When Joss Whedon took over directing duties on “Justice League”, he upset a lot of people.  Especially RAY FISHER, who played Cyborg.  Fisher has been very vocal about Whedon’s alleged abuses on the set. And a recent article about his allegations includes this new revelation:  Whedon was also a jerk to GAL GADOT, after she objected to some of his script changes. A so-called “source” says, quote, “Joss was bragging that he’s had it out with Gal.  He told her he’s the writer and she’s going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie.” Supposedly, Gal and “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins took their beef all the way to the head of Warner Brothers.  Reached for comment, Gal would only say, quote, “I had my issues with [Whedon] and Warner Brothers . . . handled it in a timely manner.”

There’s a Hollywood rumor that actors Russell Crowe and Chris Hemsworth are co-producing a sequel to the 2000 box office smash, Gladiator. The plot would have Hemsworth, play the son of the late Maximus, made famous in the original film by Crowe. Apparently Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky had the idea. The first film earned over $400 million worldwide and earned 11 Oscar nominations. Hemsworth and Crowe are together in the upcoming Marvel sequel Thor: Love and Thunder.

Sylvester Stallone will not appear in the upcoming Creed III.

Stallone in 2015’s Creed got him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor. That film was followed by Creed II, in 2018. Both Creed films were box office and critical successes. Creed III, directed by star Jordan in his directorial debut, is scheduled to be released on Nov. 23, 2022. Stallone said his recut of Rocky IV is complete.  It was never done to his satisfaction, so he was grateful to go back in order to deliver his vision. The 1985 picture was a massive success and introduced audiences to Dolph Lundgren, who played the towering Ivan Drago, the Soviets’ prize boxer. The film marked Carl Weathers’ final physical appearance in the series

HBO Max has a 10-episode series order for Minx, a half-hour comedy set in L.A. in the 1970s about a young feminist who joins forces with a low-rent publisher to create the first erotic magazine for women. Ophelia Lovibond (Elementary) and Jake Johnson (New Girl) star as the feminist and publisher.  HBO Max that also includes The Flight Attendant, Generation, Gossip Girl, Head of the Class, Made for Love, the new Sex and the City, Station 11, Pretty Little Liars and a slate of DC Comics series including Greg Berlanti’s Green Lantern, J.J. Abrams’ Justice League Dark and many more.

An animated Peeps movie is in development . . . and it’s described as a cross between “Trolls” and “Smurfs”.  It’ll be about “a ragtag group of Peeps characters who set out on a cross-country journey in order to attend ‘Peepsfest,’ an annual brand celebration in Pennsylvania.” Back in 2014, someone was working on “Peeps: The Movie, but for whatever reason, it never came to be. That one was different.  It was about a Peep being misplaced from a diorama contest . . . and having to make its way through the various fantasy lands to get back. There’s no timetable for the new movie yet.

Remember that campaign to make LEVAR BURTON from “Reading Rainbow” the next permanent host of “Jeopardy!”?  Well, it’s picking up steam. Back in November, some fans started an online petition to shine the light on him.  It had 50,000 signatures back then, and LeVar made it clear that he’d be down to do it. Well, it’s going viral again . . . and now it’s surpassed 150,000 signatures. LeVar shared another link to the petition on social media, and said, quote, “[I’m] leaving this here in the event the powers that be are listening . . . How would he do as a host?  Here’s a clip of LeVar hosting a Star Trek trivia game between Sir Patrick Stewart and Pete Buttigieg on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.)

Well it’s an official/unofficial holiday here in St. Louis as the Cardinals have the home opener this afternoon.  The Cardinals take on the Brewers at 3:15PM and the festivities for opening day start around 1:00PM.  Last night the Cards ended their first road trip of the year with a 7-0 win against the Marlins.  Yadier Molina got to say YADIOS with his first homer of the year and Dylan Carlson hit his third which just so happen to be a grand slama.  Jack Flaherty got the win.  Today, Adam Wainwright gets the start.

The St. Louis Blues ended their losing streak last night as they took on the Golden Knights looking to rebound back from their 6-1 loss on Monday.  Vladimir Tarasenko scored just 50 seconds into the game and Sammy Blais followed 7 minutes later.  The game was 2-0 until Jake Walman scored making it 3-0.  Vegas scored late in the game but it was too little, too late.  Up next for the Blues is a game against the Wild at Enterprise Center tomorrow night.  Puck drop is scheduled for 7PM.

Tiger Woods took to social media on Wednesday afternoon and spoke out about the crash, thanking the first responders who treated him and all the fans for their support. “ I am so grateful to both the good Samaritans who came to assist me and called 911. I am also thankful to the deputies and Firefighter/Paramedics for helping me so expertly at the scene and getting me to safely to the hospital. I will continue to focus on my recovery and family, and thank everyone for the overwhelming support and encouragement I received throughout this very difficult time.” According cops the official cause of the crash was speed and inability to navigate the curvy road. Tiger Woods was doing 87 MPH when he crashed into a tree at the time of his accident.

Former Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy thinks Charles Oakley’s jersey should be hanging in the rafters at Madison Square Garden. But Oakley wants no part of it.  Oakley has said in the past that he doesn’t want his jersey to be retired at MSG and has declined the Knicks’ offer previously. He said QUOTE: “They came to me and said they were going to retire my jersey, do this and do that…And I’m like, ‘Nah, you can’t buy me that easy. If you retire the jersey, that benefits you, that ain’t benefitting me.'” Oakley says he prefers to have his jersey hanging outside MSG so all of New York can see it.

Former Giants and Florida State wide receiver Travis Rudolph was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder with a firearm.  Palm Beach deputies showed up to a double shooting early Wednesday morning. When they arrived, they learned one male had been transported to the hospital while another was found dead near the area. After deputies identified Rudolph as a suspect, he was located, arrested and is being held without bond. Rudolph, 25, played college football at Florida State. After joining the Seminoles in 2014, Rudolph became the team’s leading receiver in 2015 and 2016.  After his junior season, he declared for the 2017 NFL draft but wasn’t selected. He signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent. Rudolph caught eight passes for 101 yards in his seven games with the team. He also had short stints with the Dolphins and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL.

Former Northeastern track and field coach Steve Waithe was arrested and charged on Wednesday for an alleged nude photo scheme involving female athletes. Waithe is formally being charged with one count of cyberstalking and one count of wire fraud. Waithe is accused of coming up with a scheme to “dupe female Northeastern University track and field athletes into sending him nude or semi-nude photos.” Waithe allegedly contacted athletes under the belief that they were conducting an athlete research or body development study, requesting photos with the athletes in a “uniform or bathing suit to show as much skin as possible.” Waithe also allegedly requested to use female athletes’ cellphones on multiple occasions, claiming he was filming their practices and meets. But rather than film, Waithe is accused of scrolling through photos and other documents on the athletes’ phones. Waithe used multiple different names as he continued the scheme and received “over 300 related nude and semi-nude images.”  When some students started to figure things out, Waithe contacted victims with claims that he found compromising photos of them online. Waithe offered to help get the photos removed from the internet, though he then requested more naked photos he could use for “reverse image searches.”
