Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime appearance sparked interest in her music. Immediately after her 13-minute set, RiRi’s Apple Music streams shot up 331 percent. Her smash “Umbrella” reached number one in 105 countries. Rihanna also saw her biggest day on Shazam. She gained more concurrent listens than any of the performers from last year’s show (Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and 50 Cent).

Snoop Dogg is bringing Death Row to the next frontier.  He released the Death Row Records catalog on TikTok. Snoop purchased the collection of music last year and pulled it from streaming services. TikTok will only have the catalog exclusively for the next week. In a statement, Snoop said the music “will be back on streaming services real soon.”

Who’s ready for a fourth Spidey adventure?! Marvel President Kevin Feige has made it official. Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker! During an in-depth interview about the future of the MCU, Feige confirmed that a fourth Spider-Man film is in the very early stages of development. “All I will say is that we have the story,” Feige told EW. “We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.” Marvel had one of its biggest hits ever with Tom Holland’s third-outing, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which became the first pandemic release to gross over $1 billion worldwide.

Chad Kroeger welcomes Nickelback’s haters, saying that hate is what has kept the band relevant all these years. He said “All the detractors, all the haters, all the keyboard heroes, they have no idea how much they keep us in the press loop. It’s hilarious.” Kroeger continued “Those people that would love to see us go away, if they really wanted to see us go away, they would just shut up. Because all those bands that came out with us at the same time are all gone, because nobody said anything about them. They all just sort of disappeared. But we’ve really kind of spun this whole negative thing into a positive thing. And here we are.” Nickelback will tour the US this fall with country star Brantley Gilbert.

Keanu Reeves has a healthy mistrust of technology . . . particularly in the ways it can be used to manipulate his image.  In fact, he’s been putting a clause in his contracts for years that prevents anyone from doing that without his permission. He says, quote, “I [once] had a performance changed.  They added a tear to my face, and I was just like, ‘Huh?!’  It was like, ‘I don’t even have to be here.'” He adds, quote, “What’s frustrating about that is you lose your agency.  When you give a performance in a film, you know you’re going to be edited, but you’re participating in that. “If you go into deepfake land, it has none of your points of view.” (Wired)

Jimmy Kimmel got “Top Gun: Maverick” stars Jon Hamm and Charles Parnell to do a spoof promo for the upcoming Oscars.  Kimmel will host.  Here’s an edited version of the sketch where Billy Crystal makes a cameo. Of Note:  The original video is almost 4 minutes long

Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde’s former nanny — who allegedly blabbed to the media about them — is now taking the ex-couple to court … claiming they drove her to her wit’s end and then some. The woman’s name is Ericka Genaro, and she just filed suit against both actors — for whom she previously worked between 2018 and 2021. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Genaro makes even more allegations about the dynamic during this rocky time in the partnership. According to her … Olivia abandoned the household, by and large, in 2020 — around the time she reportedly started her romance with Harry Styles — and it was because of this that Genaro claims a lot of pressure was put on her to fill in on multiple fronts. Beyond just being the primary live-in nanny caring for OW and JS’s two kids … Genaro claims she also started to become a shoulder for Jason to lean on — staying after hours for him to vent and talk about the delicate situation. While Genaro says she gave Jason her ear, she also says this lopped on an incredible amount of stress and anxiety that she claims became debilitating — on top of this, she also says her work duties started to be in way more demand, allegedly working round-the-clock. Genaro says Olivia’s absence from the home forced her to fill in on mom duties Olivia would normally undertake — and she even says she confronted Olivia about this in person while she was filming “Don’t Worry Darling” — claiming Olivia came off as sympathetic and understanding. However, Genaro says she flipped on a dime … because she says Jason confronted her about this convo she allegedly had with Olivia, and that increased the tension in the household — as Genaro says she felt she had to pick sides. Genaro says this anxiety became unbearable and that she was advised by medical professionals that she had to stop working … essentially, she was given doctor’s orders to take a 3-day break from the job. But Genaro claims Jason wasn’t receptive of this … and allegedly fired her on the spot when she made this known to him. Genaro claims she was wrongfully terminated, and alleges that Jason and Olivia violated several employment laws in California — now asking for major damages under FEHA.

If Jeff were here he’d start this story like this: Guess who is rumored to be riding the hobby horse with Eric Andre? Eric André posted photos of him and rumored girlfriend Emily Ratajkowski hanging out  in the buff on Instagram for Valentine’s Day.  “💘 💘💘💘💘Happy Valentine’s Day 💘💘💘💘💘,” the comedian, 39, wrote Tuesday, sharing risqué pics of himself lying naked on a couch with only a heart emoji and Cupid’s arrow concealing his penis. Meanwhile, Ratajkowski, 31, can be seen in the background posing as she takes a mirror selfie — also in the nude. The model’s buttocks are the only part of her body that can be seen as her arm is strategically placed over her chest.

