52 year old Mark Morales or Prince Markie Dee of The Fat Boys died yesterday. No cause of death so far. He cofounded what would be The Fat Boys. In 1984 they are credited as the first time beatboxing was featured on a hip hop record. That was kind of the line between old school and new school hip hop. In 1985 they were in the move Krush Groove which was a not true story of the founding of Def Jam Records. He wrote May J Blige’s Real Love. He has been a DJ on LL Cool J’s Rock the Bells radio for a bit now. They announced his death. You may know The Fat Boys/Beach Boys collaboration on Wipeout Human Beatbox
BTW, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Stevie Nicks did it recently. Now The Beach Boys have sold their rights. The buyer is Iconic Artists Group. They now have controlling interest in the band’s intellectual property, including sound recordings, the brand, select musical compositions and memorabilia. The members and their heirs will retain interest in their assets.
Billie Eilish got court-ordered protection from a man she claims is harassing her and is potentially dangerous. Mr Sunshine’s name is John Hearle, who she claims has been harassing and threatening her outside her house in Los Angeles. She says the guy has been camped out at a school across the street since the summer, and he’s been bombarding her with threatening and disturbing letters. Billie says she got a note from the guy saying … “You can’t get what you want, unless what you want is to die for me … You will know that soon the water will rise, and you might very well die … You will die.” She says he watches her go in and out of the house. He has done the classy throat slitting move as she watched too.

CAMERON DIAZ hasn’t done a movie since “Annie” in 2014, and you probably shouldn’t expect her acting hiatus to end any time soon. She’s busy working on her organic wine business, and raising her 1-year-old daughter. She said, quote, “Will I ever make a movie again? I’m not looking to, but will I? I don’t know. I have no idea . . . Never say never . . . but I couldn’t imagine [having] to be on a movie set that takes 14 hours, 16 hours of my day away from my child.”

Remember last month when a Tennessee State Representative introduced a bill to put a statue of DOLLY PARTON on the Capitol grounds? Well, she released a statement yesterday asking them to remove that bill because there are far more important things going on right now. Here’s what she wrote: Quote, “I want to thank the Tennessee legislature for their consideration of a bill to erect a statue of me on the Capitol grounds. I’m honored and humbled, but I’ve asked the leaders of the legislature to remove the bill from any and all consideration. “Given all that is going on in the world, I don’t think putting me on a pedestal is appropriate at this time. “I hope that somewhere down the road several years from now, or perhaps after I’m gone if you still feel I deserve it, then I’m certain I will stand proud on our great State Capitol as a grateful Tennessean.”

They got hitched in the first “Sex and the City” movie, and while they had marital problems in the sequel, they stayed together. It’s not clear if that means Carrie will be single again in the revival.
The Blues really seem to be liking playing MORE than just 3 periods of hockey. Because, yet again, last nights game went into overtime. Mike Hoffman scored for the Blues in the first and that was answered by 2 goals from the Sharks in the second. And it wasn’t until the 3rd with just 40 seconds to go when Brayden Schenn tied things up. Then in the overtime period, David Perron scored to give the Blues the win. Up next, another game against San Jose. Pick drop tomorrow night is at 6PM.
The Eagles are trading quarterback Carson Wentz to the Colts for a 2021 third-round pick and a conditional 2022 second-round pick. Indianapolis’ 2022 second-round pick will become a first-rounder if Wentz plays 75% of the Colts’ snaps in 2021. The pick could also become a first-rounder if Wentz plays 70% of the snaps and Indianapolis makes the playoffs. Wentz spent the last five years in Philadelphia after being selected by the Eagles as the No. 2 pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
The NFL is apparently in the process of developing different helmets for each position . . . and the first one is undergoing testing now. It was built specifically for offensive and defensive linemen, and provides additional support in the front, where they tend to collide the most. It looks a LITTLE different . . . but they’re not re-inventing the wheel.
The company that made it says the extra support in the front area of the helmet adds about six ounces of weight. But other than that, it’s the same as the helmets used by all NFL players.

The 2021 All-Star Game in Atlanta will feature a far different atmosphere than last year’s contest, but the contest will still sport the same format as 2020. The NBA announced on Thursday that the Elam Ending will be used to determine the winning team, with a final target score set during an untimed fourth quarter. The rosters for the 2021 All-Star Game will also follow the 2020 format. There will be two captains who select each team, with the captains determined by who receives the most All-Star votes in each conference. Lakers forward LeBron James and Nets forward Kevin Durant are currently slated to be the team captains. The players joining them in the frontcourt from both conferences went as expected, with Durant being joined by Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and 76ers center Joel Embiid in the starting pool for the East, while James was joined by Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard and Nuggets center Nikola Jokic in the West. The reserve pool will then be selected by players and coaches at a later date. The All-Star player draft featuring James and Durant has not been scheduled. The All-Star Game will be held at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Sunday, March 7. The annual skills challenge, three-point contest and dunk contest are also slated to be held on March 7.
LeBron James joined the 35,000-point club during the first half of Thursday’s game against the Nets. He becomes the third player in NBA history to accomplish that feat, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone. At 36 years and 50 days, James is the youngest of the three to reach the milestone. Abdul-Jabbar was 38 when he scored his 35,000th point, while Malone was 39. Abdul-Jabbar is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. Malone ranks second. James is already the league’s career leader in playoff scoring, with 7,491 points. Michael Jordan is second at 5,987.
