Groom charged with assaulting teen at wedding reception – 6ABC

A newlywed man is now facing a list of charges in Bucks County for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager at his own wedding. 31-year-old Matthew Aimers, from Willingboro, was arrested this past Wednesday following a violent and chaotic ordeal in Richboro last November. Police say Aimers approached a teenage employee of the Northampton County Club during his reception and propositioned her for sex. When she refused, police say he followed her into a bathroom and assaulted her. Aimers then allegedly started fighting several other people and verbally assaulting police.

Five-time Oscar nominee ALBERT FINNEY passed away Friday after what his family called a “short illness”.  He was 82.  Finney is probably best known for playing JULIA ROBERTS’ boss Ed Masry in “Erin Brockovich” . . . which netted him one of those Oscar nominations.  He was also in two of the “Jason Bourne” movies, and the Bond flick “Skyfall”. His other films include “Tom Jones”“The Dresser”, and the 1974 version of “Murder on the Orient Express”’. He played Irish gangster Leo O’Bannon in the 1990 film “Miller’s Crossing”, and he was Daddy Warbucks in the 1982 version of “Annie”. He also won an Emmy for playing Winston Churchill in the 2002 HBO movie “The Gathering Storm”.

“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” won the box office this weekend, earning $34.4 million . . . which is down quite a bit from the early projections of $50 million to $55 million. The Taraji P. Henson movie “What Men Want” debuted in second with $19 million. Liam Neeson’s new movie “Cold Pursuit” also struggled at $10.8 Million. . . possibly because of the controversy over his racial commentslast week.  “Cold Pursuit” cost $60 million to make . . . and it’s Liam’s worst opening since 2010. BUT they expected $7-10 million BEFORE the controversy so maybe its ok.

1.  NEW:  “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part”, $34.4 million.

2.  NEW:  “What Men Want”, $19 million.

3.  NEW:  “Cold Pursuit”, $10.8 million.

4.  “The Upside”, $7.2 million.  Up to $85.8 million in its 5th week.

5.  “Glass”, $6.4 million.  Up to $98.5 million in its 4th week.

6.  NEW:  “The Prodigy”, $6 million.

7.  “Green Book”, $3.6 million.  Up to $61.5 million in its 13th week.

8.  “Aquaman”, $3.3 million.  Up to $328.5 million in its 8th week.

9.  “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, $3 million.  Up to $179.8 million in its 9th week.

10.  “Miss Bala”, $2.7 million.  Up to $11.9 million in its 2nd week.

Michelle Rodriquez has apologized for defending Liam Neeson after he admitted to fantasizing about killing a random black man to avenge a friend’s rape. Rodriquez drew backlash when she insisted that Neeson isn’t a racist because he French-kissed Viola Davis in their film Windows. Many critics pointed out that sexual violence was often perpetrated by white slave owners against black enslaved women and that it didn’t mean they weren’t racist. “To my friends and colleagues and my fans and community: I want to deeply apologize for my recent choice of words, and poor use of example. In a pressure-filled situation, I defended a friend in the wrong way,” Rodriquez posted on Instagram over the weekend. I now realise how insensitive it was, and I had no intention of invoking such a terrible historical comparison. I have learned from this, and will grow from it. One Love, MRod.”

Alicia Keys kicked off the show with some girl power.  She brought out Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez, and Michelle Obama . . . who got a MASSIVE ovation. CHILDISH GAMBINO and KACEY MUSGRAVES enjoyed the “Grammys” last night. Gambino won 4 awards for “This is America”:  Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video, and Best Rap/Sung Performance.  Sadly, he wasn’t there to collect. Kacey also won 4 awards.  Her album “Golden Hour” won Album of the Year and Best Country Album.  Meanwhile, “Butterflies” won Best Country Solo Performance, and “Space Cowboy” won Best Country Song. LADY GAGA had a good night, too.  “Shallow”, from the “A Star is Born” soundtrack, won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media.   She also won Best Pop Solo Performance for “Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?)”.  CARDI B’s “Invasion of Privacy” won Best Rap Album. Ariana Grande made it clear she wasn’t happy when Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy won over the late Mac Miller’s Swimming for Best Rap Album at the Grammys. Following Cardi’s win, Grande immediately tweeted–then later deleted–messages that read, “Trash,” “F**k” and “Bulls**t.” When a fan said she shouldn’t have sent the tweets, Grande replied, “THEY INVITED HIS PARENTS OUT. NO.” The pop star later clarified her stance by tweeting, “Nothing to do with her [Cardi]. I promise. I’m sorry.” When someone else called Cardi “trash,” Grande replied, “She’s not at all and that’s not what I meant. And you know that.” Greta Van Fleet won Best Rock Album, Chris Cornell won a posthumous award for “When Bad Does Good”, and Beck won Best Alternative Album. As far as performances, there was a fantastic tribute to Dolly Parton, featuring Dolly, Kacey Musgraves, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and more. Yolanda Adams, Fantasia, and Andra Day absolutely crushed their tribute to Aretha Franklin.   Meanwhile, DRAKE got cut off while accepting his award for Best Rap Song for “God’s Plan”.  Coincidentally, or not, they cut him off right after he told the audience that they DON’T NEED GRAMMYS to be winners.

