If you’re hitting the bars or the beach this weekend with a summer romance on your mind . . . what are the biggest TURN-OFFS for you? (Other than complaining about gas prices or having corn on the cob kernels stuck in your teeth.)
In a new poll, the biggest summer dating turn-off is: “Socks and sandals.” It’s a classic that won’t die.
Other things that made the Top 10 include: Bad tan lines like a “farmer’s tan” . . . sunburns . . . “branded t-shirts” . . . mosquito bites . . . cheesy pick-up lines . . . being downers or just unenthusiastic . . . talking too much . . . and smoking.
An Obstetrician Says Women Should Pee Like Cowboys
There seems to be a lot of people on TikTok scolding us for peeing incorrectly. We recently heard a “pelvic floor physical therapist” say you should NEVER push out your pee. That advice was for everyone, and now this advice is for WOMEN.
An obstetrician named Dr. Teresa Irwin says women should NOT sit upright while peeing . . . because one-third of the urine will remain in the bladder.
Instead, pee like a cowboy by leaning forward with your elbows above your kneecaps. And make sure your feet are flat on the floor while doing it.

We’ve finally heard from TRAVIS BARKER since his hospitalization from pancreatitis. It turns out, it all stemmed from an endoscopy . . . NOT a colonoscopy as previously reported. Travis went in for an endoscopy last Monday, but that night after dinner he started having excruciating pain. He tweeted, quote, “During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube . . .This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis. I am so very, very grateful that with intensive treatment I am currently much better.”
“Stranger Things” Season 4 continues to set records. Part One brought in 7.2 BILLION minutes of viewing time in a single week, May 30th to June 5th, making it the highest weekly total for any streaming show. No other show has ever topped 6 billion, and only “Tiger King” and “Ozark” have topped 5 billion minutes in a single week. “Stranger Things” also has the highest two-week total with 12.34 billion minutes. In related news, here a fun fact about season 4: When Eddie jams out to “Master of Puppets” in the Upside Down, that’s not his playing that you hear. Metallica bassist ROBERT TRUJILLO revealed that his son TYE assisted with the recording.
Ever since they posted the trailer for “Stranger Things 4”, many have asked who is singing lead vocals on the “Separate Ways” remix. Is it Journey’s Steve Perry, or his sound-alike replacement? It’s official. It’s Steve Perry. The entire soundtrack got released Friday. Perry had the idea for the extended remix, the last track on the album. The soundtrack also features the Beach Boys, Talking Heads, Extreme, KISS, Musical Youth, the Safaris, Metallica, James Taylor, Moby, Rick Derringer, Falco, and more, including the song with the major comeback, “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush.
LINDSAY LOHAN is a married woman. The “lucky” guy is named Bader Shammas. He works in finance. They’ve been together for between three and four years, and got engaged last November. There’s no word when they actually got hitched. In an Instagram post on Saturday . . . which was also Lindsay’s 36th birthday . . . she said, quote, “I am the luckiest woman in the world. You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. “I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything. Every woman should feel like this every day.”
If you can go from playing ELTON JOHN to Wolverine, it’s a pretty impressive move… And that’s what TARON EGERTON is trying to do. After playing Elton in “Rocketman”, Taron wants to be the Wolverine of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And he even had a meeting with the bosses at Marvel. He says, quote, “Hopefully if it does come around, they’ll give me a shot.” But as much as Taron wants it, he also knows HUGH JACKMAN will be a tough act to follow. Quote, “I’d be excited but I’d be apprehensive as well, because Hugh is so associated with the role that I’d wonder if it’d be very difficult for someone else to do it.”
If you went to see the new Minions movie you probably noticed a ton of teenagers wearing Minions costumes and you can thank TikTok for that. The TikTok meme #GentleMinions has been gaining strength throughout the long holiday weekend. The Gentleminions meme is not just limited to one country either, with videos shared by people in the UK, Australia, and Norway. Unfortunately, some cinemas have started banning those participating in the “gentleminions” saying it’s disruptive. Videos of the trend posted show large groups walking up to theaters and cheering during the film. Speaking of Minions… The Minions went bananas at the box office this weekend! Minions: The Rise of Gru made an estimated $129 million domestically for its four-day opening weekend. It broke the record for the biggest opening over the July 4th holiday weekend, overtaking Transformers: Dark of the Moon which made $115 million in 2011. Top Gun: Maverick was 2nd and Elvis fell to No. 3. Jurassic World Dominion finished at No. 4. The Black Phone rounded out the top five.
JAMES CAMERON’s “Avatar” sequels are gonna be long. Like, three hours or more. And he can already hear people complaining about it. His message to those complainers? SHUT UP. He says, quote, “I don’t want anybody whining about length when they sit and binge-watch [TV] for eight hours . . . It’s like, give me [an effing] break. I’ve watched my kids sit and do five one-hour episodes in a row.” Cameron also explained how he’s bringing SIGOURNEY WEAVER back for “Avatar 2”, even though her character died in the first one. She’s playing a totally different character. She plays Kiri, Jake and Neytiri’s adoptive teenage daughter. “Avatar: The Way of Water” hits theaters on December 16th.
Someone got a protection order against RICKY MARTIN, but he says he did nothing wrong. The details are a little fuzzy, but here’s what we know: According to a newspaper in Puerto Rico, the accuser claims he was in a relationship with Ricky for seven months, but they had a messy breakup. Since then, Ricky has supposedly been harassing the guy, and he “fears for his safety.” Ricky issued a statement on Sunday, saying the protection order is, quote, “based on completely false allegations.” But he wouldn’t say anything else about them. However, Ricky’s brother Eric said the accuser is an estranged nephew with mental health problems.
