The Cities and States with the Best and Worst Drivers in America
If you asked someone what state had the WORST drivers, the answer would be easy: The state that they’re driving in . . . RIGHT NOW.
But for a more scientific answer, Consumer Affairs analyzed data from the Department of Transportation and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
Then, they ranked cities based on four factors: Crash fatalities per 100,000 people . . . the number of fatalities due to bad driving . . . DUI . . . and speeding.
“Bad driving” included stuff like: Driving the wrong way in one-way traffic . . . failing to yield . . . aggressive / careless driving . . . making improper turns . . . and recklessly changing lanes and tailgating on busy roads.
In the end, the state with the WORST drivers is: Tennessee, which has FOUR cities in the Top 20 . . . including the worst city, Memphis. The other three were: Knoxville (#12), Clarksville (#17), and Chattanooga (#19).
The 10 cities with the worst drivers are: Memphis . . . Baton Rouge, Louisiana . . . Albuquerque, New Mexico . . . Macon, Georgia . . . St. Louis . . . Cleveland . . . Detroit . . . Victorville, California . . . Hesperia, California . . . and Rockford, Illinois.
Despite having two small cities in the Top 10, California had the BEST drivers overall, along with Texas.
The 10 cities with the safest drivers are: Green Bay, Wisconsin . . . Cary, North Carolina . . . Oxnard, California . . . Bellevue, Washington . . . McKinney, Texas . . . Lynn, Massachusetts . . . Glendale, California . . . Pearland, Texas . . . College Station, Texas . . . and Henderson, Nevada.

A Kansas City woman says SKIMS LITERALLY saved her life. 22-year-old Angelina Wiley was wearing Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS when she went out on New Year’s Eve.
She was standing outside waiting for a Lyft, when a gun battle broke out nearby.
Angelina was shot FOUR TIMES, but she survived. In a TikTok video, she said, quote, “[The bodysuit] was so tight on me that it literally kept me from bleeding out. I should recommend it. I’m definitely gonna buy some more. I mean, I should wear it every day. It’s like body armor for women. Call it fate or Jesus, but Imma call it Kim.”

The Cardinals welcomed him by winning their third game in a row and the fifth in their last six games as they beat the Marlins 6-4 at Busch Stadium last night. The Cardinals (41-53) moved into a tie with the Pittsburgh Pirates for fourth place in the National League’s Central Division. Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas (6-5) allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings, and closer Jordan Hicks earned his eighth save. Cardinals signed veteran right-hander Ryan Tepera to a major-league deal Monday and removed lefty Genesis Cabrera abruptly from organization. Tepera is available out of the bullpen tonight. Cards have a week to trade Cabrera or await a team claiming him off waivers. Apparently after Saturday’s game Cabrera expressed distaste and frustration with his role on the team and his usage this past weekend. Oh and St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson “has surfaced as a potential Yankees trade target,” according to a report Monday evening by MLB.com

Oakland Athletics first baseman Ryan Noda was ejected from Monday night’s 7-0 loss to the Boston Red Sox after he appeared to draw a light line in the dirt after striking out.
Noda, after being called out swinging in the seventh inning in Oakland, swiped his bat through the dirt as he started walking toward the dugout. Home plate umpire Emil Jimenez immediately threw Noda out of the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be coming to Major League Soccer anytime soon.
Ronaldo was asked about following Lionel Messi’s move to MLS one day after Al-Nassr’s 5-0 loss to La Liga’s Celta Vigo on Monday in Portugal. Ronaldo quickly shut down that idea and even ruled out a return to Europe.
“The Saudi league is better than MLS,” Ronaldo said, via ESPN.
“I opened the way to the Saudi league, and now all the players are coming here,” he added.
Ronaldo signed a reported nine-figure deal to join the Saudi Pro League club in December, a move that was long expected after his tumultuous exit with Manchester United. Ronaldo is reportedly making more than $200 million per season playing in Saudi Arabia.
The San Francisco 49ers ownership group is now in full control of Leeds United.
Leeds team owner Andrea Radrizzani agreed to sell his majority stake in the English soccer club to 49ers Enterprises last month, the club announced on June 9. The sale was officially approved by the English Football League on Monday. 49ers Enterprises reportedly committed to buy Leeds at an evaluation of about $213 million, a number that dropped significantly after Leeds was relegated out of the Premier League earlier this year.