The only real rock moment last night was when the Red Hot Chili Peppers did “Dark Necessities” with Post Malone.

Bebe Rexha was upset because the audience at a pre-Grammy event wasn’t enthusiastically singing along to “Meant to Be” . . . so she launched into a rant that featured tons of swearing.

They finally showed what Will Smith will look like as the genie in “Aladdin”.  It was during a new trailer that appeared during the Grammys last night.  The consensus online is that he looks a little unsettling.

Adrian McManus, who worked for four years as Michael Jackson’s personal maid at his Neverland ranch, talked to The Daily Mail and says she has no doubt the late singer was a pedophile. She also alleges that Jackson had a large collection of VHS tapes

Last year, Cosby was found guilty of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004 at his home near Philadelphia. He is currently serving at least three years. Apparently he was moved to the general population area of the Pennsylvania prison where he’s serving time last month and is being “treated just the same as any other inmate.” According to CNN, Cosby was previously being held in a single cell in a unit adjacent to the infirmary, where he could not move as freely around the prison as other inmates. The report comes days after Cosby’s spokesman the celebrity was “not in general population,” claiming, “He does not eat in the area with other residents, he does not have a cell-mate, and he does not exercise with other residents.”

The View co-host Joy Behar is under fire after an old photo resurfaced of her using makeup to darken her skin for a Halloween costume. Behar discussed the costume during a 2016 segment of the show. She said she dressed as a “beautiful African woman” when she was 29 years old. When co-host Raven-Symoné asked whether she had on tanning lotion, Berhar replied that she wore makeup “that was a little bit darker than my skin.” She also shared that the hair was her own. The clip was tweeted out by entertainment website The Wrap on Wednesday. Behar did not address the incident on Thursday’s episode of The View.

“MacGruber” wasn’t the biggest hit when it came out in 2010 . . . but it gained a cult following on home video.  And that might be enough to turn it into a TV show. After several days pitching an eight- to 10-episode series the director hasn’t heard anything back, but it’s hard to believe there won’t be interest, because he’s got the original cast on board. That includes Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Maya Rudolph, and even Val Kilmer, who was BLOWN UP in the movie.

JENNIFER ANISTON had a blow-out 50th birthday party Saturday night at the Sunset Tower Hotel in L.A., and everybody was there . . . including BRAD PITT.  Don’t get too excited.  There’s absolutely no indication that they’re getting back together, no matter how bad you want it.  But a source says she was happy he came, and they, quote, “hugged and chatted for a bit.” So who else was there?  For starters, Brad’s other ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jennifer’s other ex, John Mayer . . . plus John’s ex, Katy Perry . . . and her current man Orlando Bloom. Plus Jennifer’s “Friends” co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox . . . Along with George and Amal Clooney, Robert Downey Jr., Ellen DeGeneres, Barbra Streisand, Kate Hudson, Laura Dern, Demi Moore, David Arquette, Pharrell Williams, and for some reason, Keith Richards.  Oh, and Reese Witherspoon . . . who partied so hard she fell down some stairs on her way out.

Prince Philip is turning in his driver’s license nearly a month after being involved in a scary car accident. “After careful consideration, the Duke of Edinburgh has taken the decision to voluntarily surrender his driving license,” a spokeswoman for Buckingham Palace says in a statement shared by The New York Times. On January 17, the 97-year-old prince was involved in a crash near the royal family’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, about 100 miles north of London. His Land Rover S.U.V. overturned after colliding with another vehicle. The driver and a passenger of the other car suffered minor injuries, while the prince was unharmed. Prince Philip formally retired from public life in 2017.

In a new profile in “Vogue” magazine, JUSTIN BIEBER admits that he was more than a year and a half into self-imposed CELIBACY before he reconnected with HAILEY BALDWIN over the summer. They had briefly dated a few years earlier. Justin says he gave up sex because he was having a “legitimate problem” with it.  Quote, “I think sex can cause a lot of pain.  Sometimes people have sex because they don’t feel good enough.  Because they lack self-worth.” But then he met up with Hailey in June, and realized how much he loved and missed her.  And he admits one of the reasons they rushed to the altar was because they couldn’t wait to GET IT ON. Justin also admits to becoming a JERK as he got more famous and started believing his own hype.  Quote, “I got very arrogant and cocky.  I was wearing sunglasses inside.” And while he admits he gave people the right to call him, quote, “frickin’ douchey,” he adds, quote, “A lot of the stuff was like . . . me peeing in a bucket, people made such a big deal of that. “Or me owning a monkey.  It’s like, if you had the money that I had, why wouldn’t you get a monkey?  You would get a monkey!”

