Linkin Park will release a new song – an outtake from 2003’s ‘Meteora’ – called “Lost” this Friday. The band has released a teaser of the song on social media. ‘Meteora’ turns 20 on March 25th.

Good news for the Recording Academy! The 2023 Grammy Awards nabbed more than 12.4 million viewers, a 30% increase from last year’s ceremony and the largest audience since 2020, according to time zone-adjusted Nielsen ratings. The award show was the most-watched program of the night! It also reached the largest livestream audience in history on Paramount+ and other CBS platforms, a 33% increase from 2022.

Music’s biggest night out brought some big moments! Beyoncé made history by winning the largest number of Grammy Awards ever — 32 total.  This year, the awards were reportedly a big hit on social media, too, coming in as the No. 1 social entertainment event of 2023 so far, according to CBS.

Kevin Costner might be leaving “Yellowstone”, due to scheduling conflicts.  He’s busy directing and starring in a western film called “Horizon” . . . and that could lead to the original “Yellowstone” coming to an end when Season Five wraps later this year.

But the show is VERY popular . . . so if that happens there’s talk of a possible spinoff with Matthew McConaughey.

This is just a rumor for now though.  A spokesperson for Paramount said, quote, “We have no news to report.  Kevin Costner is a big part of ‘Yellowstone’ and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come . . .

“[But] we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world . . .  Matthew McConaughey is a phenomenal talent [and we’d love to work with him].” (Deadline)

Well, alright, alright! Matthew McConaughey is the latest actor set to portray another version of Elvis Presley. The actor has teamed up with Netflix to provide the voice of the King of Rock ‘n Roll for their adult animated series, Agent Elvis. Elvis‘s ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, and John Eddie created the series with Matthew McConaughey producing. The series follows Elvis as he trades in his jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves — all while holding down his day job as the King of Rock ’n’ Roll. Agent Elvis is set to debut in March on Netflix.

As Showtime folds into Paramount Plus, we are getting more details about the extensions of the Dexter and Billions universes.  Billions is expected to have at least four spinoffs, including Millions and Trillions.  There are Billions: Miami and Billions: London series in the works as well. The Miami series will focus on private aviation, and the London spinoff is about the UK financial system. Dexter will have a prequel series titled Dexter: Origins. A new version of Dexter: New Blood is expected to explore Dexter’s son, Harrison.

Calling it “the price of doing business in 2022”, Joe Elliott says he spent the Stadium Tour with Def Leppard and Motley Crue in “total isolation” to avoid COVID.

He explained “The safest way for us to keep that show on the road was just to avoid human beings as best we could, so all of us in Leppard traveled separately, which is the smartest decision we made. I didn’t stay in hotels. I lived on the bus – just me and Dale, my driver, in total isolation.” Elliott worried that “if we cancel a stadium show in Arlington, Texas, at four in the afternoon, people will have traveled hundreds of miles and spent hundreds of dollars to get there. So we avoided contact, we tested every day and it worked. We didn’t lose one gig.” He added that even though the bands acted “like children onstage” Elliott said everyone remained mature about the health of the touring crew.

Believe it or not, it’s been 25 YEARS since Creed was EVERYWHERE.  It may also be surprising that it’s been 10 years since they’ve been gone.

Singer Scott Stapp just did an interview, where he admitted that HE should get the blame . . . (or CREDIT) . . . for the band breaking up.  He said he got “mixed up in some things” while living the rock star lifestyle, and HE was having fun.

But the rest of the band was frustrated, because they’d picked up this Christian rock image . . . and the lifestyle wasn’t fitting with that.  So they didn’t want to look like hypocrites, or have to “live a lie.”  The Christian thing started with Scott . . . it wasn’t something that the rest of the band was even aware of, at first.

This was the original 2004 break-up.  They reunited in 2009 . . . did a couple tours, put out an album . . . and then went on hiatus in 2013.  That “hiatus” is still happening . . . despite on-and-off talk about another possible reunion. (Blabbermouth)

Jennifer Coolidge used to be a waitress at the beginning of her career.  And as all waitresses know, there are always rude customers.

So Jennifer used the worst interactions to her advantage.  She wrote about them to perform as comedic skits at an improv theater in L.A.

She talked about it while accepting a “Woman of the Year” award from Hasty Pudding Theatricals last weekend . . . quote, “It was life-changing to [mock] all the people who were so cruel and mean and play them on stage . . .

“You get it out of your system.  You’re like, I don’t even care that they weren’t nice.  I got amazing characters out of people I worked for, and I feel like that’s the most inspiring thing.  My favorite characters were wretched people.”

By the way, Jennifer says she’d “absolutely love” to do “Legally Blonde 3”. (People)
