BRITNEY SPEARS spoke out again yesterday, this time in an Instagram post (link). She said, quote, “I don’t want people to think my life is perfect because it’s definitely not at all . . . and if you have read anything about me in the news this week you obviously really know now it’s not!!!! “I apologize for pretending like I’ve been ok the past two years . . . I did it because of my pride and I was embarrassed to share what happened to me . . . but honestly who doesn’t want to capture [their] Instagram in a fun light!!!! “Believe it or not pretending that I’m ok has actually helped . . . I feel like Instagram has helped me have a cool outlet to share my presence . . . existence . . . and to simply feel like I matter despite what I was going through and hey it worked.” On a related note, Planned Parenthood has not surprisingly thrown its support (link) behind Britney, after her revelation that her conservatorship won’t let her remove her IUD and get pregnant.
Kanye West (link) is suing Walmart for allegedly selling a knockoff version of his well-known foam shoe design much cheaper and leaving customers confused about whether they were buying the real thing or an imitation and costing him hundreds of millions of dollars in sales. It’s the Foam Runner. It sodl out instantly at $75 a pop. They say Walmart then made an “unauthorized exact copy” and has been selling it — at just under $25 a pair — in order to cash in on the popularity of Kanye and the Foam Runner. – A company spokesperson tells us, “The product referenced in the complaint is not sold by Walmart, but rather by third party Marketplace sellers. We take allegations like this seriously and are reviewing the claim. We will respond in court as appropriate after we have been served with the complaint.”
Earlier this week, TMZ reported that DMX’s record label Def Jam paid over $35,000 for X’s funeral expenses. However, Baller Alert is reporting that the amount was a lot more. Allegedly, some people close to the label put the funeral bill at close to $300,000. Much of that cost went into renting the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the ceremony. It was a gesture from Def Jam to thank DMX for his contribution to music.X passed away on April 9th at the age of 50.
ASHTON KUTCHER seems like one of those guys who just wants to help. Everyone. With whatever. Which is why he produces a show on Crackle called “Going from Broke”, to help people get out from under crushing debt. He says, quote, “Nobody is teaching these simple fundamental rules of personal financial wellness, unless you come from a family that already has it. That’s the stark reality of why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. “Financial literacy is truly generational. If your parents aren’t financially literate, it’s unlikely that you will become financially literate.” He adds, quote, “Fundamentally, money is a drug. The beauty of this show is that for everybody that comes on, they have to say, ‘I’m broke.’ Which is an admission of hitting rock bottom. “There’s a lot of ego tied to wealth and material objects . . . you’ve got to let go of your ego and your self-identity that is tied to your money and your materialism. That’s a very hard thing to do.”
The pot business is old news. BOB MARLEY’s family is getting in on the magic mushroom business collaborating with a global wellness company to create a line called Marley One . . . the first global functional and psychedelic mushroom brand for consumers. They are FUNCTIONAL mushrooms meaning these are NOT psychedelic. They help with sleep, the immune system, and even digestion. Later this year they’ll launch PSYCHEDELIC mushroom products in LEGAL markets like Jamaica. And also cosmetics, gummies, and capsules.
UFOs are big again. The government is about to release a summary of everything it knows about UFOs. Early reports (link) indicate that it’ll be pretty inconclusive. But that isn’t stopping Discovery from milking it for all it’s worth. Next Wednesday they’re doing a three-hour LIVE event called “UFOs Declassified”, where they analyze the report. It’ll be simulcast on Discovery, the Science Channel, and the Travel Channel. In addition to experts from the government and scientific communities, guests will include “X-Files” creator Chris Carter, “Men in Black” director Barry Sonnenfeld, and Tom DeLonge from Blink-182, who’s an actual UFO expert.
Okay, I’m not saying MILLIE BOBBY BROWN is the only important one in “Stranger Things” . . . but the series DOES center around her character Eleven . . .Stranger Con in L.A. JUST announced that Millie will no longer be the main guest due to a scheduling conflict. The event has been rescheduled a few times and its new date is January 8th and 9th. Even though there will be no Eleven . . . the lineup still looks pretty great. Confirmed guests include Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, and Sadie Sink . . . in other words . . . Mike, Will, Dustin, and Max. Sorry moms, doesn’t look like David Harbour will be on-site.

