Wingstop has a new “Blazed & Glazed” flavor . . . and TGI Fridays ALSO went with the name “Blazed & Glazed” for their new chicken finger sliders meal.

Fatburger is selling its Original Fatburger for $4.20 . . . and Del Taco is selling five Chicken Cheddar Rollers for the same price.

Jack in the Box has a new “Pineapple Express” milkshake through the end of April, and you can get it at a slight discount of $4.20 today.  It’s usually about $5.  (Seth Rogen is pissed and wants people to know it has nothing to do with the movie.)

But this one’s grabbing the most headlines:  Jimmy John’s is running a promo called “How HIGH Are You?”  And the discount you get depends on your ELEVATION. If you go to GetHighWithJimmyJohns.com, it’ll tell you whether you’re “Not So High,” “Kinda High,” or the “Highest.”  And based on your elevation, you can get up to 20% off. They’re also handing out free sandwiches to people in Leadville, Colorado, because it’s the highest city in America at 10,151 feet.

JOHNNY DEPP took the stand yesterday in his $50 million defamation trial against AMBER HEARD, and denied being an abuser. Johnny is suing Amber over an op-ed piece she wrote for the “Washington Post” in 2018, claiming she was a victim of domestic violence and sexual assault. It never mentions Johnny by name, but he says it’s clearly a reference to her allegations against him.  Amber’s defense is, quite simply, that the allegations are true. Johnny’s testimony continues today, and Amber is expected to take the stand at some point as well (LINK)

It’s a good thing that filming on “The Flash” is done, because EZRA MILLER was arrested for the second time early Tuesday morning for second-degree assault. Ze allegedly “became irate” after being asked to leave a private residence, so they threw a chair in the direction of a 26-year-old woman.  She was left with a half-inch cut on her forehead. Ezra was arrested by police at a traffic stop and released a few hours later pending further investigation (LINK)

On Monday one of the men who supplied Mac Miller with the fentanyl-laced pills was finally sentenced.   Ryan Michael Reavis was sentenced to 10 years and 11 months in prison. The verdict comes six months after he reached an agreement with prosecutors to plead guilty to a single count of distribution of fentanyl. According to Rolling Stone, Reavis, 39, requested a five-year sentence, claiming he was just a middle man and had no idea that the pills he supplied were laced. Mac Miller was found dead at his San Fernando Valley, Calif., home on Sept. 7, 2018. The rapper died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.

Jason Momoa  is in final negotiations to star in the studio’s live-action Minecraft movie.  Minecraft debuted in 2011 and allows players to use blocks to create structures and worlds. The game became a sensation, reaching 100 million users just a few years after launch.   Warner Bros. has been developing a project based on the game for years.  Momoa and Warners have Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom due out in March 2023

Netflix raised prices recently.  And yesterday, they announced that they lost 200,000 subscribers . . . the first time they’ve lost users in a decade.  But they also announced that they’re rolling out a CHEAPER version . . . with ads. But it may not happen for another year or two. Netflix has always resisted the idea of an ad-supported version, but they’re embracing it now as a way of bringing in new subscribers.  Plus they’re also seeing it work for competitors like Hulu and Peacock (LINK)

As usual, the “Jackass” guys filmed so much insanity for their latest movie, that they had enough left over for another, totally original movie. And that movie, “Jackass 4.5”, hits Netflix on May 20th.  It’s a full-length movie, with all-new footage, and possibly some surprise guests. “Jackass Forever” is on Paramount+, and the Blu ray version contains more than 40 minutes of ADDITIONAL scenes and extended footage (LINK)

You know you’ve made it as an artist when you’re able to make ridiculous requests during a tour or appearance.  Like when VAN HALEN famously requested a bowl of M&Ms with the brown ones picked out for each tour stop.

Here is a list of other weird requests artists have made (LINK)

  1. Weird Al Yankovic:  He requested one “garish” Hawaiian shirt at every appearance.  Eventually he stopped when he collected too many.
  1. Cher:  She likes a separate room for her wigs.
  1. Jennifer Lopez:  She prefers an all-white dressing room to keep her mind and spirit at ease.  So, white candles, couches, tables, and flowers.
  1. Rihanna:  She likes to have a plush, animal print rug to walk barefoot on.
  1. Justin Timberlake:  He has doorknobs sanitized every two hours.
  1. Beyoncé:  She has her dressing room set to 78 degrees and likes to have well-seasoned chicken.
  1. Selena Gomez:  After her breakup with Justin Bieber in 2014, she had those on her team named Justin go by different names.
  1. Jay-Z:  During a 2009 tour, he requested SEVEN dressing rooms and high-quality peanut butter and jelly.
  1. Britney Spears:  At a 2011 London show, she requested McDonald’s cheeseburgers without the buns, 100 figs and prunes, toothpaste, fish and chips, and a framed photo of Princess Diana.
  1. Metallica:  During their 2004 tour, they requested bacon to be served with every meal.

Kim and Khloé Kardashian were not the most popular guests during a recent trip to Disneyland. Because they reportedly cut the line to ride Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Tea Party ride. They rode the attraction on their own as others waiting in line were forced to watch.   Awkward footage from the moment made it onto TikTok where the sisters were ruthlessly dragged. TikTok user @shesbrewing posted the footage. People said they had to wait an extra 30 minutes.  They reportedly paid a whopping $2,975 for a VIP tour, which gives them priority access on rides so there’s that.

