Rob Zombie has teamed up with Waxwork Records for a line of curated classic horror movie soundtracks under the name Rob Zombie Presents. The first soundtrack to be released is White Zombie, the 1932 film that’s considered the first zombie movie and gave Rob’s former band its name. It includes liner notes by Zombie.
Fans are accusing Tom DeLonge of using Autotune during Blink-182’s set at Coachella, because his voice sounded robotic. No word yet from the band.
The Writers Guild of America voted to strike after they didn’t reach a deal regarding compensation from streaming. The WGA says the studios have, quote, “used the transition to streaming to cut writer pay and separate writing from production, worsening working conditions for series writers at all levels.” The studios say they offered a “generous increase” in compensation . . . but the writers didn’t agree, and now a ton of shows went dark: affecting a lot of shows. The network late-night shows have all gone dark . . . along with “The Daily Show” and HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” and “Real Time with Bill Maher”. SNL with Pete Davidson that was scheduled for this coming weekend is OFF, as well. Writing on the upcoming seasons of “Cobra Kai” and “Yellowjackets” has also been halted. One of Jimmy Fallon’s employees Tweeted that he doesn’t appear to be supporting his staff during the writers’ strike. Meanwhile, Jay Leno brought donuts to striking writers, and Rob Lowe and Natasha Lyonne were both spotted on a picket line at Paramount.
Kevin Costner’s wife of 18 years has filed for divorce. There’s no word on why, except “irreconcilable differences”. They share three children and are asking for joint custody.
Eric Churchhas introduced his own whiskey brand. It’s called “Whiskey JYPSI” . . . and bottles start at $199.99 apiece.

King Charles III wore a simple pinstripe suit and royal fans were quick to point out that the king’s hands were nowhere to be seen. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famewill announce who has been elected for induction this year tomorrow, Wednesday, at 7am. George Michael won the Fan Vote followed by Cyndi Lauper, Warren Zevon, Iron Maiden and Soundgarden. Those five acts comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to determine the 2023 inductees The 2023 induction ceremony will be held in the fall with the date and location also being part of tomorrow’s announcement.
