Priscilla Presley and her granddaughter Riley Keough have come to an agreement over the estate of the late Lisa Marie Presley. There’s no official word on the terms, but sources say Priscilla walked away with MILLIONS. After Lisa Marie died, Priscilla challenged a 2016 amendment to her trust that completely CUT HER OUT and left Riley in charge of everything, including Graceland and Elvis Presley Enterprises. Even though the media painted it as a family feud, Priscilla says, quote, “As a family, we are pleased that we resolved this together . . . We love and appreciate all of you and the Presley family is stronger than ever.”
Jimmy Fallon is getting more bad press over the Writers Guild strike. The word is that the non-writing staff of the “Tonight Show” is being placed on an unpaid leave of absence, beginning next week. The kicker is that employees from “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers” will continue to be paid. And “Late Night” is on the same network as Fallon: NBC. It’s not clear who’s paying the non-writers on those other shows, so it’s impossible to say at this point whether Fallon is stiffing his people or not.
Corey Taylor‘s second solo album, CMF2, will be out on September 15th. The first single from it is “Beyond,” a song that dates back several years that taylor says he’s rewritten five or six times. The video for the track is on YouTube now. In the clip Taylor runs into a group of men that are wearing different versions of his Slipknot mask. Taylor has also announced a solo tour that will make its way through St. Louis on Saturday, September 2nd at the Factory – tickets go on sale this Friday at 10a.
Dolly Parton’s rock album is coming this fall, but now some fans who were planning to buy it say they WON’T be. And it all stems from Kid Rock’s video where he shot up a bunch of cases of Bud Light with an assault rifle because he was mad about the trans woman spokesperson for the brand. People are threatening to boycott DOLLY for featuring him on the album. He’s on a song called “Either Or”. And some Dolly fans say they won’t buy the album unless she drops that song. Dolly’s been a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ rights for years, and Kid Rock has decisively NOT been. So, a lot of people just don’t get why she put him on her album in the first place. The LGBT magazine “The Advocate” posted a big op-ed calling it a “slap in the face.” They say having him on there makes it seem like she’s okay with his views. Quote, “The implication is ‘Oh, he must be a good person if Dolly chooses him along with all these other luminaries.'”
We’ve been hearing about the amazing performances and guest stars at Willie Nelson’s Birthday Bash last month, and now we get to SEE it. The concert movie “Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90” is coming to theaters on June 11th
ABC is coming out with a new dating series this fall called “The Golden Bachelor”. It’ll be “The Bachelor” but with senior citizens. ABC said, quote “The women arriving at the mansion have a lifetime of experience, living through love, loss and laughter, hoping for a spark that ignites a future full of endless possibilities.” No other details have been announced, like the age range of the contestants or a premiere date.