It’s one of Metallica’s biggest hits, but James Hetfield was almost too macho to release it. Nothing Else Matters. He wrote the love song after missing his then-girlfriend. Then he felt conflicted saying the song felt like “a huge sign of weakness.” “You’re in Metallica. This is hardcore. What the f*** are you doing? It certainly has connected; the video has nearly one billion YouTube streams and the song has over 626 million plays on Spotify.
Not many albums have had the impact of the BEATLES’ 1967 classic “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. But according to the website UDiscoverMusic, every decade since has one album that, quote, “revolutionized music, whether through production, style, or cultural impact,” and acted as a “catalyst to greater cultural change.” Here are the albums they think had that impact:
The 1970s: “A Night at the Opera”, Queen
The 1980s: “Purple Rain”, Prince and the Revolution
The 1990s: “OK Computer”, Radiohead
The 2000s: “College Dropout”, Kanye West
The 2010s: “To Pimp a Butterfly”, Kendrick Lamar

The Cards are back at Busch to take on the Pirates for a weekend series. And – things didn’t go well. Seems like we are saying that a lot lately. The Pirates got the 8-2 win over the Cards. Tonight, back at it. KK gets the start. First pitch 7:15PM
The Chicago Cubs threw their first combined no-hitter in franchise history as four pitchers shut down the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-0 on Thursday night. It’s the seventh no-hitter in baseball this season. The twist on Thursday night’s no-hitter is that the three relievers who finished the game, after starter Zach Davies came out after six innings, didn’t know the Dodgers were hitless until after they pitched. Davies pitched the first six innings without giving up a hit but was pulled for a pinch hitter in the top of the seventh inning after 94 pitches. His pitch count was simply too high to complete what he started.
Three different relievers wrapped things up for the Cubs. This no-hitter makes it the most ever before July 1st.

The Hawks are up 1-0 and look to go 2-0 with tip off at 7:30PM.
The Dallas Mavericks are finalizing a deal to make Hall of Fame point guard Jason Kidd the franchise’s new head coach. Sources said that Kidd has begun the early stages of assembling a coaching staff. Kidd, who had two stints with the Mavericks during his playing career and starred on the 2010-11 championship team, has had the support of Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki and others who have been advising Cuban. Nowitzki recently returned to the franchise as a special advisor to assist Cuban in the searches for a new lead basketball executive and head coach. In other coaching news…The Pacers have hired Rick Carlisle as their next head coach. Carlisle’s deal will be for four years and $29 million. Carlisle joins Indiana one week after parting ways with the Mavericks. He led Dallas to the playoffs nine times in 13 years, including a championship run in 2011. The Mavs’ ’20–21 season ended in a first-round loss to the Clippers.
USA Basketball finalized its star-laden roster for the Tokyo Olympics on Wednesday. Unfortunately – originally thought to be on the roster – James Harden had to withdraw because of a hamstring injury. The team will be highlighted by Kevin Durant and Draymond Green who are the only returning members of the 2016 team that won gold at the Rio Olympics. But the roster is stacked with All-Stars playing in their first Olympics, including Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal, Bam Adebayo and Jayson Tatum. Kevin Love, who was on the 2012 gold-medal-winning squad in London, is also on the team. Three players on the roster — Milwaukee Bucks stars Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday and Phoenix’s Devin Booker– are still active in the postseason and could play as late as July 22, the latest date for an NBA Finals Game 7.
Jeff Gordon will leave the Fox Sports booth to take a daily role at Hendrick Motorsports as vice chairman and the second-ranking team official to majority owner Rick Hendrick. Wednesday’s announcement puts the four-time champion and Hall of Fame driver to one day succeed the 71-year-old Hendrick at the top of NASCAR’s winningest organization. Gordon, 49, will formally begin the executive management role at the start of 2022.
