BRUCE WILLIS is stepping away from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia.  It’s a condition that affects a person’s ability to speak or write, and even to understand words.  Bruce is 67 years old. His wife, daughters, and his ex-wife DEMI MOORE made a joint statement yesterday on social media.  They said, quote, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters . . . This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support . . . “We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.  As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up’ and together we plan to do just that.” Those who have worked with Bruce over the last few years have noticed he was having cognitive issues on set, like remembering lines.  A source (LINK) even said his family had moved in to take care of him.

RYAN REYNOLDS is now the first actor to have THREE movies on the all-time most popular English-language Netflix movie list. His latest movie “The Adam Project” just entered the list at #7.  His 2019 movie “6 Underground” is at #9 . . . and,  “Red Notice” with THE ROCK and GAL GADOT remains at #1.

For reference, here is the entire Top 10 all-time list, with how many hours they’ve been streamed:

  1. “Red Notice”,  364 million hours
  2. “Don’t Look Up”,  359.8 million hours
  3. “Bird Box”,  282 million hours
  4. “Extraction”,  231.3 million hours
  5. “The Unforgivable”,  214.7 million hours
  6. “The Irishman”,  214.6 million hours
  7. “The Adam Project”,  209.7 million hours
  8. “The Kissing Booth 2”,  209.3 million hours
  9. “6 Underground”,  205.5 million hours
  10. “Spencer Confidential”,  197.3 million hours

Speaking of Netflix — A “Spy Kids” comeback is heading to Netflix.  They are going to relaunch the franchise with a new movie with the original director ROBERT RODRIGUEZ. Robert is going to write, direct, and produce the new movie featuring a new family of spies.  There’s no more information at this time. The “Spy Kids” franchise currently has four movies and a Netflix animated series.

Interesting date to throw on your calendar if you are all into Game of Thrones….The “Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon” now has a release date.  The show is coming to HBO on August 21st.

CHRIS ROCK kicked off his standup tour in Boston last night, and the crowd met him with a standing ovation.  After they quieted down, he asked them, quote, “How was your weekend?” Then he announced that he WASN’T going to talk about the Oscars.  Quote, “I don’t have a bunch of [stuff] about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend, and I’m still kind of processing what happened. “So at some point I’ll talk about that [stuff].  And it’ll be serious, and it’ll be funny.” Later on in his set, he said, quote, “Except for some other pretty weird things, life is pretty good right now.” He got another standing O at the end of the show.

And just some other quick stuff about all that…Both WANDA SYKES and AMY SCHUMER are Team CHRIS ROCK.  And they both say they’re still traumatized from THE SLAP.  Wanda is disappointed that WILL SMITH wasn’t ejected from the ceremony.  The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences says Will WAS asked to leave the Oscars, but he REFUSED.  The Academy will decide whether to take disciplinary action at its next board meeting on April 18th. If, for some reason, PRESIDENT BIDEN’s take on this chaos matters to you, you’ll have to wait.  A White House spokeswoman says he hasn’t commented, because he didn’t watch the Oscars.  And also – ROCK was on “Howard Stern” a few years ago, talking about what a traumatic childhood he had . . . which could explain how he reacted to the slap on Oscar night

Remember yesterday Jeff mentioned that the dude who is The Flash – Ezra Miller – was arrested doing some karaoke?  Well – apparently – he’s kind of a dick in Hawaii.  He had apparently been causing all kinds of trouble in Hawaii even before his arrest on Monday.  Police were already called 10 times over mostly minor incidents.  There is apparently video of a woman having to physically keep him from entering a bar after he’d been kicked out of another joint across the street.

DAVID and VICTORIA BECKHAM were the victims of a burglary that happened February 28th at their London home.  The masked intruder was pretty bold considering they were IN THE HOUSE at the time.  The thief broke in through an upstairs window while David, Victoria, and their daughter were downstairs relaxing.  They didn’t realize what happened until their son Cruz came home and saw one of their spare rooms had been ransacked. A source said, quote, “The [thief] had broken through a window and darted straight back out of the same one with a small number of items.  Luckily none had a huge amount of sentimental value to the family.” The items taken were designer and electronic goods, that were worth thousands of dollars.  The source also added that the Beckhams were, quote, “clearly shaken up.”  Police are investigating the incident, including their security footage.

TOM PARKER, the lead singer of the British boy band THE WANTED, passed away yesterday after a battle with brain cancer.  He was 33 years old. In October of 2020 he was diagnosed with inoperable stage four brain cancer.  Since then he had received different treatments, even most recently receiving treatment in Spain. Last week Tom had announced that he’s releasing a book called “Hope” this July about his cancer battle.  Quote, “My book is not about dying.  It’s about finding hope in whatever situation you’re dealt, and living your best life no matter what.” And earlier this month he was able to perform with his band for the last time in England.  Since he’s been too weak to perform, he came out for their last song. Tom leaves behind his wife and two kids . . . a two-year-old daughter and 16-month-old son.

