Florida man accused of giving beer to an alligator – USAToday

A Florida man is accused of enticing an alligator to bite his arm and pouring beer into its mouth after his friend caught the reptile.

Timothy Kepke, 27, of Hobe Sound and Noah Osborne, 22, of Stuart were arrested Oct. 3. Each was charged with unlawfully taking an alligator, a felony.

According to a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission report, a complaint was recieved in August about Kepke holding an alligator. A video apparently showed Kepke trying to get the alligator to bite his arm and giving beer to the reptile, after which, the alligator reacted aggressively. Officers said they went to Kepke’s home on Sept. 17 and Kepke told them he was the person in the video.

Is This a Scandal? Ellen DeGeneres Is Now Defending Her Friendship With George W. Bush – TWTTR

Something SCANDALOUS happened during the Green Bay Packers / Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday:  ELLEN DEGENERES was shown on TV sitting in a private suite with GEORGE W. BUSH. And she’s a gay Hollywood liberal, and he’s a conservative Republican.  So of course they’re supposed to be enemies.  Here is Ellen on Ellen talking about it

As a New Yorker should you NOT fall for a very New York scam?  Alec Baldwin did.  He and his wife Hilaria bought what they thought were $40 tickets for a “boat tour” of the Statue of Liberty. He shared a picture of the “Tours R Us” ticket, writing: “We are escorted to a shuttle bus. To New Jersey! I kid you not. We paid. Then we read the tickets. NO ON EVER MENTIONED NEW F***ING JERSEY!!! This is a scam.” Baldwin picked the ticket up at the South Ferry.

Julia and Todd Chrisley have been proven innocent of Georgia tax evasion charges. The Chrisleys, best known for their reality show Chrisley Knows Best, had been the subject of a two-year tax investigation. They were accused of underpaying taxes from 2008-2016. In fact, the Chrisleys were able to prove that they overpaid four of those years and only owe less than $100,000 for an incorrect filing one year. “Julie and I knew all along that we had done nothing wrong and that when the facts all came out, we would be fine,” said Todd.

Late Rapper Lil Peep’s mother is suing his talent company and record label for negligence, breach of contract and wrongful death. Liza Womack is suing First Access Entertainment and certain individuals she says “fostered, promoted and encouraged” drug use to control the artist. He  overdosed on a tour bus and died in 2017. Among other charges, the lawsuit claims Belinda Mercer, tour manager, had a sexual relationship with the rapper and provided him with ketamine. Also, the record label “had the power, they had the influence and control over HIS career, and specifically this tour. There are duties associated with having that type of control.” Womack said, “What HE had to live through is actually horrifying to me, and I’m sure he’s not the only person his age in this situation.”

The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney slammed practically all aspects of the music industry, including streaming services, satellite radio, ticket bundling, and even the Grammys. As for the actual Grammy Awards, he isn’t a fan

Joker snagged $9.7 million, the best Monday ever in October, for a total haul of $105.9 million. It beat Venom’s Monday record from last year of $9.63 million.

Plus the movie has apparently inspired people to search for “Joker”-related naughty content on Pornhub. Supposedly, Pornhub got a massive spike in searches over the weekend . . . and there were more than 741,000 searches involving the word “JOKER” in the first four days following the movie’s release.  The biggest surge came Sunday when Pornhub saw 291,628 searches for joker or clown-related porn. Also, Pornhub did say that there was a spike in ‘Harley Quinn’ searches when “Suicide Squad” came out . . .And that character, played by Margot Robbie, is the most popular movie or game character on their site, with over 10 million searches last year alone.

Judd Nelson, star of The Breakfast Club, said he has no problems with the film from 1985,. Molly Ringwald, his love interest in the film, did a New Yorker editorial where she mentioned that Nelson’s character sexually harassed her character throughout the movie. She was uncomfortable with that. Nelson said  it’s a product of its time. Nelson is due to perform in a play in Delaware later this week.

