A historic bridge in the Netherlands is being temporarily dismantled so that JEFF BEZOS can drive his massive yacht through it. The Koningshaven Bridge in Rotterdam was originally built in 1927.  It was decommissioned in 1994, and declared a national monument.  It underwent a major restoration in 2017, after which the city said it would remain intact going forward. But that was before Jeff decided to build the LARGEST SAILING YACHT in the world in a nearby city.  The 417-foot-long beast is too tall to clear the bridge.  It’s expected to be finished this summer. And when it’s ready to sail, Bezos and the company that’s building it will share the cost of dismantling the bridge so it can pass through . . . then reassembling it. There’s no word how much that’ll cost, but the price tag on the boat itself is said to be more than $500 million (LINK)

CNN boss JEFF ZUCKER resigned yesterday because he was having a relationship with a colleague and didn’t disclose it.  He was asked to step down by Warner Media. The colleague in question is Allison Gollust, CNN’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer.  She will remain with the company. They’ve been close for DECADES, and their “friendship” had been the source of rumors.  But both of them claim it “evolved” into a romantic relationship recently.  Gollust claims it happened during COVID. They both acknowledged that they were wrong to have not disclosed this so-called evolution when it happened.  Zucker was married from 1996 to 2019. Interestingly, they were outed during CNN’s investigation into CHRIS CUOMO’s shenanigans.

KEN JEONG and ROBIN THICKE walked out while filming the new season of “The Masked Singer” when former New York City mayor and DONALD TRUMP attorney RUDY GIULIANI was unmasked. They came back. The last time the show received criticism for their choice of “celebrity” was in 2020 with SARAH PALIN. “The Masked Singer” premieres on March 9th (LINK)

CBS is doing a show like “Survivor”, but with CELEBRITIES.  It’s called “Beyond the Edge”, and it debuts March 16th. Unlike “Survivor”, nobody gets voted out.  But there IS a bell they can ring if things get too rough and they want to quit. The contestants are competing to earn money for CHARITY.  At the end, the two celebrities who’ve earned the most go head-to-head for one last prize . . . for their cause, of course. The show was filmed in the jungles of Panama over two weeks, which is a lot shorter than “Survivor”.  It’s hosted by MAURO RANALLO, who’s best known for calling MMA and boxing matches. The celebrities are: Jodie Sweetin from “Full House” and “Fuller House” NFL legends Ray Lewis and Mike Singletary NBA star Metta World Peace Supermodel Paulina Porizkova Country artists Lauren Alaina and Craig Morgan “Bachelor” star Colton Underwood And Eboni K. He suffered a broken wrist and broken ribs and a concussion. At 50, the father of three might be retiring. “My doctor said I can’t take another shot to the head, I’ve had so many concussions. I put my family through enough, quite honestly. I don’t think I have anything else to prove,” His son Rocko may want to get in the franchise but Johnny doesn’t want that to happen. “I made it very clear to him he won’t be going into the family business.” (LINK)

You can now take a college course about TAYLOR SWIFT.  It’s called “Why Get Over Your Ex When You Can Spend the Rest of Your Life Getting Even?”  I’m kidding.  I don’t actually know what it’s called. But it’s being offered at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute.  Unfortunately, there’s a long waitlist for it The course description says, quote, “This course proposes to deconstruct both the appeal and aversions to Taylor Swift through close readings of her music and public discourse as it relates to her own growth as an artist and a celebrity. “Through readings, lectures and more, the class delves into analyses of the culture and politics of teen girlhood in pop music, fandom, media studies, whiteness and power as it relates to her image and the images of those who have both preceded and succeeded her.” The first class launched January 26th and runs through March 9th.  Taylor has been invited to speak, but there’s no word if that’s happening (LINK)

The Washington Commanders are already reaping the financial benefits of their rebrand. Not only are the Commanders the top-selling team at the moment on Fanatics, which is the NFL’s official online merchandise partner, but they are also dominating the list of hottest individual items. This is a point some argued before Washington initially ditched its old nickname and went by the temporary “Washington Football Team” moniker. The Cleveland Guardians enjoyed a bump to their sales this past fall after they rolled out their rebrand.

Jim Harbaugh called Michigan to inform the school that, despite interviewing with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, he will be returning to the school for the 2022 season. Michigan was apparently “elated” to get Harbaugh’s decision. Harbaugh told the athletic director that this would not be a recurring issue and that he would be staying at Michigan as long as the school wants him. Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell has emerged as the favorite to become the head coach in Minnesota.

Former Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson said that the team had a “four-year plan” that incentivized losing during the first two years which led to his 1-31 record during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Jackson said that bonus money was available if certain measurables were met such as aggregate rankings, being the youngest team and having so many draft picks. Jackson said he told Browns owner Jimmy Haslam that he wasn’t interested in bonus money and instead wanted that money used to improve the team. A spokesperson for the Browns called the charge “completely fabricated” and said that “any accusation that any member of our organization was incentivized to deliberately lose games is categorically false.”

The United States men’s national soccer team bounced back from Sunday’s disappointing defeat to Canada to stroll to a comfortable 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Honduras on Wednesday night in Minnesota. Goals from Weston McKennie, Walker Zimmerman and second-half substitute Christian Pulisic lifted the U.S. to a second win of this international break.  At kickoff in Minnesota it was 3 degrees.  THREE.  Some say that Honduras even contemplated not returning for the 2nd half.  Honduras goalkeeper Buba Lopez had to be removed from the game at halftime due to hypothermia.  Some reports say that forward Romell Quioto also left the game due to hypothermia.
