seems more probable. It is already out there, and the stadium deals look to be wrapping up (LINK)
