KANYE WEST is single and apparently ROSEANNE BARR wants a slice. She posted some bathing suit pictures of herself on Instagram, and captioned them “Hey Kanye”, with the emoji of the face with hearts for eyes. Meanwhile, NICHOLAS BRAUN from the HBO series “Succession” is shooting HIS shot of course via social media…possibly tongue in cheek
GWYNETH PALTROW is first for everything did you know? She is suggesting she wore a mask first and everyone followed. Oh and she is the first one SHE knew to have Covid too. Here’s her quote, from a “New York Times” interview . . . “This is a familiar pattern in my life. I do something early, everyone is like, ‘What is she doing? She’s insane.’ And then it’s adopted by the culture. “I had to take this trip to France when it was all kicking off. I wore it on the plane, but I didn’t wear it to the function that I was going to . . . “And actually ended up getting Covid and coming home, and being one of the first people that I had heard of to have it.”
A couple Tweets…Yes people are wearing masks to block out the smell of your candles…She can shove her mask where candle has been…If only the rest of the world could find someone to love them as deeply as Gwyneth Paltrow loves herself…
STEVEN SPIELBERG directed DREW BARRYMORE in “E.T.” when she was just 6 years old. He’s also her godfather. So he wasn’t thrilled when she posed for “Playboy” in 1995. He says he sent her a quilt that said “Cover Up” on it. He also had an artist make paper doll cutout clothes that he could glue onto her nude photos. He sent those to her, too. About a week later, he received an apology from Drew: Three photos where she’s dressed up as a nun in front of a church. She captioned them, “I’m sorry,” “I’ve seen the light,” and “I’m on my way.” They still hang in his house to this day.
“The Simpsons” is 32 seasons in . . . and it’s making some changes to match the changing times. Last year, HANK AZARIA announced that he’d no longer voice Apu, due to increasing criticism over the voice being an offensive stereotype. And now, HARRY SHEARER will no longer voice Dr. Hibbert, who’s Black. This past Sunday’s episode had Harry providing Hibbert’s voice for the final time. Going forward, Hibbert will be voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, who has worked on more than 70 “Simpsons” episodes in the past. His credits also include “Family Guy”, “American Dad”, and “F Is for Family”. Also recently, Hank gave up voicing Homer’s co-worker Carl Carlson. He’s now voiced by Alex Désert. This is all in line with what the “Simpsons” producers pledged last summer . . . quote, “Moving forward, [we] will no longer have white actors voice nonwhite characters.” Last summer, “Family Guy” also changed the actor who voiced Cleveland Brown from Mike Henry, who’s White, to Arif Zahir, who’s Black.
The next Marvel characters to join the live action universe might be the Big Hero 6 superheroes. I read some of the characters COULD be coming to life in the MCU. It’s not known if the actors voicing the characters could also reprise the role on screen, and there’s no official confirmation.
American Pie is one of the greatest comedies of our generation. Do you want a reunion of the reunion? Tara Reid has revealed that the cast of American Pie have been talking about doing a new sequel. Reid, who played Vicky in the 1999 comedy as well as its sequels American Pie 2 (2001) and American Pie Reunion (2012), said she and her co-stars have discussed the possibility of making another film in the series. “We’ve been talking about it for ages. We’d all love to do it, but we’ll see what happens.”

I promised Scott I would do this story so here ya go…Halle Berry’s first kiss was not with a guy. Halle wanted to French kiss her boyfriend but didn’t know how, so she asked her female best friend to teach her.
Some fans noticed that Jennifer Aniston clears her throat – a lot – on “Friends,” and that quirk has ruined the show for some people. (This has been known for years. Here’s a montage from 2016.)
DAFT PUNK (Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo) shutting it down after 28 years. They made the announcement in an eight-minute video, where one of the guys literally blew up the other one. The other guy then walks off into the sunset. It would’ve been weird coming from anyone else, but for them it was on-brand. The group hasn’t commented beyond that. Their publicist confirmed the news . . . but didn’t give a reason for the breakup. Their debut album featured the singles “Around the World” and “Da Funk“. I think of the One More Time song. They released four studio albums, plus the soundtrack to “Tron: Legacy”. Their most recent one, “Random Access Memories”, came out in 2013, and it won the Grammy for Album of the Year. That’s the album with “Get Lucky“. The Weeknd‘s 2016 collab with the group on “Starboy” was their first #1 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100. Overall, they got 12 Grammy nominations . . . and won six of them. The duo has an estimated net worth of over $140 million, which is the combined net worth of Thomas Bangalter $70 million and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo $70 million
“Billboard” pointed out that Daft Punk isn’t the first band whose final album won Album of the Year. For example, Simon & Garfunkel never released a follow-up to “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, which swept the 1970 awards . . . Ray Charles died just before the release of “Genius Loves Company” . . . John Lennon was killed three weeks before the release of “Double Fantasy”, and Lauryn Hill has yet to release a follow-up to her solo debut, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”, which took the 1998 award for Album of the Year.
