“People” magazine is putting out a list of 100 Reasons to Love America. And the #1 reason is . . . DWAYNE “THE ROCK” JOHNSON. I was taking him thru some work outs and he started talked about it. There’s no word who or what else is on the list. The issue comes out tomorrow.
When it comes to buying and selling a home we often have discussed the sellers disclosure. What if anything the buyer needs to be aware of. There is a place for sale in Atlanta. Heres the numbers…11,455 sq. ft., 7-bedrooms, 12-foot ceilings and 2 kitchens. It also has 7 fireplaces, a home theater and a 4-car garage … plus a pool, spa, tree house, playhouse and tennis court. 1 pending federal trial and a handful of woman the claimed to be held against their will. If you haven’t guessed its R Kellys old place he rented for the cult allegedly. The property is infamously known as the place where Kelly allegedly kept women as part of his reputed sex cult. As the docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” detailed … some of the women claim they were forced to call him “Daddy,” and had to ask permission for everything from bathroom breaks to meals. Kelly, who is in custody in Chicago awaiting a federal trial, has denied the allegations.
Soundgarden and Chris Cornell’s widow, Vicky, reached a temporary agreement giving surviving members control over their website and social media accounts. They will ban anyone who posts threats or conspiracy theories or bullies anyone on social media. Fans immediately started asking to be “unblocked” from other Soundgarden social media sites, claiming they were blocked by Vicky.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas (link) and Megan Rapinoe (link) are going to rep Victoria’s Secret. With their mind not their body! The company’s rebranding to be more inclusive and appeal to a wider audience — the new mission: inspiring change and positivity. They will appear on a podcast and in other marketing materials. It’s slated to be a 10-episode podcast. Priyanka has worked on behalf of UNICEF since 2006. She also has a namesake foundation that helps sick children around the globe. Megan advocated for equal pay and LGTBQ+ rights ever since she’s had the soccer platform. In fact, earlier this year she testified before Congress (link), pushing for equal pay. VS’s rebrand comes nearly 3 years after the company’s chief marketing officer made a controversial comment (link) to Vogue about transgender models. He’s since left the company.
60 year old Sitcom Teflon guy is getting another tv show. George Lopez (link) is teaming up with his 25 year old daughter Mayan (link) for a new show on NBC! Lopez vs. Lopez is being described as “a working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between.” George starred in George Lopez on ABC for six seasons, running from 2002 until 2007. After the show ended, he starred in two other comedy series – FX’s Saint George and TV Land’s Lopez. He also hosted a late-night talk show for TBS.
WILL SMITH will host an hour-long variety special for Netflix later this year. It will feature celebrity guests . . . musical performances . . . comedic sketches . . . and “noteworthy conversation.” It’s being produced by Will and JADA PINKETT SMITH’s production company. There’s no title yet and no guests have been announced.
Ricky Schroder, the ’80s actor who is nowadays known for berating Costco employees (link) about mask mandates is making headlines again, this time for protesting a Foo Fighters show. The band recently gave a small live performance to a fully vaccinated crowd (link) in the Los Angeles suburb of Agoura Hills. Schroder was with a group of anti-vaccine picketers outside the venue. He also shared a meme on Facebook (link) a couple of days before the Foo Fighters’ show that depicted Grohl holding a giant syringe and wearing a shirt that said “Pharma Sellout.” It’s not exactly clear what “discrimination” or “segregation” Ricky Schroder is talking about, but best we can tell, he’s accusing Grohl and the band (and maybe even the venue) of only allowing vaccinated people in to see the show.
A young woman named Faith just graduated from high school, and her father got a whole bunch of really famous people to record well-wishes for her. They included Mark Wahlberg, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Drake Bell, Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, Kate Dennings, Jensen Ackles, Randall Park, Jonathan Groff, Joshua Bassett, Gaten Matarazzo from “Stranger Things”. . .And, perhaps most randomly of all, SIR BEN KINGSLEY. So how did Faith’s dad pull this off? Is he rich and connected? Is Faith some sort of exceptional child? Or is she ill, and this is like a Make-A-Wish-type deal? None of the above. It turns out that Pops just PUT IN THE WORK. He says, quote, “I made a list of all the actors that Faith grew up watching and I e-mailed them on Thursdays. I think that’s what my trick is: e-mailing people on Thursdays. “That’s when you get a response from people. And then I do a follow-up email on Fridays and you’re good to go.” Faith added that her dad found all the producers, publicists, and agents on LinkedIn. And when he messaged them, he told them, quote, “How I was a big fan and kind of the stuff I went through this year and how I was graduating.”

