Pearl Jam’s next album has been completed. Drummer Matt Cameron, who also handles drums for Soundgarden, told ‘The Vinyl Guide’ “We did make a record with Andrew Watt”, adding, “It’s in the can, mastered, mixed, ready to go.” And while he hopes the album comes out next year, Cameron said, “The powers that be are trying to figure out when that’s going to come out and touring and all that stuff” – LINK

The Rolling Stones have released a video for “Bite My Head Off” from their new album, Hackney Diamonds. The black and white clip was captured during their album release show on October 19th at the Racket club in New York, but the audio is the album version with Paul McCartney on bass and Mick Jagger’s F-bombs left in. While McCartney wasn’t at that show, the video contains stills and clips of him playing the song with them in the studio. McCartney came to play on the album through producer Andrew Watt, who was working with both acts at the time.

The Repertory Theater of St. Louis announced that it had a $2.5 million projected budget shortfall that it would need to meet by the end of the year in order to produce the second half of its season. And according the Riverfront Times, now John Goodman is dropping in to try and save the theater. He’s coming to town for Rally for The Rep: A Holiday Benefit Experience on Sunday, December 17, where he’ll be on stage sharing “insights, anecdotes, and a special holiday treat.” So if you want to support this local theater, get tickets to this event: The Lovettes, a Chicago-based girl trio inspired by similar groups of the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s, will join Goodman and a few other guests for the rally.