Jerry Seinfeld, a known car collector, allegedly sent out auction notices for a Porsche — describing it as a “356 A 1500 GS/GT CARRERA SPEEDSTER FROM THE JERRY SEINFELD COLLECTION.” Asking $1.5 million. Fica Frio Ltd. bought it. All good? NOPE. The car is not authentic. He said it was 1 of 56 of this certain kind along with other stuff. The buyer says once they told Seinfeld it wasn’t authentic, they were promised a return and a refund. They say they have voicemail proof Jerry promised to make things right and so far he has not. They are now suing for the costs it incurred. It is also seeking damages “for the losses it has suffered in connection with the purchase. Seinfeld’s lawyer, Orin Snyder, told The Post in a statement that “Jerry has been working in good faith to get to the bottom of this matter.” “He has asked for evidence to substantiate the allegations,” Snyder said. They ignored Jerry and instead filed this frivolous lawsuit. Jerry consigned the car to Gooding and Company, an auction house, which is responsible for the sale. Nevertheless, Jerry is willing to do what’s right and fair, and we are confident the court will support the need for an outside evaluator to examine the provenance of the car.”

If you love coffee, and you have $36 burning a hole in your pocket, grab WILLIE NELSON Willie’s Remedy Coffee, and it’s infused with hemp oil but no THC, the stuff that gets you high. It’s a medium-dark, whole-bean blend that’s sourced from three different Colombian beans.  Willie says if you buy some you’ll be helping the farmers. Quote, “Hemp production in America was stifled for so long, but it could now make all the difference for small independent farmers.  Hemp isn’t just good for our farmers and our economy, it’s good for our soil, our environment – and our health.” The coffee is part of a line of health and wellness products called Willie’s Brand that his wife Annie is overseeing.  Here’s her pitch:  “It’s not about getting high, but it’s still all about Willie and the benefits we believe cannabis has to offer.” If you’re ready to buy, hit up WilliesRemedy.com

Work out trainer person Jillian Michaels‘ former partner, Heidi, has filed to end the couple’s domestic partnership Heidi filed docs for “dissolution with minor children” in Los Angeles Monday. The couple has a 6-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter together.  They never got married. Michaels proposed to Heidi in 2016 on the finale of her show, “Just Jillian” … the pair had been together for 9 years when they announced their split.  Michaels found her fame as a trainer on “Biggest Loser” from 2004 to 2006 … she returned to the show after a brief hiatus in 2007.

It’s hard to stay grounded when you’re a BILLIONAIRE right PAUL MCCARTNEY? His biographer Barry Miles says that just a few years ago, Paul sent a roadie out for a bottle of Whiskey . . . and gave him about $2.50 to pay for it.  The roadie had to tell Paul the price had gone up a bit since the last time he had to buy his own booze. Miles says, quote, “He desperately wanted to be a normal person . . . and was very anxious to stay in touch with what he regarded as ordinary people. “[But] in the end, you can’t be normal.  You can’t be that famous for that many years and still be in touch with ordinary people.

Smashing Pumpkins frontman William Corgan has gotten back a Stratocaster guitar that was stolen from him 27 years ago in 1992. The Strat wasn’t just any guitar: it was the one he used and got a distinctive sound with on the Pumpkins’ classic 1991 debut Gish. Corgan told Rolling Stone, “I’m literally gonna take it somewhere, and get it fixed up. And I’ll start using it. It’s a really valuable guitar to me. And I mean, the timing is sort of strange, and auspicious, and so I take it as a sign that it’s supposed to be part of what we’re doing.” Corgan said he’ll use it for the next Pumpkins LP, due out in late 2019. The guitar vanished after a June 1992 show in Detroit, when someone walked out of the venue with the instrument five minutes after the band finished its show. For 27 years it remained missing, until this past Tuesday (February 5th), when a friend contacted Corgan with a picture of a guitar that looked like the stolen instrument. Corgan verified that the guitar was his by certain distinguishing marks that only he knew about. The guitar made its way back to him via Beth James, a mother of three who doesn’t play guitar and lives about 80 minutes northwest of Detroit. She’d spotted the guitar at a Detroit yard sale and paid $200 for it because she thought it would look cool in her basement. It stayed down there for the last 12 years, until she decided to sell it to raise money to buy a hot tub. Eventually word got back to Corgan, who James said was “pretty happy” when she showed it to him. Corgan said the guitar had a special meaning to him because, as he explained, “It instantly changed the way the band sounded . . . It was the guitar that affected the way I played and I was heavily identified with the guitar.” He added, “I always felt the guitar would come back when it was time.”

