So far, more than $152 million has been raised through their COVID-19 Response Fund, and it’s helped more than 228,000 small business owners. HBO Max is the most expensive streaming service at $14.99 a month . . . and it’s also one of the newer ones, so really you have to justify another cost on top of what you already had. The CEO of HBO noticed that as well and came out with another tier that’s lower cost but with ads. It should be unveiled later this year, but there aren’t any details on how it’ll work yet. Interestingly, this is the first time a streaming service would be making itself CHEAPER. Normally its…start with a lower cost and then add more expensive, ad-free tiers. HBO Max will also premiere all of Warner Bros. theatrical releases this year . . . so it wasn’t shocking that it was priced at $14.99.
