She and her sister, Bella, are no longer enrolled in USC after the scandal broke. Her parents are still awaiting trial.

NBC and two production companies behind the show America’s Got Talent say they’re taking Gabrielle Union’s concerns about workplace culture seriously.  “We are working with Ms. Union through her representatives to hear more about her concerns,” said NBC, Fremantle and Syco Entertainment in a statement. However, Union seems to dispute this, retweeting a tweet laying out the right way to apologize. The tweet lists three parts of an apology; without them, the writer says, it’s “covering your own a**.” Union said, “This! This! AND THIIISSSSSSS!!!!!!” Union did not confirm whether anyone has been in contact with her representatives.

Pete Davidson has asked those attending his comedy performance at the Sydney Goldstein Theater in San Francisco to sign a non-disclosure agreement before entering the venue that carries a $1 million penalty if terms are breached.  A fan posted what she received via the Nov. 27 event page. It said she could not give “any interviews, opinions or critiques about [the show] in any form including blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or any other social networking.” The agreement also indicated that the venue was authorized to confiscate cellphones and cameras and that if users breached the terms, they would be subject to a hefty fine and legal costs. (“Accordingly, the individual agrees that in the event of breach of this agreement, individual shall pay company, upon demand, as liquidated damage, the sum of one million dollars, plus any actual out-of-pocket expense, as well as any attorney fees expended in enforcing this Agreement,”) stated the NDA agreement. Buzzfeed put together a list of  interseting behind-the-scenes facts from Christmas movies.  They’re not necessarily all that shocking, but several of them are pretty interesting.

1.  The shower scene in “Elf” wasn’t in the original script.  It was added after director Jon Favreau learned that ZOOEY DESCHANEL was a good singer.

2.  Also, the fight between WILL FERRELL and the fake Santa could only be done once, because the department store Christmas decorations took WEEKS to make.

3.  Because BRUCE WILLIS had to do a lot of things barefoot in “Die Hard”, including walking on broken glass, he actually wore fake rubber feet, which you can actually SEE if you look hard enough.

4.  In “A Christmas Story”, Flick’s tongue was suctioned by a hidden vacuum to make it look like it was stuck to the pole.

5.  Before JIM CARREY got the lead in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, EDDIE MURPHY and JACK NICHOLSON were considered for the part.

6.  “It’s a Wonderful Life” was shot in the SUMMER of 1946, and sometimes they had to shut down production because of the heat.

7.  EMMA THOMPSON wore a fat suit in “Love Actually”.

8.  In “Home Alone”, the photo of Buzz’s “girlfriend” is actually a picture of a BOY in a wig.

9.  Disney had a strict policy against hiring ex-cons, but they made an exception so that TIM ALLEN could star in “The Santa Clause” in 1994.  And “Toy Story” the following year.

10.  And on “The Santa Clause 2”, Tim stayed in character around the child actors, because some of them believed he really WAS Santa.

KID ROCK went off on OPRAH during a performance at his own Honky Tonk bar in Nashville, inviting her to do something to him sideways that normally isn’t done in that mannor.  Not surprisingly, he was HAMMERED. When he was finished, he had to be helped off stage by some kind of uniformed officer. On Friday, he said WHY he doesn’t like Oprah . . . quote, “My people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey show years ago and her people wanted me to write down 5 reasons why I loved her and her show.  I said [eff] that and her.  End of story.”

Even without all the controversial, creepy stuff, MICHAEL JACKSON was an eccentric guy . . . and now, there’s an equally eccentric musical in development about his life. The production is called “For the Love of a Glove: An Unauthorized Musical Fable About the Life of Michael Jackson, As Told By His Glove” . . . and yes, that’s exactly what it is.  The playwright says that he’d been hired by a TV network to write a story about Michael’s life . . . and he came up with a REALLY unique take.  They weren’t feeling it, so he decided to develop it for the stage on his own. He said, quote, “Everything MJ has been accused of has actually been caused by his glove, which is actually an alien from outer space, [and it] feeds on virgin boy blood.” JOHNNY DEPP is producing it, which somehow doesn’t seem surprising at all.  It doesn’t sound like he’s involved beyond that.

During a recent episode of a British reality show called “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” Caitlyn Jenner talked about Kylies security cost and her relationship with Khloe. She didn’t mention her role in The Mandalorian though.

Led Zeppelin is putting out new music early next year. The album will be called Greta Van Fleet. The band’s singer Josh Kiszka says they are very excited about the follow-up to 2018’s Anthem of the Peaceful Army. He says the new album will depart from the band’s somewhat polarizing style, which some detractors have labeled as a Led Zeppelin knock-off, calling it “the next step, I think, in the evolution and the sound of this band.” Greta Van Fleet is set to play four shows in the U.S. this month, before heading to South America to open for Metallica in April.

Evanescence covered “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac.  It’s in the launch trailer for the new “Gears of War” game “Gears 5” for Xbox.

Marilyn Manson did a cover of “The End” by The Doors. Its  for the soundtrack of the upcoming limited series The Stand. Manson also reportedly has a role in the series, which is based on Stephen King’s epic 1978 novel and will air on the CBS All Access streaming service. The book tells the story of a confrontation between the forces of good and evil in a world where most of the population has been wiped out by a superflu created in a government lab.