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and BARACK OBAMA are doing a podcast together. It’s called “Renegades: Born in the USA”, and they’ll discuss topics including race, fatherhood, marriage and the state of America. The show is on Spotify, and the first two episodes are available now.
The back and forth between Soundgarden and Vicky Cornell continues as the band says Vickys numbers for the buyout offer are grossly mischaracterized. And the it will come out in court. Despite Vicky claiming the band was offered $16 million for their catalog, the guys wrote “All offers to buy out our interests have been unsolicited and rejected outright”. They’ve also called Vicky out for taking over the band’s social media, with “For more than a year, SOUNDGARDEN’s social media accounts have been hijacked; misleading and confusing our fans.”

The Blues were on the ice against the Kings last night at Enterprise Center. The Blues wore the red jerseys again last night, and I guess now we can OFFICIALLY blame the jerseys because the Blues are 0-2 while wearing them. The Kings beat the Blues 3-0. There’s another game tomorrow night against the Kings at Enterprise. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:30PM. We don’t have any solid update, but the injury to Carl Gunnarrson yesterday was GNARLY. He could put zero weight on his leg as he skated off the ice.
The 2021 season may be the final one of Albert Pujols‘ legendary career—but that has yet to be determined. On Monday, Deidre Pujols, his wife, wrote the following lengthy message on her Instagram page: “Today is the first day of the last season of one of the most remarkable careers in sports! I’m talking about my husband @albertpujols who since the time he was a child would eat, sleep, and breathe this sport. Albert says he doesn’t want to be known for what he did on the field but rather who he was off the field…today I will celebrate both! Finish strong like the Angel you are and I know you will wow us all this 2021 season as usual! #lastseason #baseball #mlb #baseballplayer #albertpujols #angelsbaseball” Pujols, 41, is already well on his way to the Hall of Fame regardless of what happens during the 2021 campaign. He is a three-time league MVP, two-time World Series champion, 10-time All-Star, Rookie of the Year, two-time Gold Glover, six-time Silver Slugger, one-time batting champion and one-time National League Championship Series MVP.
Mariners president and CEO Kevin Mather has resigned. The resignation comes after a video surfaced in which Mather belittles the English of former pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma and prospect outfielder Julio Rodríguez. He made the comments in early February. Mariners chairman John Stanton will serve as acting president and CEO until a successor is hired. In the 40-minute video, Mather spoke about the English of Iwakuma, who joined the team as a special assignments coach in January. “It frustrates me. For instance, he’s coming to spring training. And I’m going to say, I’m tired of paying his interpreter. When he was a player, we’d pay Iwakuma X, but we’d also have to pay $75,000 a year to have an interpreter with him. His English suddenly got better; his English got better when we told him that!” He then touched on Rodríguez’s fluency as well as his personality. “Julio Rodríguez has got a personality bigger than all of you combined. He is loud; his English is not tremendous.” “There is no excuse for what was said, and I don’t want to try to make one,” Stanton said. “I offer my sincere apology on behalf of the club and my partners to our players and fans. We must be, and do, better.”
The Eagles are planning to release wide receiver Alshon Jeffery at the start of the new league year. The 30-year-old played four seasons with the Eagles and was the team’s No. 1 wideout en route to their Super Bowl LII victory. He began his career with the Bears after the team selected him with the 45th overall pick in the 2012 draft. Jeffery played in Chicago for five seasons and enjoyed a particularly successful two-year stretch from 2013-14 in which he snatched 174 passes for 2,554 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Oklahoma Sooners holder and wide receiver Spencer Jones nearly lost his left eye after getting into a fight in the bathroom of a bar in OK. The incident took place Saturday night and video hit the internet. Jones, a redshirt senior, underwent surgery Feb. 16 after the swelling around his eye reduced. An attorney for Jones said that QUOTE “The doctor came out of that surgery saying he’s extraordinarily lucky at this point, that he’s lucky he didn’t lose the eye altogether. He was able to do some things surgically to rebuild that orbital socket and thinks everything is eventually going to come back to normal, but it’s going to take a while for him to fully recover.”
Notre Dame announced Monday that it will not appear in EA Sports NCAA Football video game series until the name, image and likeness rules are further established. The school released a statement saying: “Notre Dame Athletics welcomes the return of EA Sports College Football, a video game series that has historically helped promote interest in college football. Notre Dame will not, however, participate in the game until such time as rules have been finalized governing the participation of our student-athletes. As those rules are developed, it is our strong desire that student-athletes be allowed to benefit directly from allowing their name, image and performance history to be used in the game.”