David Lee Roth has weighed in on the recent Van Halen tribute tour rumors.  Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted said Alex Van Halen called him six months after Eddie Van Halen died and proposed a Van Halen “tribute tour” with the two of them and guitarist Joe Satriani.  Newsted said the idea just eventually “kinda fizzled out.”  Then, Satriani said that he had been talking to Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth about “a tour, something like that — that was going to be a true tribute to Eddie and the Van Halen legacy.”  Former Van Halen vocalist David Lee Roth has chimed in, telling a Van Halen fan site “In my mind, ‘Van Halen 4k,’ in the age of COVID is going to require two of us for every position. Joe Satriani and Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and Newsted, Alex Van Halen or Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.” When mentioning his own onstage counterpart, Roth skipped over former Van Halen vocalist Sammy Hagar, saying “Probably the only one who could do my job is Pink.”

Sports Report 1

The Blues had their win streak end at 9 games last night as the Bruins picked up the 3-2 win in overtime.  Pavel Buchnevich scored his 28th goal of the year and Robert Thomas is one away from becoming yet ANOTHER Blue with 20 goals this year.  Unfortunately – it was the Bruins who scored the third goal in OT.  Up next for the Blues – a game against the Sharks in San Jose on Thursday.  Puck drop is at 9:30PM.

The Cardinals and Marlins played in Miami last night and Adam Wainwright seemed like he was back to his Waino form.  Paul DeJong, Tommy Edman, and Tyler O’Neill all had RBI in the win.  Final score 5-1.  Two teams are at it again tonight.  The starter for the Cards hadn’t been announced as of 6AM.  First pitch is scheduled for 5:40PM.

The San Diego Padres will sport a new look in the 2023 baseball season. Well, sort of. While the uniform look won’t change, there will be an extra addition on the sleeve. The Padres announced on Tuesday that the team will wear a Motorola logo on their jerseys next year, marking the first time that an MLB squad has rocked a team sponsor on the tops. Major League Baseball is known for being slow to change. That includes both the league and a large portion of its fans. So, when the news of the Motorola partnership with San Diego broke, many were expectedly upset.  Many took to Twitter and said: “Here we go.  Full blown ads by 2025”  Another user wrote: “Welp, this sucks.”   My favorite was: “This is bad for baseball and sports in general.”  Ooooo.  Ok.

The NBA playoffs continued last night with the Heat going up 2-0 against the Hawks.  Memphis tied things up in their series with a win over Minnesota.  The Pelicans bounced back from Game 1 and tied things up against the Sun.  Tonight we have Game 2 of the Celtics/nets series and Game 3 of the 76ers/Raptors series with Philly up 2.  The Bulls/Bucks series has Game 2 of their series with Milwaukee up 1-0.

Former Lakers legend Jerry West is reportedly not happy with the way HBO’s new series, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty has portrayed his character. West’s legal team sent a letter to HBO and to the producer of the series, Adam McKay, requesting a backtracking and an apology from the network. ESPN obtained a copy of the letter from West’s lawyers stating that the show allegedly characterized West as an uncontrollable, “intoxicated rage-aholic” which “bears no resemblance to the real man” he is. The show is based on Jeff Pearlman’s book Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s. West, himself, referred to the series as a “baseless and malicious assault” on his character.

The NBA announced it fined Nets guard Kyrie Irving $50,000 for “making obscene gestures” and “directing profane language toward the spectator stands” during his team’s Game 1 loss against the Celtics in Boston on Sunday.  At halftime of the game, Irving he was caught on video telling a fan “s— my d— bitch.” And in the second half, there were multiple instances where Irving could be seen flipping his middle finger to Celtics fans. The 30-year-old got in trouble with the NBA under very similar circumstances earlier in the season when playing against another former team of his. Irving was fined $25,000 in January after he was recorded telling a Cavaliers fan, “Got y’all a championship, mother——s, still ungrateful.”

NBC officially announced its Sunday Night Football broadcast team for the 2022 season on Tuesday, featuring a new play-by-play voice and sideline reporter.  The network’s booth will feature Mike Tirico on play-by-play alongside color commentator Cris Collinsworth. Melissa Stark will handle the sideline reporting responsibilities, making her Sunday Night Football debut. Tirico will replace longtime announcer Al Michaels in the play-by-play spot after leading NBC’s studio show, Football Night in America, and working at the network in a number of other roles.

High-ranking XFL executives reportedly held a meeting with player agents Monday to lay out why its relaunch in 2023 will represent a better NFL showcase opportunity than the USFL, which started its 2022 season over the weekend.  The XFL group said it will offer players “higher salaries and better benefits” than the USFL. Spring football has failed to gain a significant foothold in the U.S. It’s a time on the sports calendar reserved for March Madness followed by the NBA and NHL playoffs along with the MLB season. Along with the salaries and benefits, the league’s executives told agents their February-to-May schedule is a better fit for players with an eye toward the NFL.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are teaming up on a movie that will tell the story of former Nike executive Sonny Vaccaro and Nike co-founder Phil Knight attempting to sign Michael Jordan to an endorsement deal in the 1980s. Affleck will serve as the project’s director along with being a writer, producer and one of the co-stars, portraying Knight. Damon will also write and produce on the project and portray Vaccaro. Per that report, “the story will focus on Vaccaro’s relentless quest to sign Jordan to what was then the third-place shoe company, a journey that took him to Jordan’s parents, and in particular his powerful, dynamic mother, as well as to former coaches, advisors, and friends.” :Jordan will not be portrayed in the film, instead serving as a “mythic figure hovering above the movie and never seen.”