By now you’ve probably seen Xfinity’s new, four-minute commercial called “A Holiday Reunion”, featuring E.T. returning to Earth to chill with Elliot, played once again by HENRY THOMAS. It’s basically a four-minute rehash of the original movie, except with Elliot’s KIDS. They scream when they first see him! . . . They laugh as he awkwardly tries to assimilate to human life! . . . He eats Reese’s Pieces CUPCAKES! . . .But then E.T. gets homesick, so he recruit’s Elliot’s son and daughter to take him to his ship on FLYING BICYCLES . . . past the moon, of course.  But before he leaves, he puts his glowy finger up to the son’s chest and says, “I’ll be right here.” You know, just like he did to Elliot 37 years ago.  SO touching!!! Of course, absolutely none of this has a single thing to do with Xfinity.  They just toss the half-baked slogan “Reconnect for the Holidays” in at the end.

The Blues had a couple games over the weekend, and picked up a couple wins over the weekend as well.  Now –they did have a loss as well with Oscar Sundqvist going down with an injury, but a win against Dallas 3-1 started the weekend, and after an earlier win against Tampa, the Blues looked to make in 3 in a row as they took on the Penguins on Saturday.  And that’s exactly what they did.  After a 5-2 final, the Blues extended their win streak to 3.  Justin Faulk scored his first goal as a Blue, and after being recently called up, Nathan Walker scored his first as well.  Up next for a the Blues, a game against the Blackhawks tonight in Chicago.  Puck drop is at 7PM.

A couple of area high schools took home state championships over the weekend.  DeSmet took home the 2019 Missouri Class 6 state football champions after beating Joplin.  That means in this calendar year, DeSmet won state in Baseball, Soccer, and now Football.  Over on the Illinois side, East St. Louis won their 9th State Championship beating Crystal Lake 43-21.  Its East Saint Louis’ 9th state title.

The Calgary Flames have a new head coach, after Bill Peters resigned on Friday, just four days after a former player said Peters used racist slurs against him after a minor league game 10 years ago. Former player Akim Aliu had claimed that Peters “dropped the N bomb several times towards me in the dressing room in my rookie year because he didn’t like my choice of music,” and Peters confirmed the incident in a letter of apology, saying it happened “in a moment of frustration.” Geoff Ward has been named as Calgary’s interim coach. Since Aliu’s accusation, other incidents involving Peters have come to light, including allegations he punched and kicked players while he was head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes.

The University of Illinois will take on Miami tonight.  Tip off is scheduled for 6PM.  SLU beat SIUC yesterday 69-60 at Chafietz.  Their next game is Sunday against Tulane.  Mizzou is off until tomorrow when they take on Charleston Southern. Mizzou football beat Arkansas 24-14 on Friday, and then there was some pretty big Mizzou news…After the team finished their season at 6-6…head coach Barry Odom, who just signed an extension last year, was fired.  Odom went 25-25 in 4 seasons at his alma matter.  He was a defensive coordination before taking on the head coaching position.  Mizzou started at 5-1.  And then tumbled quick.  Until they find a replacement, Brick Haley the D-Line coach will be interim head coach.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Josh Shaw was suspended indefinitely — through at least the 2020 season — for betting on NFL games on multiple occasions this season. Shaw has not played a down this season for the Cardinals. He was put on injured reserve on Aug. 25 with a shoulder injury. He can file an appeal of the suspension within three days. The NFL’s investigation into Shaw did not uncover evidence that indicated he used inside information or that any game was compromised. The NFL also announced that Shaw’s teammates, coaches and other players around the league were not aware of Shaw’s gambling. Shaw has not been around the Cardinals much this season.

An Indiana high school football coach died Monday after suffering a stroke during a playoff football game last week. Phillip Bowsman had coached at West Washington High School for the last 16 seasons. He suffered a stroke due to a blood clot while coaching in the semi-state finals game against Indianapolis Lutheran. West Washington lost, 49-0.  The school district canceled classes Monday and Tuesday and offered counseling to those who were grieving the coach’s death. Bowsman, who was in his 40s, was with the school for 19 years as a health and physical education teacher. He had been the high school’s athletic director for the last seven.

A woman has been charged with attempted homicide in the stabbing of NFL wide receiver Terrelle Pryor at his Pittsburgh apartment early Saturday morning. Pryor, 30, was reportedly at his apartment when he was stabbed in the shoulder and chest. Pryor, who was also charged in the case, was taken to a hospital around 4:30 a.m. following a dispute with “mutual combatants”.  Cops said 24-year-old Shalaya Briston was charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault, while Pryor faces a charge of simple assault. Although he was initially said to be in critical condition, Pryor is now stable. He did have surgery yesterday, and as of late Sunday, Pryor was out of surgery and detectives were waiting to speak to him when he fully wakes up.

And finally – Many joked about curses when a black cat ran across the field during a Cowboys-Giants game during Week 9 of this season, but it might not be a joke after all. With the Lions loss Thursday on Thanksgiving, a fan discovered that NFL teams named after cats (Lions, Panthers, Bengals and Jaguars) are winless, 0-12 in fact since that cat made it’s Monday Night Football appearance.