Speaking of boy bands…’N SYNC is teasing SOMETHING . . . but we don’t know what yet. They Tweeted (LINK) a picture of a woman wearing a sweatshirt that seems to say “Pop!” on the back.  But it’s hard to tell.  It’s partially obscured, because she’s inside the “N” from ‘N Sync. It also says “Vol. 7 Coming Soon” . . . and the caption says, “Something is Coming . . .” Fans are getting HYPED, thinking maybe there’s a REUNION coming.  ‘N Sync hasn’t released new music since they went on a “hiatus” in 2002.

The Grammys are this weekend.  And just so you have some time to get familiar with the nominees for best song…here they are very quickly.  How many do you know, Rizz?

Bruce Arians is leaving the sideline. He is stepping down as coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Arians will move into a senior football consultant position for the team’s front office. Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will take over as head coach. Arians was in charge when Tom Brady led the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl title in 2021. He became the oldest coach to win a Super Bowl at the age of 68. In a statement, Arians said the decision to step down was not about health. He commented, “Before you start thinking this is about my health, don’t. This is the best I have felt in many years and I’m looking forward to helping this team continue winning through my new role.”Arians has dealt with several bouts of cancer and partial removal of one of his kidneys during his coaching career.

In soccer news: It has been dark times for the US Men’s National Team for many years now but things are looking up. July 1, 2014 was the last time anybody saw the United States men’s national team at a FIFA World Cup. It was a 2-1 defeat to Belgium in extra time in the round of 16 — you know the one. After Sunday’s trouncing of Panama they went into San Jose, Costa Rica last night and the young USMNT did end up doing enough to book their ticket to Qatar, though it came following a poor 2-0 loss where the team was inconsistent and struggled with the physicality of their opponent. They were headed to the World Cup as long as they didn’t lose 6-0. So, bad loss but it’s a young team we should be behind and could have a bright future. We’ll see them in the World Cup thankfully.

The best cure for whatever ails the Blues this season continues to be the West. After spotting the Canucks leads of 1-0 and 2-1, St. Louis kicked into gear by scoring the next three goals and then hung on in the closing minutes for a 4-3 victory and a season series sweep against the Canucks – three games to none. At 37-20-9 overall, the Blues now have 83 points for the season and leapfrogged ahead of Nashville by a point into third place in the Central Division. Blues face Edmonton on Friday and Pacific Division-leading Calgary on Saturday to close out the Blues’ final Canadian trip of the regular season.

The Cardinals had an interesting game recently. The Cardinals’ third-base coach was stopping every runner he could at third base in the eighth inning only to have the next hitter drive him in. Why is that ya think? It was because it was a 15-run inning for the Cards. The Cardinals were getting their first look at Washington veteran righthander Anibal Sanchez since he tilted the scales in Game 1 of the 2019 National League championship series by taking a no-hitter into the eighth inning, beating Miles Mikolas 2-0. That ignited a four-game sweep by the Nationals, who went on to win the World Series.

The Cardinals wound up with one hit off Sanchez that night. The Cardinals had 12 times as many hits off Sanchez in four innings Wednesday in a 29-8 smackdown. For the day, the Cardinals had a whopping 26 hits and 27 runs batted in. They were 15 for 25 with runners in scoring position. They had 38 base runners, an average of better than four per inning. In the regular season, the Cardinals never had scored as many as 15 runs in one inning, with their previous high of 12 having been set twice, most recently in 2012 in Chicago. Their regular-season high of 28 runs in a game came at Philadelphia in 1929. Swing boys.

Denver Nuggets guard Austin Rivers was ejected on Wednesday night after he faked an elbow at Indiana Pacers (LINK) guard Lance Stephenson’s head — and he’s not happy about it.

Rivers was hit with a technical foul in the fourth quarter of Denver’s 125-118 win in Indianapolis after he faked throwing an elbow at Stephenson’s head while holding the ball at the top of the key. Rivers was trying to create space before swinging the ball to the other side of the court, and jabbed toward Stephenson’s head briefly.

Rivers didn’t make contact with Stephenson, but officials still assessed a technical foul after a review. I showed Scott this morning and we were both weirded out by it. Made no sense to us (LINK)

There’s perhaps no former NFL figure that has garnered more controversy than Colin Kaepernick. Which is weird to me considering multiple athletes in the league with major assault charges etc. but hey that’s me…

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback got his start under current Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh, drafted by Harbaugh out of Nevada before becoming the franchise’s starter.

And with the Wolverines spring game coming up, he’s visiting his former head coach on campus in Ann Arbor.

But that’s not all. According to the official Michigan football Twitter account, Kaepernick will be serving as the honorary team captain for the April 2 spring game at The Big House. The game will put the maize vs. the blue team in a full scrimmage at noon EDT
