You might check into a hotel with a hot date, but this hotel chain has its own ideas about the pillow talk. Days Inn by Wyndham has tapped actor and voiceover artist Patrick Warburton (LINK) — famous for his role as Elaine’s on-again, off-again boyfriend David Puddy in “Seinfeld” — to be the voice of new talking pillows that are being placed in select properties across the country. These pillows dish out compliments when a guest hits a “press here” button on the top right-hand corner of the pillow. Warburton dishes out good vibes with pre-loaded phrases like, “Whoa, those are some awesome PJs” and, “I love having pillow talk with you.” Warburton even went rogue, straying from the script — which, of course, includes advertisement-level phrases like, “Wake up, wake up, wake up my favorite Days Inn guest” — to add his own accolades.
Starring in American Pie came with some real benefits. Jennifer Coolidge, who is 60, is on the new cover of Variety, talking about how The White Lotus helped her believe in herself, and the boom to her sex life from her role in the American Pie films. ((audio)) And as for the long-awaited Legally Blonde 3, the actress says she knows “not a drop of information.”
Aquaman has taken to the skies. Jason Momoa lived up to his superhero title Tuesday after a now-viral video of him handing out water on a Hawaiian Airlines flight soared onto social media, which jokingly called him “Aguaman.” The 43-year-old “Aquaman” star was shown handing out sustainable Mananalu water — which was created by Momoa — while wearing a gray suit and black crewneck T-shirt, with a pink flower tucked in his hair. In addition to the aluminum water bottles, the “Game of Thrones” alum gave every passenger a whopping 10,000 Hawaiian Airlines miles.
We’re about to find out if “Grey’s Anatomy” will outlast Dr. Meredith Grey. The show is entering its 19th season, and a new report says that ELLEN POMPEO is only expected to appear in eight episodes, which is about one-third of the season. She may continue to narrate, but even that isn’t a guarantee. This isn’t a HUGE shock. Her role has been shrinking in recent seasons, and Ellen is moving on to star in an untitled “orphan-themed” limited series at Hulu. It is possible that this is the final season for Dr. Grey . . . or the final season for “Grey’s Anatomy” altogether . . . but nothing is official yet.
Bob Saget has hosted a fundraising event for the Scleroderma Research Foundation for the last 30 years. But with his passing, this year’s event will be a tribute to HIM from his famous friends. It’s called Cool Comedy, Hot Cuisine and it’ll be hosted by John Mayer, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jeff Ross. Jeff says Bob’s show must go on until they find a cure. The comedy lineup includes Nikki Glaser, Howie Mandel, Joel McHale, John Stamos, and Kevin Nealon. It’ll go down September 21st in Beverly Hills. Tickets start at $500, but there’s already a waitlist for those “cheap” seats.
Floating around in zero-gravity can be nauseating. Just ask Kevin Bacon, who got PUKED ON by a cameraman while making “Apollo 13”. They needed to simulate weightlessness for the movie, so an aircraft from NASA was used, and it was nicknamed the “Vomit Comet.” Anyone who boarded was advised to take anti-nausea meds, to prevent . . . any messes. In an interview with “Entertainment Weekly”, Kevin said, quote, “What’s interesting about being thrown up on when it’s zero-G is that it hovers there for a while . . . it’s floating, and there’s nothing you can really do, except go, ‘Here it comes,’ and when they hit the G forces, it’s coming down on you.” To make things worse, Kevin said their lunches on set were filled with SPICY food, burritos, and chili con carne. So you can imagine what that looked like.
Dev Patel . . . from “Slumdog Millionaire”, “Lion”, and “The Green Knight” . . . broke up a KNIFE FIGHT in the street where someone was stabbed. It happened on Monday night in Australia, where Dev lives. He was with some friends, when they saw a man and a woman GOING AT IT outside a convenience store. The woman had apparently stabbed the man in the chest, and the local news released footage of Dev talking to the police after things cooled down. A rep for Dev confirms that he “acted on his natural instinct to de-escalate the situation and break up the fight.” But added, quote, “There are no heroes in this situation.” The man was hospitalized and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. It’s unclear what their relationship was . . . but the police say they DID know each other.
Have you ever been enjoying a nice, peaceful walk, and then been rudely interrupted by . . . Tom Cruise doing daredevil stunts? Probably not. But that’s what happened to a couple in the U.K. They say they were out walking on a mountain when Tom arrived . . . on a helicopter at the top of mountain . . . to do a paragliding stunt. And he apologized to them when he noticed them with their dog. He said, “Sorry for disturbing your peaceful walk with all the noise. I like your dog.” And then he added, “See you later, folks” and then JUMPED OFF THE CLIFF. No word on what he was filming, but if we had to guess, probably “Mission: Impossible 7”.

Shakira is now going to trial and is could be facing up to 8 years in prison. Last Friday prosecutors unveiled six charges against Shakira after she rejected a settlement deal earlier in the week. She’s being accused of failing to pay $15 million in taxes between 2012 and 2014 in Spain, a period in which the star says she was not living in the country. According to court documents, Shakira was a resident there during that time frame. She did purchase a home in Barcelona in 2012. In addition to prison time, the filing calls for a fine of $24 million should she be found guilty. A statement from Shakira’s representatives this week maintained that she is “fully confident of her innocence” and says the case is “a total violation of her rights.” The story emerges a month after she and her partner of 11 years ended their relationship. They share two children together.