The Cardinals have now won three in a row as they beat the Marlins 1-0 in walk off fashion last night. Just for fun…here is the Spanish announce team calling the walk off last night. Tonight, the Cards are in Atlanta for a series with the Braves. John Gant gets the start. First pitch scheduled for 6:20PM.
Game 2 between the Golden Knights and the Canadiens went down in Vegas last night. The Canadiens scored 2 in the first and 1 in the 2nd….the Knights got within 1 but couldn’t tie things up. The series is tied at a game a piece. Game 3 is tomorrow in Montreal. The Lighting and Islanders have their game 3 tonight in New York. The series is currently at a game a piece.
Jeff Petry’s eye doctor needs to be flown to Canada so he can check out what the hell is happening. The Montreal Canadiens defenseman has been sidelined since suffering a hand injury in Game 3 of the team’s series against the Winnipeg Jets, but he was inserted into the lineup just ahead of the Habs’ Stanley Cup semifinal Game 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights. But what in the world is going on with his eyes? While his return to action was surprising, nobody in the world was expecting to see the absolutely terrifyingly bloodshot eyes that have since taken over the internet. Despite what his eyes suggest, he seems to be doing fine. One reporter said Petry has a subconjunctival hemorrhage, which is essentially just broken blood vessels that appear on the whites of your eyes and can be caused by a number of fairly benign factors — including side effects from certain pain and anti inflammatory medications.
Last night the Hawks came back and beat the 76ers after being down by 26 points at one point. They are saying its one of, if not the, most pathetic display from a team up more than 10 points at any point in a game. The craziest stat? If you look at the top 10 come from behind wins, 76ers coach Doc Rivers has been on the LOSING end of those games 8 times. The Hawks are currently up 3-2 in that series. Also – the Clippers stepped up and beat the Jazz last night 119-111. They are up 3-2 in that series. Tonight, we could see the Nets punch their ticket to the Eastern Finals. Tip off against the Bucks is scheduled for 7:30PM.
Crazy day in the NBA off the court as well. First, Chris Paul has entered the COVID protocol. Will he be able to be at Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals? Not sure. Two coaches also got the axe yesterday. Stan Van Gundy got fired in New Orleans and Scott Brooks, who lead the Wizards back from one of the worst starts in history…even getting them to the playoffs…got fired as well. As far as some GOOD NBA news…LaMelo Ball was voted Rookie of the Year.
The United States Women’s National team beat Nigeria 2-0 yesterday. It’s their 4th consecutive shutout win. The team will next play on July 1st and July 5th in a “send-off series.” The Olympic games will follow that on July 23rd.
NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has both ESPN and Fox bidding on his services as a TV analyst, if he’s ready to hang up his cleats for good. The free agent aced his auditions with the competing networks, leading ESPN to increase its offer. ESPN said they would have him on both their NFL and college football coverage should he sign there. Rumor is that Fox would try to use Griffin with opportunities across both levels of the sport available. It’s unclear if Griffin has a deadline to make a decision on moving to TV or what his status is in the NFL. The 31-year-old was released by Baltimore in January and has yet to find a new home.
Real Madrid announced Wednesday (link) that longtime defender Sergio Ramos will be leaving the club this summer. The club said that “an institutional act of tribute and farewell to our captain” would be held on Thursday followed by a press conference with Ramos. Ramos is a legend. His success at the club speaks for itself: 16 season, 22 total championships, and 101 goals. It’s hard to imagine Real Madrid without Ramos patrolling the back. Now, before we go putting him on a pedestal…it’s also said that he’s one of the dirtiest players in the league. However – his numbers don’t lie. Still one of the best.