A “John Wick” spin-off is in the works.  It’s called “Ballerina”, and it’s about a young female assassin who wants revenge against the people who killed her family. The movie is on “a fast track,” and it’ll be directed by Len Wiseman, who did the first two “Underworld” movies . . . “Live Free or Die Hard” . . . and the 2012 version of “Total Recall”. It isn’t clear if KEANU REEVES will make a cameo, but he will executive produce.  Keanu is also working on a FOURTH “John Wick” movie, but it won’t be out until 2021.

It came back as a movie in 2006 (with Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx).  But that’s not enough. It ran from 1984-1990. DON JOHNSON, who played Sonny in the original, is down

Courtney Love’s Hole was one of the most culturally significant alternative rock bands of the ’90s, and their output has remained mostly contained within that decade. Their first three albums were released in the ’90s, although they reunited for a fourth album, Nobody’s Daughter, in 2010. While that reunion only lasted a couple years, it looks like another comeback could be on the horizon: Love has shared a new photo of a rehearsal with the band. The picture shows Love performing with drummer Patty Schemel, who was in Hole from 1992 to 1998, and bassist and backup vocalist Melissa Auf der Maur, who was with the band from 1994 to 1999. Between 1992 and 1999, Hole released their most successful albums, 1994’s Live Through This and 1998’s Celebrity Skin.Love captioned the photo, “Whose rusty af? Ladies !!! #hole #rehearsal # tonight #hollywood

The Cure have spent the better part of this year celebrating the 30th anniversary of Disintegration on the road with full album performances and festival appearances all over the world. However, the busy schedule has hardly kept them from working on new material.

According to frontman Robert Smith, the band currently has not one, not two, but three new albums in various stages of development. One of those could see release very soon — as in within the next few months.

If you’re into the “Scream” movies, this is an experience you won’t want to miss:  There’s going to be a party Halloween night at the house that was used in the original 1996 movie. Tickets are 200 bucks and only 150 are available.  Also, you HAVE TO be in costume . . . but not necessarily a “Scream” costume. Someone actually lives in the house, but it’s been rented out this weekend, and you can take selfies all over . . .   and there will be movies ON VHS in the living room and Jiffy Pop on the stove. Of course, you’ll have to be able to get to Santa Rosa, California . . . because that’s where the house is.

Sony’s PlayStation 5 gaming console will drop at the beginning of the 2020 holiday season. Among the new titles: Death StrandingThe Last of Us Part II, and Ghost of Tsushima.

Yesterday I mentioned David Draiman from the band Disturbed wants to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. He says it’s about time rock singers were represented. Well I’ll assume he is in now that Corey Taylor from Slipknot is giving his full support. He Tweeted, quote, “It’s long overdue for rock and metal to be represented at the Super Bowl.  Let’s make our voices heard in support of our brother David Draiman of Disturbed and let the NFL know we want him to sing the anthem.”

The Beatles Abbey Road debuted in 1969 but it is back in the Billboard 200’s top 10 for the first time since 1970, jumping from #71 to #3 on the chart thanks to its 50th anniversary reissue. The LP sold 81,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. for the week with 70,000 of that total in pure album sales. Meanwhile, says Abbey Road went all the way to #1 on the latest UK chart, setting a new record for the album with the longest time between #1 positions at 49 years and 252 days. The Beatles previously held that record thanks to Sgt. Pepper, which had a gap of 49 years and 125 days between topping the chart, when its 50th anniversary re-release reached #1 in June 2017.