Metallica has a new line of merch for all Eddie Munson fans! The band has released t-shirts, hoodies, and a jersey celebrating the ‘Stranger Things’ character, all centered on Munson’s Dungeons and Dragons-playing Hellfire Club. Metallica revealed the merch collection, saying “Eddie, this one’s for you. We’re having the most metal meeting ever of The Hellfire Club so we’re scouting out ‘lost sheep’ and outsiders to join. Do you think you have what it takes? Then suit up.” Pick up your Hellfire Club merch at Metallica.com/store or at Netflix.shop.
The Rolling Stones performed in Spain on Tuesday, and in the middle of “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, Mick Jagger noticed a woman in the crowd . . . who was holding an American flag . . . AND who was TOPLESS. Mick responded by playfully lifting his own shirt to flash his nips back at the woman. It’s unclear who the mystery woman is . . . but Mick shared the footage on an Instagram Story.
Garth Brooks dropped some big news yesterday. When asked if he’d be interested in playing a local arena, he said, quote, “Oh yeah. This will be our last stadium tour.” That’s huge because Garth LOVES performing. But as usual, it’s not about him. He says those tours are too hard on his crew. Quote, “These guys haven’t been home in months, so they need to have the same life they’ve given me.” This does NOT mean he’s retiring from the road. It’s just going to be less structured. Quote, “We’ll never do an organized tour again. We might just pick spots and do some stuff but not have it clustered as a tour.” In the same interview they asked for his take on dynamic ticket pricing. He had a few thoughts. Quote, “Here’s the bottom line for me. I have screamed and screamed as long as you’ve known me . . . just knock out scalping. That’s it. Just make it illegal. That way, the price of the ticket is the price of the ticket. The same money is going to be exchanged when scalping tickets, it’s just now who gets the money, that’s the difference.”

“NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, must now decide whether or not to appeal the decision of his independent arbiter, Sue L. Robinson, to suspend Browns quarterback, Deshaun Watson, for six games because he violated the league’s personal conduct policy.
Basically, Robinson thought Watson guilty of egregious behavIor, but because of precedent was only willing to impose a six-game suspension on him, which is not the indefinite suspension with application for reinstatement after a year that Goodell was calling for. So, Goodell is left to appeal to himself to stiffen Watson’s penalty, but in so doing would undermine the decision of the arbiter and would leave the door open for a lawsuit by Watson and the NFLPA in federal court.” (LINK)
Speaking of lawsuits: A group of LIV golfers is reportedly taking major action against the PGA Tour in a bid to play in the FedEx Cup Playoffs beginning next week.
Eleven members of LIV Golf, including Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau, filed an antitrust lawsuit against the PGA Tour on Wednesday. Three of the plaintiffs — Talor Gooch, Hudson Swafford and Matt Jones — are seeking a temporary restraining order in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California that would allow them to take part in next week’s FedEx Cup, which all three had qualified for prior to their defections to LIV.
The Tour is reportedly expected to respond by defending its practices and arguing that the plaintiffs do not face a real emergency, had been aware of the situation for some time, and would be costing other golfers opportunities by insisting on their participation.
This does not come as a surprise, as LIV had indicated for some time that legal proceedings were an inevitability if the PGA Tour followed through on excluding LIV golfers from major events. Once the Tour followed through on that threat by suspending all defectors (LINK), this was only a matter of time.
The controversial Saudi-backed LIV Golf circuit has attracted a number of top players, partly by offering substantially more money and more luxurious accommodations (LINK) to those who join. The Tour has responded by attempting to block any defectors from participating in Tour events and established majors.
Aaron Rodgers (LINK) is opening up about how his use of psychedelic drugs helped his personal mental health journey.
During an interview Rodgers — the longtime Green Bay Packers quarterback — said ayahuasca, a plant-based psychedelic, helped him “unconditionally love” others.
“To me, one of the core tenets of your mental health is that self-love,” Rodgers told host Aubrey Marcus, who also founded the supplement company, Onnit. “That’s what ayahuasca did for me, was help me see how to unconditionally love myself.”
“It’s only in that unconditional self-love, that then I’m able to truly be able to unconditionally love others,” he added. “And what better way to work on my mental health than to have an experience like that?”
The 38-year-old former Super Bowl champion said the effect of the drug also helped his relationship with the Packers.
“The greatest gift I can give my teammates, in my opinion, is to be able to show up and to be someone who can model unconditional love to them,” he explained. “I mean obviously it’s important I play well, and show up and lead and all that stuff. They won’t care about what you say until they know how much you care.”
According to the Alcohol and Drug Foundation (LINK), ayahuasca is drunk as a liquid and can affect a person’s thinking, sense of time, and emotions.
While Rodgers said he didn’t recommend ayahuasca to others, he said it had a profound impact on his life.
“I laid there afterwards on my mat and then opened my eyes and it felt like I was opening my eyes for the first time,” Rodgers told Marcus of one of his experiences.
“I really feel like that experience paved the way for me to have the best season of my career,” he continued.