Ryan McKenna is learning life comes at you fast … 5 years ago he was cheesing with Justin Timberlake in a viral Super Bowl moment at age 13, and on the eve of this year’s big game cops say he was drunk and fighting with friends in a California Pizza Kitchen. Ryan, famous for snapping a selfie with Justin on live TV in front of 113.7 million viewers during the Super Bowl 52 halftime show, had another eventful Super Bowl weekend … only this time, we’ve learned he ended up in jail on a felony charge. According to the arrest report, obtained by TMZ, cops were called to a shopping center in Naples, FL on Saturday night for a report of a man who was drunk and hitting his friend inside a CPK. When police arrived, officers say a 15-year-old boy told them he was friends with Ryan but they had gotten into an argument that escalated to the point where 18-year-old Ryan stood up and aggressively pushed their table and started yelling obscenities at the boy’s girlfriend. Cops say they were talking to the 15-year-old when Ryan interrupted and started arguing with the boy. Police say Ryan was asked to step away but he kept arguing with the boy until cops got Ryan to calm down, step away and wait. Police say shopping center security asked to have Ryan escorted off the property … and while explaining the process to Ryan, cops say his behavior turned aggressive … waving his arms, yelling and trying to approach the 15-year-old boy. Cops say they put their hands on Ryan’s chest to stop him from confronting the kid, but Ryan continued yelling and grabbed the officers’ hands and removed them from his chest. Police say that’s when they tried to place Ryan in handcuffs and detain him … officers claim he resisted, so they took him to the ground, where they say he continued resisting until finally putting his hands behind his back and getting cuffed. Cops say Ryan was hauled off to Naples Jail Center and booked for felony battery on a law enforcement officer and two misdemeanors — resisting arrest and obstruction of an officer.

StudyFinds visited 10 expert websites to put together this list of the best rock bands of all time according to rock enthusiasts.

1. The Beatles

Would anyone else take the number one spot? The Beatles are more than just a rock band. They are history itself. Master songwriters, performers, and icons. They are the epitome of music. Plus, all of their top songs are still played today.

Each member of the Beatles was special, “With voices like John Lennon and Paul McCartney, The Beatles captured the heart of many, but wouldn’t have been able to do so had it not been for the presence of the equally-renowned George Harrison and Ringo Starr, two of the best instrumentalists who knew exactly what to do to bring out the best in the voices of Lennon and McCartney,” notes Guitar Junky.

Really Simple Guitar followed with this sentiment, “These four guys and the people in their orbits have been associated with more legendary stories than number-one records. But, the fact that 8 of their 20 number 1 hits came after they stopped touring is impressive.”

They are a group that spurned more music from others, “The Beatles are globally recognized and are credited with inspiring many famous musicians to pursue music. The most influential band of all time,” says Music Grotto.

2. The Rolling Stones

If the world forgot about the Beatles, The Rolling Stones would easily slide into the number one spot. A rock band from England that never let age, or anything else, define them.

Even now, they’re still going, “The fact that they remain one of the highest grossing concerts draws in existence, even with their members now well past the age of collecting social security checks, is a testament to more than just will power,” says Music Influence.

“The Rolling Stones were hailed as the greatest rock and roll band in the world in the 1970s, a title they have battled other famous bands to keep. Having sold over 200 million records worldwide, the band is one of the best-selling bands of all time,” mentions Hello Music Theor

“Their countercultural symbolism, raunchy lyrics and killer musicianship have made them one of the most enduring acts ever,” adds Parade

3. Queen

The British rock group from London led by the enigmatic Freddie Mercury takes the number three spot on this list. These stadium jams will never be forgotten, and they will rock you.

Freddie was a legend at the front of the group, “Freddie Mercury is probably the best singer of all time. His vocals are the perfect blend of operatic and rocking, and when it comes to his command of the stage and the crowd, well, nobody did it better,” says Guitar Lobby.

There wasn’t a genre they wouldn’t touch as Dig writes, “Though broadly a classic rock band, Queen made forays into disco, funk, and classic pop without ever sacrificing their identity, and they remained a phenomenal live act until they effectively ceased touring in 1986.”

Simply, “Queen reinvented music. There is no other way to put it,” adds The Top Tens.

4. Led Zeppelin

Plant, Page, Jones, and Bonham – names almost as famous as the four Beatles – formed the English rock group Led Zeppelin in 1968 and made their mark on music forever.  As Today puts it, “Over a 10-year, nine-album career from 1969-79, Led Zeppelin was the most popular rock group in the world, ultimately selling more than 50 million records in the U.S. alone.” They emphasized the larger-than-life persona of rock stars, “No band ever has had such a fanatical following, not even The Beatles. There was so much mystique, so many myths and anecdotes surrounding the band that they almost seemed like they were from another planet,” says Guitar LobbyDig writes, “when it comes to rock on the most grandiose scale, no band has ever flown quite as high as Led Zeppelin.”

  1. Pink Floyd

Our all-English rock band list comes to a close with the kings of psychedelic rock music. Hello Music Theory says, “With their music, they became deeply inspirational to other rising artists. The band drew in an audience from the psychedelic music scene, composing music for elaborately planned live performances.”They were trendsetters of their genre, “One of the pioneers and most influential bands on ambient music, also commonly known as ‘psychedelic’ music, Pink Floyd remains as one of the greatest rock bands the 20th century has given us,” adds Guitar Junky.“Known for their lengthy compositions, Pink Floyd’s songbook is unusual, trippy, and often philosophical. The band’s most famous album ‘The Wall’ depicts images of a woebegone rock star; the album is purported to be autobiographical,” writes Music Grotto.
