Hiding in plain sight… For decades, art historians were convinced that a painting of the birth of Jesus from the 1600s was created by an apprentice of the famous painter Rembrandt. The painting — called The Adoration of the Kings — was originally valued at $15,000. That all changed when experts, using electronic imaging, figured out that The Adoration of the Kings was painted by Rembrandt himself. It’s now believed this thing is worth about $18 million.
