By now..you have probably heard about the spit seen around the world.  The rumors surrounding the production of “Don’t Worry Darling” are almost legendary already . . . From the chaos over Shia LaBeouf’s departure to Olivia’s alleged feud with her star, Florence Pugh. And now we have SPITGATE, thanks to a video from a screening at the Venice Film Festival, where it looks like Harry Styles spits on his co-star Chris Pine. But Chris would like you to know that it did NOT happen.  His rep called it, quote, “a ridiculous story, a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation.” He added that there is, quote, “nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”  What the video…you tell us…(LINK)

Jennette McCurdy appears on the new episode of Jada Pinkett’s Facebook Watch show “Red Table Talk”. . . and she reads a truly insane email her late mother sent her. In the letter, Jennette’s mom Debbie rants about how disappointed she is in Jennette, calling her, quote, “a slut, a floozy, all used up.” She also shames her for gaining weight, calls her an “ugly monster,” and says, quote, “I told your brothers about you, and they all said they disown you just like I do.  We want nothing to do with you.” Then she ends the message with this:  “P.S.  Send money for a new fridge; ours broke.”

Things just got worse between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.  Angelina’s company is suing Brad for $250 MILLION over the French winery they bought as a couple. The company claims that Brad and his associates launched a campaign to seize control of the winery in order to ensure that Angelina would never see a dime from its profits.  And he did it to get back at her over their divorce and custody battles. The company also claims that Brad offered to buy Angelina’s stake, but the deal included a HUSH CLAUSE that would prevent her from discussing the circumstances that led to their divorce. Because of that demand, Angelina turned down the deal, and sold her stake to Stoli instead . . . which Brad was NOT happy about.

Last week, Rihanna and a group of friends hit up a New York City joint called Caviar Russe, where they enjoyed champagne, sashimi bites . . . and, of course, caviar. She asked the staff to stay past closing, and they eventually wrapped things up at around 2:00 a.m. And since they were cool about staying open for her, Rihanna paid them back by helping them close.  A so-called “source” says she was cleaning up and pushing barstools back into place for them.

The Creative Arts Emmys went down over the weekend.  That’s where they give out a bunch of statues they don’t want to bother with during the actual Emmy ceremony. And now four people are just one award shy of the EGOT:  Eminem, Adele, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr. Eminem got an Emmy for the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which won Outstanding Variety Special (Live). Adele’s “One Night Only” concert special won Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded). Paul and Ringo won Emmys as producers of the Peter Jackson special “The Beatles: Get Back”. All four of these artists are only missing a Tony . . . and until they get one, they’ll have to be satisfied with an EGO. Other EGO recipients include Cher, Common, Ron Howard, Randy Newman, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Martin Scorsese, composer John Williams, Kate Winslet and Barbra Streisand. The EGOT is when you win an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony.  It was coined by “Miami Vice” superstar Philip Michael Thomas.  Back in 1984, he said he hoped to achieve it within the next five years. To date, he hasn’t earned A SINGLE LETTER.  But there’s always next year.

Disney+ Day is tomorrow.  It’s basically a day where a bunch of new stuff comes out.  It’s earlier this year, to lead into the D23 fan club convention this weekend.  Here are some highlights:

1. The premiere of the live-action “Pinocchio”with Tom Hanksas Geppetto.
2. The streaming premiere of “Thor: Love and Thunder”.  There’s also a “Marvel Studios Assembled”special about the making of the movie.

Some Hollywood actors have become so committed to a role, they put their health on the line for their work.  Celebrities who have gone to the extreme to lose weight for a role include:

• Mila Kunis, who took up smoking again for her role as a ballerina in 2010’s ‘Black Swan’.  Kunis said “I used to be a smoker, and so I smoked a lot of cigarettes and I ate a limited amount of calories. Twelve hundred calories and I smoked…I don’t advocate this at all. It was awful.”
• Anne Hathaway said the idea for her role in ‘Les Miserables’ was to “look near death.” She ate only two pieces of oatmeal paste a day to drop 25 pounds.
• Christian Bale lost 55 pounds for ‘The Machinist’ by eating a single apple a day for his role as an insomniac.
• In order to go from 188 pounds to 135 in just five months to play a man living with AIDS in 2013’s ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, Matthew McConaughey said ” I found tapioca pudding, and I found the tiniest little antique spoon in New Orleans, a little-bitty sugar spoon, and I would eat it with that so it would last longer.”

