Whatever bump in the road, they decided that they were going to try and work things through.” There’s still no word what caused the rift, but the “New York Post” claims it was the distance between them for the last few weeks, after they’d previously spent so much time together during the pandemic.
RYAN REYNOLDS has never been too proud to make fun of “Green Lantern”. The thing is that he’s never actually seen it. Until now. Ryan watched it for the first time yesterday, and live-Tweeted the action. He wore his Green Lantern ring and even made a special cocktail called Lantern’s Light with his Aviation Gin. His final verdict: It’s not so bad after all. He said, quote, “Maybe it’s the Aviation Gin talking, but ‘Green Lantern’ was nothing to fear! “Hundreds of incredible crew and cast members did amazing work, and while it’s not perfect, it ain’t a tragedy. Next time I won’t wait a decade to watch.”

Jim from “The Office” looks like an everyday working guy, so maybe that’s why someone thought he’d be a PERFECT model for his unemployment scheme. A guy in Michigan reportedly photoshopped a photo of JOHN KRASINSKI on a driver’s license in an effort to steal unemployment benefits. It didn’t work. The face swap was quickly flagged, and the guy’s claim was denied.
During a Reddit AMA, writer Brent Forrester was asked about the rumors of “King of the Hill” coming back, and this is what he said. “I am sure Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will murder me for sharing this but… HELL YES. Bad news to report this morning: KANYE WEST could probably afford to run for president EVERY YEAR if he wanted to. According to “People” magazine, he’s worth $6.6 BILLION. At least half of that comes from his Yeezy apparel company, which is valued between $3.2 billion and $4.7 billion. Will KIM KARDASHIAN, who is worth a reported $780 million dollars, syphon away any of that money in the divorce? The did have a prenup . . . and one report claimed that Kim would get $1 million for every year of the marriage. They were married in 2014, so that would be about $6 million. There’s no word on other aspects of the agreement, but it sounds like Kim and Kanye pretty much thought of everything, so their split should be pretty easy and painless.

If you grew up in the ’80s or ’90s, or had kids that age, you might have fond memories of Nickelodeon TV. MentalFloss.com has a list of 25 “fun facts” about that glorious time, and there’s a decent chance you haven’t heard most of them. Here are 10 highlights:
- Nickelodeon’s green slime went through a variety of recipes . . . a few key ingredients include Cream of Wheat, green food coloring, Johnson’s baby shampoo, vegetable oil, and occasionally cottage cheese.
- The creators of the movie “Ghostbusters”tried to sue for stealing the idea of green slime. They dropped the lawsuit when the host of Nickelodeon’s “You Can’t Do That on Television” pointed out that he’d been sliming kids since 1979, so “Ghostbusters” could’ve stolen the idea from HIM.
- Because the hot lights on the set of “Double Dare”would actually COOK the Cream of Wheat, “Double Dare” made its slime with applesauce.
- All that green slime did NOT thrill “Double Dare”host Marc Summers. He has OCD, and sometimes struggled with all the mess on the job.
- Casio once offered Nickelodeon $1 million to put its logo on the “Double Dare”clock. Nickelodeon declined.
- On “Pete & Pete”, Little Pete’s signature red hunting cap was an homage to “The Catcher in the Rye’s”Holden Caulfield.
- There was almost a “Clarissa Explains It All”album. The group was called Clarissa and the Straightjackets. The first single was “This Is What Na-Na Means
- Alex Mack of “The Secret World of Alex Mack”was first written as a male character.
- You probably have Geraldine Laybourneto thank for your favorite Nick show. She ran Nickelodeon from 1980 to 1996, turning the lowest-rated cable network into #1. She left for a job at . . . Disney. She later co-founded Oxygen Media, and has been inducted into the Television Hall of Fame.
10. Laybourne was NOT a fan of “The Ren & Stimpy Show”, and didn’t think it should’ve been on Nickelodeon. The crazy mind behind the show, John Kricfalusi, was fired during the second season due to “creative differences” and ongoing work disputes. Nickelodeon produced the last three seasons without him.

Earlier this week, a former masseuse sued Houston Texans quarterback DESHAUN WATSON, claiming that he, quote, “went too far” and sexually assaulted her during a session. Watson strongly denied it, saying, quote, “I have never treated any woman with anything other than the utmost respect . . .”The plaintiff’s lawyer claims that this isn’t about money, but before filing suit he made a baseless six-figure settlement demand, which I quickly rejected.” But after the news broke, three other women have come forward and are filing similar lawsuits. The details of each weren’t released, but at least two of the women were working as masseuses and claim Watson stripped naked and “aggressively pursued sex acts,” by directing the women to take care of his groin area.
In both of those cases, he intentionally touched their hands with his genitals. Both women were “very uncomfortable” with that, and immediately ended the sessions.
Former NBA center Shawn Bradley suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed. On Jan. 20, Bradley was struck from behind by an automobile while riding his bicycle a block from his home in Utah. He underwent neck fusion surgery and has spent the past eight weeks hospitalized and undergoing rehabilitation. Bradley, 48, was the No. 2 pick in the 1993 draft, selected by the Philadelphia 76ers after spending two years on a Mormon mission following his freshman year at BYU. He’s 7-foot-6 and averaged 8.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks during his 12-season NBA career, spending the last 8½ years of that time with the Mavericks.
The Heat are trading Meyers Leonard one week after he used an antisemitic slur while streaming himself playing Call of Duty on Twitch. The Thunder will send Trevor Ariza to Miami in exchange for Leonard and a 2027 second-round pick. The trade comes six days after the NBA fined Leonard $50,000 and suspended him from all team facilities and team activities for one week following his use of the slur. Miami released a statement last Tuesday, saying the club “condemns the use of any form of hate speech.” The Heat added that Leonard would be away from the team indefinitely and the franchise would cooperate with the NBA while it conducted an investigation.
As vaccines ramp up across the country and within the NBA in an effort to counter the COVID-19 pandemic, the league has reportedly agreed to ease certain restrictions. The NBA and the players association decided they will relax restrictions for those in the league who have been fully vaccinated. Those who meet the criteria can have indoor visitors at home and on the road without extensive testing, can dine outdoors at restaurants and will not have to quarantine following exposure. Teams that are fully vaccinated will have more opportunities to leave their hotels on the road, dine indoors and be inside practice facilities without wearing masks.
Just over a week after the we read that Vanessa Bryant would be allowed to obtain the names of the four sheriff’s deputies who allegedly shared “unauthorized” photos of the helicopter crash site where Kobe Bryant, his daughter and seven others died, she revealed the names of the officers in an Instagram post on Wednesday evening. In a series of posts, Bryant shared images of lawsuit documents she filed in which the officers’ names were originally redacted. Los Angeles County, the sheriff’s department, the county fire department and the four deputies in question are all named defendants. The lawsuit states that deputies used their personal cell phones to take unauthorized and gratuitous photos of the victims upon arriving at the scene. The suit says that one deputy took between 25 and 100 pictures, “many of which had no conceivable investigatory purpose and were focused directly on the victims’ remains.” The photos were shared throughout the sheriff’s department, and at least 10 employees had obtained them within 48 hours. The suit also states that sheriff’s department personnel shared photos to colleagues in settings that in no way related to the investigation of the crash.
