BRITNEY SPEARS and husband (?)Sam Asghari are having a baby…I think. Or she just gotta go potty. In a typically confusing Instagram post she said, quote, “I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back . . . My husband said ‘No you’re food pregnant silly!!!’ So I got a pregnancy test . . . and uhhhhh well . . . I am having a baby.” But then she added, quote, “4 days later I got a little more food pregnant. It’s growing!!! If 2 are in there . . . I might just [lose] it . . .”I obviously won’t be going out as much due to the paps getting their money shot of me like they unfortunately already have.” Then she said, quote, “It’s hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression . . . I have to say it is absolutely horrible. This time I will be doing yoga every day!!! Spreading lots of joy and love.” Then her boyfriend/husband Sam posted a picture of two lions with their cub, and said, quote, “Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and I don’t take lightly. It is the most important job I will ever do.” So yeah, it sounds like a baby’s coming.

SIMON COWELL looks a bit . . . different. I didn’t notice until side by sides from last year to this. Well, here’s why he looked different. He is DONE pumping his face with Botox. Simon said he was looking, quote “like something out a horror film.” He said even his eight-year-old son Eric was in hysterics over his face. Quote, “There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognize it as me . . . Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment.” (LINK)
Someone has isolated audio of all the non-words from a Michael Jackson song. All the grunts, growls, and exclamations. If you didn’t already see this. Can you tell me the MJ song? Smooth Criminal
Don’t you hate it when a movie SUCKS, and you feel like you’re the only person who knows it? Well, some writer came up with a list of 10 movies that don’t deserve their popularity. Here they are, along with a synopsis of his reasoning (LINK)
- “Avatar”: Stunning visuals, but not much else.
- “Inception”: More pretentious than ambitious.
- “The Dark Knight Rises”: Pales compared to its predecessor.
- “The Blind Side”: Suffers from a white-savior complex.
- “Shakespeare in Love”: Didn’t deserve best picture.
- “La La Land”: Not the modern musical it wanted to be.
- “V for Vendetta”: Created a famous symbol, not a movie.
- “The King’s Speech”: So well-made, it’s bland.
- “Rebel Without a Cause”: Feels superficial.
- “The Blair Witch Project”: Iconic, but not scary.
Almost everyone has walked into a Spirit Halloween store at least once during the Halloween season. After all, there’s over 1,400 locations across the country. Thanks to all the vacant buildings that allow them to rise from the dead every year. Well, there’s going to be a family movie based on the store called . . . you guessed it . . . “Spirit Halloween”. CHRISTOPHER LLOYD is in it, and so is RACHEL LEIGH COOK, from “She’s All That” and “Josie and the Pussycats”. It’s going to be about a Spirit Halloween store that pops up in a deserted shopping center (as they do). But when three middle school friends make a dare to spend the night locked in the store . . . that’s when things get spooky. The store is haunted by an evil spirit who possesses the animatronics, so the kids have to figure out how to survive the night. Filming already completed, but no release date has been announced. Most likely it’ll be out in time for this year’s Halloween (LINK)
When you like something on Netflix, you give it a thumbs up. But what if you want to tell Netflix you REALLY, REALLY like it? Now you can. Netflix started rolling out a DOUBLE THUMBS UP yesterday. And it helps give them a better idea what you’re into, so they can make more accurate recommendations. Netflix says, quote, “A Thumbs Up still lets us know what you liked, so we use this response to make similar recommendations. But a Double Thumbs Up tells us what you loved and helps us get even more specific with your recommendations.”
Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm just aired its eleventh season last year, and it seems like another season is in the works. It has been on air since 2000. With a lot of breaks. At an Emmy panel for Curb, he confirmed there would be another season–though he didn’t specify when. Season 11 just wrapped up in December, and David normally takes long breaks in between seasons, so it’s likely the next season won’t be for a few years. For reference, the break between seasons eight and nine was six years (LINK)

Alec Bohm might find it easier in Philadelphia to make up for errors in the field than one with his mouth. The three E-5s were nothing compared to one F-bomb he dropped in frustration. Lip-readers ran wild when cameras caught Bohm having some choice words after his second error. “I f—ing hate this place,” he said. After the game he said: “Look, emotions got the best of me. I said it. Do I mean it? No,” Bohm said. “It’s a frustrating night for me, obviously. … These people, these fans, they just want to win. … I don’t mean that.”

The few last hours of the regular season have come and gone… we say good bye to the 2021/22 NBA campaign, where we lived incredible moments, historic feats, big surprises, and a couple of disappointments. The 30 teams have closed their regular seasons, and five, yes FIVE players played the entire 82 games. Basketball Forever shared a graphic showing the five players that have played all of the games. Mikal Bridges, Kevon Looney, Deni Avdija, Saddiq Bey, and Dwight Powell have all played every game in the season.
The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly expected to part ways with coach Frank Vogel, and roster changes are certain to follow suit around LeBron James. LeBron isn’t getting any younger, but is still an extremely productive player, as he just wrapped up one of the best offensive seasons of his career. One area of the roster that the Lakers are expected to review is point guard, where the Russell Westbook experiment was by-and-large a failure. Westbrook failed to mesh offensively with James and Anthony Davis and was the subject of criticism for falling short of expectations and not adapting well with his new team. If the Lakers were to move Westbrook and his $47 million player option that he is expected to pick up, the Indiana Pacers could emerge as a landing spot.
Tonight the NBA play-in games start. The Cavs will take on the Nets at 6PM and the Clippers will take on the Timberwolves tonight at 8:30PM.
The Atlanta Dream, who traded up last week to acquire the top overall pick in the 2022 WNBA draft, selected Kentucky guard Rhyne Howard at No. 1. Baylor (LINK)‘s 6-4 forward NaLyssa Smith, the Big 12 Player of the Year the past two seasons, was the No. 2 pick by the Indiana Fever. During the WNBA draft last night, Commissioner Cathy Engelbert expressed concern and offered her support for Phoenix Mercury veteran Brittney Griner, who remains detained in Russia. She said: “This is an unimaginable situation for her to be in. She continues to have our full support. Certainly, we’re trying everything we can, every angle, working with her legal representation, her agent, elected leaders, the administration. Just everybody in our ecosystem to try and find ways to get her home safely and as quickly as we can.” Griner was detained (LINK) by the Russian Federal Customs Service at a Moscow airport in February after they allegedly found vape cartridges containing cannabis oil in her luggage. If convicted, she could spend a maximum of 10 years in prison.