Justin Bieber postponed his Justice Tour for a second time because he hasn’t fully recovered from Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome.  He postponed it earlier this year when the condition caused paralysis on one side of his face. He re-started the tour when he thought he was well enough.  But it looks like he’s changed his mind after performing at Brazil’s Rock in Rio festival last weekend. Justin posted on social media yesterday, quote, “After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now.  So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being . . .I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better.  I’ve been so proud to bring this show and our message of Justice to the world.  Thank you for your prayers and support throughout all of this!  I love you all passionately!” He hasn’t announced the rescheduled dates yet, but at least his face seems to still be working.

NIRVANA has won a lawsuit brought by SPENCER ELDEN, the naked baby on the cover of the classic 1991 album, “Nevermind,” claiming it was child pornography. A judge has ruled that Spencer waited too long to file the suit, citing a 10-year statute of limitations. The band’s attorneys also argued that ELDEN profited from the photo, having previously sold autographed copies of the cover and even recreated the photo for pay as an adult. When ROLLING STONE first interviewed him in 2003, ELDEN admitted he was “probably gonna get some money from it.”

Kanye West’s feud with Adidas is gaining support from the Hip Hop community.  Diddy is the latest superstar to chime in supporting Ye.  In an Instagram post on both of their IG pages, Diddy texted Kanye asking, “please can [sic] send me something I could post in support of you! I never wear Adidas again for the rest of my life if they don’t make you right!!!!” Ye replied, “Praise God Love you.” Swizz Beatz also supported Kanye by posting, “I usually mind my business but this is DEAD WRONG! If we let them do this to @kanyewest it will happen to us also!” West is furious with Adidas (and Gap) for reportedly leaving him out of meetings and important decisions for his Yeezy brand.

Bush has announced they’re releasing a new album on October 7th called ‘The Art of Survival’, releasing a new single, “More Than Machines”. We talked about it and played a little bit of it a week or so ago…but here is a little preview of the lead single in case you missed it. Bush is currently on the road with Alice in Chains and Breaking Benjamin.

After a year-long delay, AC/DC front man Brian Johnson is finally releasing his autobiography, ‘The Lives of Brian’ on October 13th. No reason was ever given for the memoir’s delay. ‘The Lives of Brian’ covers Johnson’s early years in County Durham through his return to the band with AC/DC’s 2020 album, ‘Power Up’.

Cards get the 4-1 win at Busch Stadium over the Nationals, who were on a hot streak after beating the Mets and Cards for a few. Quintana has made seven starts for the Cardinals since coming here and the Cardinals are 6-1 in those starts. It was the 80th win of the season for the Cardinals, who have won 27 of their past 35 games and they have an 8 1/2 lead over chasing Milwaukee in the National League Central Division. Jake Paul has found his next opponent — and he’s a combat sports luminary.

The YouTuber-turned-prizefighter will meet former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (LINK) in a boxing match Oct. 29 in Phoenix. The bout will be contested at 187 pounds over eight three-minute rounds. Silva, 47, is one of the greatest champions in UFC history and holds the record for most consecutive victories ever in the promotion (16).

“The plan is for me to fight at 185 [pounds] going forward and that’s what I wanted this fight at given it was the weight Anderson Silva fought at during his reign as the most dominant UFC champion ever,” Paul told ESPN. “Anderson’s team asked if we could set the weight at 187, 2 pounds more than what I wanted. That level of professionalism and precision is appreciated, and of course I agreed to his request.”

Paul was supposed to fight Tommy Fury last month at New York’s Madison Square Garden, but Fury withdrew because of what he said were travel issues (LINK) coming to the United States from England. Fury’s replacement was Hasim Rahman Jr., son of the former boxing heavyweight champion, but that bout was canceled because of weight complications with Rahman.

This will be Paul’s fourth fight against a former UFC fighter. Previously, Paul knocked out Ben Askren (LINK) and went 2-0 against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, the most recent bout a knockout win over Woodley in December. Paul has not fought since then.

Silva, though well past his prime, has a better résumé than both Woodley and Askren in MMA and boxing. He was the best pound-for-pound MMA fighter in the world for stretches during his lengthy title reign from 2006 to 2013 and one of the most creative knockout artists ever in that sport.

In boxing, Silva is 3-1 as a pro, with his best win coming over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (LINK) last year. Silva fought Bruno Machado in an exhibition boxing match in May and looked solid there. He has also knocked out former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz in boxing.

“I know that in life everything has its purpose,” Silva said in a statement. “Nothing comes just by chance. So, I thank God for my health, my family and my team for providing me with this opportunity to continue doing the thing that I love the most. I believe this will be the biggest combat event of the year and will truly make history in the sport forever. See you on October 29.”