This weekend the Blues took part in a home and home against the Nashville Predators.  It all started on Saturday afternoon when the Predators were in town at the Enterprise Center.  And, after a 4-3 win, the team hopped on a plane and headed to Nashville.  Yesterday morning, the two teams met again, and after a scoreless first, Alex Pietrangelo started things off in the second with a goal.  Then, Vladimir Tarasenko scored, and that was quickly followed by a Nashville goal.   After Tyler Bozak scored less than a minute after that, the 2nd period closed with the Blues up 3-1.  After two early goals in the third, the Predators had things all tied up until Vladimir Tarasenko scored to go up 4-3.  But, just past halfway in the third, the Predators again tied it up making things 4-4 and forcing overtime.  Howeveer, just 16 seconds into overtime, Tarasenko not only scored to win the game, he also completed the hat trick, and netted his 200th NHL career goal.  Final score 5-4.  Which by the way…with the win, and the Wild losing in regulation, that puts the Blues in the FIRST WILD CARD SPOT.  Unreal.   Their next game is Tuesday against the Devils at Enterprise Center.

Never, ever underestimate the power of football in America. The Alliance of American Football, a league most people probably couldn’t name one team from before this week, debuted on Saturday night. Its debut, with two games on CBS, was up against a great NBA matchup between James Harden’s Houston Rockets and Russell Westbrook’s Oklahoma City Thunder on ABC, a fantastic game that ended with a comeback Thunder win. And the AAF posted better television ratings. That’s a heck of a victory for the new football league, which generally played to positive reviews in its opening week.  Is this a huge win for the league?  Of course.  Could it have been a lot of people just checking in to see what it was all about?  Sure.  The true test will be this upcoming weekend.  As far as the actual games, the Birmingham Iron beat the Memphis Express 26-0 and the Arizona Hotshots beat the Salt Lake City Stallions 38-22.  On Sunday, the Orlando Apollo’s beat the Atlanta Legends 40-6.  And unfortunately, Moon’s favorite team the San Diego Fleet lost to the San Antonio Commanders 15-6.

Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays, has become the first pro sports stadium in North America to go cashless. The Rays said on Saturday that cash will no longer be accepted at concession stands, team stores, the ticket office and any other points of sale, with patrons able to use other payment options, including credit cards, gift cards and mobile payment apps. If someone only has cash on them, they’ll have to exchange it for gift cards. The goal of going cashless is to increase service speed and reduce lines, with the Rays saying that testing showed cashless payments took up to half the time of cash transactions. The Rays may be first in going cashless, but they won’t be the last. The NFL, for one, announced earlier this month that they want to have a cashless Super Bowl by 2025.

U.S. skier Lindsey Vonn won the bronze in the downhill at the world championships Sunday in the final race of her career, retiring as the winningest female skier ever. The bronze came five days after she crashed in the super-G in her second-to-last race. The 34-year-old Vonn had been planning to retire in December, but she decided to end her career earlier because of continued pain in both of her surgically-repaired knees. Vonn has one gold and two bronze Olympic medals, and is the first female skier to win medals at six different world championships.

BOB COSTAS is admitting that he was dropped from NBC’s coverage of last year’s Super Bowl because he’d said that concussions in football are, quote, “destroying people’s brains.” Last year, Bob insisted the decision was mutual, because he’s, quote, “long had hesitant feelings about football.”  And while that’s true, he WAS scheduled to be a part of the Super Bowl coverage. But ultimately, he wouldn’t apologize for speaking out about concussions . . . and clearly, it put a strain on his 40-year relationship with NBC Sports, which culminated in him walking away last year. After the ‘destroying people’s brain’s’ comment, Bob said he got a text from NBC Sports producer Sam Flood which said that he’d “crossed a line.”  Bob said he was thinking ‘What line have I crossed?’  And he reminded them that he’d been saying these things about football for years . . . often on NBC.  But apparently, this was one time too many.  He was told he was out of the Super Bowl. He said, quote, “I recall [them saying], ‘It’s a six-hour, day-long celebration of football, and you’re not the right person to celebrate football.’  [And] my response was not, ‘Oh please . . . change your mind.’  [It] was, ‘Yeah, I guess you’re right.'”

Over the weekend, Mizzou basketball lost to Texas A&M 68-59.  Their next game is tomorrow night against Arkansas.  SLU got destroyed by Saint Joseph’s 91-61 on Friday.  They next play George Washington on the road on Wednesday.  And Illinois beat Rutgers on the road Saturday and now take on the Buckeyes in Ohio State on Thursday.  And finally – did you feel it?  That small rumble?  Well, if you did…it wasn’t an earthquake…it was the fellas behind the wheel as the NASCAR season got underway yesterday.  The Monstery Energy Advance Auto Parts Clash took place at Dayton.  Jimmie Johnson took home the win as Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, and Alex Bowman rounded out the top 5