The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song is a big deal.  Some previous recipients include Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Stevie Wonder,  Billy Joel, and Tony Bennett. HE released a statement calling it the “highest honor” . . . and that he’s “truly humbled.”  He’ll receive the prize at an all-star tribute concert next March in Washington, D.C.   And get this:  At 57, he is the youngest person to ever receive it. He turns 58 in February….GARTH BROOKS. On a completely DIFFERENT story about Garth.  TRISHA YEARWOOD played a game of Fish & Dish with “People” . . . and they asked what her what gets him all horned up. How does she romance him? Pizza

Today the Cardinals and Braves will play Game 5 of their NLDS series in Atlanta.  Winner moves on, loser goes home.  The Cards had a fantastic 10th inning walk off win in St. Louis on Monday, and now the series shifts to ATL for the deciding Game 5.  As far as on the mound, it’s a rematch of Game 3.  Jack Flaherty will take the mound for the Cardinals.  First pitch is scheduled for 4PM.

The winner of that series will take on the winner of the Dodgers/Nationals series.  That series has also came down to game #5.  Those two teams will meet today in LA.  The only other series that is going on is the ALDS between the Rays and Astros.  Last night Tampa beat Houston 4-1 to force Game 5.  Game 5 will take place tomorrow night in Houston.  First pitch is scheduled for 6PM.

Monday night’s Cardinals game was a thriller, but fewer people were in the stands than a typical regular-season game. Disrespect from TV network executives may be to blame. Despite being a “can’t miss game,” thousands of Cardinals fans did. Total paid attendance for the NLDS Game 4: 42,203. It was the first-ever non-sell out playoff game in Busch III history. Even fewer walked though the gates. The maximum capacity at Busch III is just under 46,000. At it’s peak, according to data from Nielson, 45% of all TVs turned on in the St. Louis area during the 10th inning, had the Cardinals game on their TV.

Yadier Molina’s walk-off sacrifice fly in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Braves was just one more in a long line of Molina moments for Cardinals fans over the years. This one comes with an extra cool tidbit, though. Molina’s brother, Bengie, who had a long and succesful career as a player as well, was on the Spanish call of the game with play by play man Polo Ascencio. The two have been doing games for a few years, but this is the first time they have had the chance to do it in the playoffs.  Check out the call.

The mayor of Oakland confirmed in a television interview Tuesday that Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred warned city officials that the Athletics could relocate to Vegas if the city didn’t drop its lawsuit to stop Alameda County from selling its share of the Coliseum to the team. Oakland and Alameda County share ownership of the Coliseum and the city wants Alameda County to sell its half of the stadium to the city instead of to the A’s. The San Francisco Chronicle reports the city can’t match the A’s offer of $85 million for the venue.

Sam Darnold has officially been cleared to play and will back under center for the Jets this weekend as they take on the Cowboys.  Darnold has been out with mono for 4 weeks now.  The main reason he was out…an enlarged spleen, which is an effect from the illness.  He said that he’s ready to roll and feels better than ever.

Some NHL teams placate their fans with free hats or magnetic schedules.  The Philadelphia Flyers, however, know what their fans really want: the opportunity to smash a flat-screen television with a hockey stick. The Flyers announced on Tuesday that the Wells Fargo Center now has a “Disassembly Room,” the first-ever “rage room” inside a major professional sports arena. Located behind a “hidden” library wall entrance in the team’s new “Assembly Room” lounge and bar area, the anger cave allows Flyers fans to take out their aggression on household items like TVs, dishware, bottles and guitars using a variety of tools like baseball bats, orange and black sledgehammers and, of course, hockey sticks. Fans wear protective gear during the session, and there’s also an observation room.

The U.S. women’s team won the all-around title at the world gymnastics championships on Tuesday in Germany, netting a record 21st medal for team member Simone Biles. The medal, which was Biles’ 15th career gold. The victory was also the seventh consecutive team title at an Olympics or world championships for the U.S. Russia came in second yesterday and Italy was third. Biles posted the best individual scores on the vault, balance beam and floor, and will be competing in the individual all-around final on Thursday.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver on Tuesday defended Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey’s right to speak freely, responding during a Tokyo news conference to the uproar in China over Morey’s tweet last Friday in support of the pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong.
