Elon Musk is just clowning us at this point, right?  Because he’s now selling a fragrance called BURNT HAIR for $100 a bottle.  He calls it, quote, “the finest fragrance on Earth!” According to the official Burnt Hair website, it’s, quote, “The essence of repugnant desire” . . . and also, “Just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard work.” There’s no word what it actually smells like. Burnt Hair isn’t officially out until early next year, but Musk claims he’s already sold 10,000 bottles.

Mark Wahlberg recently moved from Hollywood to Nevada to give his family a better life. He says, quote, “I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there. So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.” He also wants to build a “state-of-the-art studio” and create “Hollywood 2.0”, so he doesn’t have to travel too far for work.

“American Idol” runner-up Willie Spence died Tuesday, after hitting the rear of a tractor trailer that was stopped on the shoulder of the highway near Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He was 23 years old. There’s no word on the details of the crash, but the truck driver wasn’t injured.  Hours before the accident, Willie recorded himself singing in the car. Willie finished second to Chayce Beckham on Season 19 of “Idol” last year.

Earlier this year, Stephen Colbert announced that he was hosting a celebrity PICKLEBALL tournament called “Pickled”.  And now we know who’s playing. There will be 16 competitors, and the biggest names include Will Ferrell, Emma Watson, Luis Guzman, Daniel Dae Kim, Sugar Ray Leonard, Kelly Rowland, Aisha Tyler, Dierks Bentley, and Tig Notaro. The rest of the lineup is country singer Jimmie Allen, comedian Paul Scheer, Max Greenfield, Mexican actor Jaime Camil, Phil Keoghan, actress June Diane Raphael, and Murray Bartlett from HBO’s “The White Lotus”. The two-hour show will air November 17th on CBS.

If you think Adam Sandler plays similar characters in his movies, it’s because he does.  He puts a part of himself in the “loser” type characters he likes to play. During the “Vanity Fair” podcast “Little Gold Men”, he said, quote, “I just have a natural part of my brain that feels like I don’t belong here.  This feeling uncomfortable and loser stuff I’ve been doing for years, it’s in me . . . “I don’t look back at any of my old stuff and go, ‘Wow, you nailed it there, man.’ I’m usually like, ‘Wow, you were just getting by’, I think just getting more and more settled as a human being, my acting is probably changing over the years.”

Hulu just released the trailer for their upcoming documentary, “God Forbid:  The Sex Scandal that Brought Down a Dynasty”.  It tells the story of the scandal that ended with Jerry Falwell Jr. resigning from his position as head of Virginia’s Liberty University, and his wife’s Becki’s alleged 7-year affair with a pool boy.  Here’s part of the trailer.

Speaking of trailers…Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell team for a take on A Christmas Carol in the first teaser for their upcoming holiday movie musical. Yesterday, Apple TV+ dropped a video preview for Spirited, which sees Reynolds starring as Clint Briggs, a Scrooge-like character visited on Christmas Eve by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Ferrell plays the Ghost of Christmas Present, with the ghostly host ultimately reexamining his own past, present and future. The minute-and-a-half teaser is light on plot but does offer a glimpse of the story’s colorful and comedic take on the Charles Dickens classic, told from the perspective of the ghosts (LINK)

A three-part documentary exploring the real story behind the hit show Glee is in the works at Discovery+.  It will lift the curtain to reveal the highs and lows of the production and will also feature testimonials of close family and friends with never-heard-before stories. The untitled series will address the controversies surrounding the show, including the case of Mark Salling, who played Puck. He was arrested and pleaded guilty to possessing images of child sex abuse and killed himself while awaiting sentencing. Then there was the death of Cory Monteith, who played Finn. Monteith died of an accidental heroin overdose. His girlfriend Lea Michele, who played Rachel Berry, was accused of on-set bullying. After the show ended, Naya Rivera, who played Santa Lopez, died on a boating trip, survived by her four-year-old son Josey. No release date has been given.

Trevor Noah’s departure date from The Daily Show has been confirmed. Comedy Central announced Noah’s last day will be December 8th.  The show will return after holiday hiatus on January 17th, 2023. The network hasn’t chosen a new host.  Noah announced his intentions to leave the late-night show several weeks ago.  In a statement about the final show, Noah said, “I’m truly excited to see what the future holds.”