Chris Brown wants you to say something nice about him. After a top-five chart debut for his Breezy album, Brown is blaming the media for not talking about his music but always talking about his misgivings. Brown posted on Instagram, “July 8th [Breezy] deluxe album, not that [it] matters… SEEMS LIKE YALL ONLY INVEST IN THE NEGATIVE STORIES ABOUT ME. CHRIS GETS IN TROUBLE (THE WHOLE WORLD IS ON it). Chris drops album…[cricket emojis].” Breezy moved 72,000 album-equivalent units in its first week out. The album rose to number four on the Billboard 200 chart.
THE BACKSTREET BOYS brought out their “sixth member” DRAKE at a show in Toronto last Saturday. ((AUDIO)) They sang “I Want It That Way”, which was apparently a special part of Drake’s teenage years. He said, quote, “At my bar mitzvah, for the first time in my life, this girl who I was in love with came up to me while one of the greatest songs of all time played . . . She asked me if I would dance with her to the song. It was the first time I ever felt acknowledged, like I had a shot at being cool.” The Backstreet Boys posted a video of the performance. You can see Drake dance along, then he gets to sing the very last part of the song.
Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler is out of rehab and looking forward to being back on stage! In May, the band announced Tyler had entered a treatment facility after he relapsed following 10 years of sobriety. He voluntarily checked himself into rehab ahead of their Las Vegas residency dates. Now, a rep of the band says that Tyler is out of rehab, “He’s doing extremely well and looking forward to being back on stage,” they added. The musician reportedly left the facility last week and did more than the required 30 days. Over the weekend, it was also confirmed that Linda Kramer, the wife of Aerosmith’s drummer Joey, passed away on June 22. No cause of death was given. She was 55.
On the other side of things – speaking of taking the stage – Brett Michaels was back on stage with Poison on Saturday and looks like things are good to go for tonight at Busch. If you remember – last week – Poison had to a cancel a few shows because Brett had a bad reaction to some diabetes meds. But – he’s good to go!
Blink-182 has teamed up with the Food Network’s Guy Fieri for a limited-time merchandise release. They call it “blink-182 x Flavortown.” Proceeds from the special edition items go to the Guy Fieri Foundation, his non-profit outreach that uses cooking and education to “support, uplift and encourage our communities.” You can see the shirts and apron here.
Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s death at the age of 35 left the people around him without any proper security. Eighteen years after his passing, his seven children by five different women haven’t been able to get any part of his estate. Ashana Jones, one of ODB’s kids, said”I have not seen anything as of yet and neither have my half-siblings. I don’t know what is owed. But I just want what is owed. That sum can be sizable, and right now, I have received zero.” ODB’s widow, Icelene Jones, is the executor of the estate. Since Dirty didn’t have a will, the state of New York split the proceeds between Icelene and the children.
Remember back in May when Axl Rose joined Carrie Underwood in concert at Stagecoach? Well now Carrie has returned the favor. ((AUDIO)) She joined Guns N’ Roses live on stage in London on Saturday night. Here’s Axl bringing her out, and her taking the lead vocals. They were at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. She came back out at the end to do “Paradise City” too. Notice in the video how she takes on Axl’s classic moves. A “Sesame Street” blooper clip from 1994 is going viral of Julia Louis-Dreyfus back in her “Seinfeld” days swearing in front of Elmo. Cardinals rookies Juan Yepez and Conner Capel homered to pull their team up a bit but not far enough to avoid a 6-3 loss late Monday night. No time for fireworks because it ended so late. The Cardinals fell to 3-8 against NL East teams with winning records. They have 6 more games to play vs. winning NL East teams this week.

- Detained basketball star Brittney Griner has a message for the President.
- Griner’s family said a handwritten letter from Brittney was delivered to the White House on Monday. The family provided excerpts of the note to the public.
- As Griner’s trial for drug possession in Russia continues, her letter spoke of her fears and wishes.
- Griner wrote, “I’m terrified I might be here forever. On the 4th of July, our family normally honors the service of those who fought for our freedom, including my father who is a Vietnam War Veteran. It hurts thinking about how I usually celebrate this day because freedom means something completely different to me this year.”
- She continued, “I realize you are dealing with so much, but please don’t forget about me and the other American detainees. Please do all you can to bring us home.”
- Griner added, “I believe in you. I still have so much good to do with my freedom that you can help restore.”
All of Ryan Lochte’s Olympic Olympic medals are up for auction, with the proceeds going to a children’s charity.
The 37-year-old swimmer earned 12 medals over four Olympics, including six gold that he plans to keep for now. So he is selling off the bronze and silvers. He said.. “I’m not one to be all sentimental about medals,”. “My medals are just sitting in my closet collecting dust. The memories that I have is what means the most.”The medals are being sold in three lots and ends July 21. The first lot is Lochte’s first individual Olympic medal, a silver in the 200-meter individual medley from the 2004 Athens Games in which Michael Phelps won gold.
It has an estimate of $10,000 or more. The second lot is a pair of bronze medals from the 2008 Beijing Games, in which Lochte finished third in the 200 IM and 400 IM. The estimate is $12,000 or more. The third lot features three medals from the 2012 London Games. Lochte finished second in the 200 IM, second in the 4×100 freestyle relay, and third in the 200 backstroke. The estimate is $60,000 or more. Also for sale is a 14k white gold Olympic ring and a Breitling watch with black diamonds. Lochte bought both items for himself after the London Games. He’s contemplating shedding some of his six golds in the future. He wants to keep his first individual gold from the 200 back in Beijing and another for his dad, Steve. Lochte’s 12 medals are tied for second-most among swimmers, trailing only Phelps’ Olympic record of 28.