“Days of Our Lives” moved from NBC to the Peacock streaming service last month . . . and dove straight into the GUTTER.  Last Thursday’s episode featured the first THREE-WAY in the history of daytime TV. If it matters to you, the characters involved were Allie Horton, Chanel Dupree, and the very lucky Alex Kiriakis.  Well, you might want to check on Grandma, because chances are she is NOT okay.  A lot of longtime viewers who somehow know how to navigate social media have been complaining.  Here are some of their comments:

  1. “DAYS of our Lives is disgusting now!!  I have watched for over 40 years.  I didn’t know it could get any more disgusting but now they have young people having threesomes!  No wonder our country [is] spiraling out of control.”
  1. “Today’s episode was disgusting.  Days has gone too far with the Allie, Chanel, Alex storyline.   This is obscene.  I’m done!”
  1. “Well today’s show with the threesome was the last straw.  I’ve been trying to stay with the show because I have watched it since I was a kid and I’m 59, so a long time.  But I’m done. This is just too much and I don’t support their views anymore.  It’s so sad but the move to Peacock is going to be the end of the show for the long timers.  Makes me mad they took it away from us.  Bye Days.”
  1. “I’m really shocked and highly disappointed in Days bringing on a threesome.  It’s an all-time low for me for Days to be so desperate to do this.  Where do you draw the line, writers?”

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick were among the victims of Bernie Madoff’s infamous Ponzi scheme.  And in a new interview, Kevin admits that they lost MOST of their money. He says, quote, “There’s obvious life lessons there.  You know, if something is too good to be true, it’s too good to be true.  “And when something like that happens, you know, you look at each other, then you go, ‘Well, that sucks.  Let’s, roll up our sleeves and get to work,’ you know?” He adds, quote, “We’ve made it this far.  Our kids are healthy.  We’re healthy.  We can still both work and certainly, you get angry and stuff, but I have to say that there were a lot of people who were much worse off than we were.”

Cardi B celebrated her 30th birthday with a huge party at a club in West Hollywood Tuesday night.  But one VIP was DENIED at the door. Jamie Foxx rolled up in his white Rolls-Royce, got out, and changed his shoes.   Then he walked up to the club, had a conversation with the doorman, and walked BACK to his car.  So it looked like they turned him away.  But before Jamie got back to his car, the doorman came running up and tried to get Jamie back.  But he told the guy it was all good and left. It turns out Jamie showed up to the party late, with a crew of 10, and nobody even knew he was coming . . . so they didn’t have a spot for everybody.  So he bailed, but he was totally cool with it.

TMZ says that Brandy – the R&B singer –  has been hospitalized after a possible seizure at her home in Los Angeles.  Sources said EMTs were sent to Brandy’s house around noon on Tuesday.  On Wednesday, Brandy posted an update on her condition on social media.  She wrote, “To my beloved fam, friends, and starz thank you for sending love and light my way. I am following doctors’ orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon.”

One of the most beloved rock tracks of the early 2000s, Audioslave‘s “Like a Stone,” has reached the milestone of hitting 1 billion views on YouTube. “Like a Stone” is featured on the supergroup’s self-titled debut album, which came out in November of 2002. Audioslave went on to release another two albums together, 2005’s Out of Exile and 2007’s Revelations, before disbanding later that year. They reunited for a couple of songs in January of 2017 at the Anti-Inaugural Ball, where they played “Like a Stone” together for the final time. Cornell died several months later.

Who better to teach your kids how to read than AC/DC, right?  Well, there’s a book coming out next month called “The AC/DC AB/CD High Voltage Alphabet”. And it includes passages like this: “A is for Angus / Who thinks it’s good luck / To wear a school uniform / And walk like a duck.” The book feels like it’s more for adult collectors than actual kids, with references to “Hell’s Bells” and other kid-unfriendly AC/DC songs. The entry for “J” reads, “J is for jail / With no liberty / Break the hell out / You’ve got to be free.”

Eagles Of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes says his bandmate Josh Homme has recorded a new Queens of The Stone Age album. While talking about recording a new Eagles album on Instagram Live, Hughes added “Queens just did one, now we’re doing ours now.” Queens of The Stone Age has also announced appearances at several 2023 European festivals.

Have YOU ever tried to change someone’s mind about country music?  There’s a thread (LINK) online where someone says their friend thinks country music is all about beer and trucks (and, well, it is sometimes).
