Four Things to Do Right Before a Job Interview – BusinessInsider

57 year old Heather Locklear is back in rehab, living in an in-patient facility. She went back about 2 weeks ago. Same place as before. She left December 22nd for Xhristmas and never went back.  Besides her mental health her problem is booze and pills. She has been to rehab 20-25 times.  She had a sober coach living with her. She paid them $10,000 a week, and they absolutely haven’t worked for her. She had a 5250 [5150 is a 72 hour hold, 5250 is a 14 day hold]. And nobody did a conservatorship, nobody stepped up. Locklear’s former rep said that they are no longer in communication with the actress.

So what’s going on with BRITNEY SPEARS?  Someone with inside knowledge says there’s NO TRUTH to the talk that Britney is being held or manipulated against her will but he thinks it’s possible that Britney will NEVER PERFORM AGAIN. And he may know. It’s Larry Rudolph who has been Britney’s manager for 20 years, and he says, quote, “As the person who guides her career . . . from what I have gathered it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again.” He adds, quote, “She’s taking time to regroup and get her head together.  She’s putting herself ahead of everyone else, and I’m proud of her for that.  If she never works again, she never works again.” “If she comes back strong and full of desire and passion and wants to do it, great.  If she takes off six months or six years, it’s totally fine.  To me, it’s about her finding her happy place.”

Part of those problems stem from being so loved. Maybe you lose track of reality. SELENA GOMEZ is the third most followed person on Instagram.  She has more than 150 million followers.  So she has certainly enjoyed the benefits of social media.  But that doesn’t mean she has to LIKE it. She said she’s worried about the effect social media is having on her generation.

Professional mess, Former NBA star and husband to Khloe Kardashian for 4 years Lamar Odom says in his new book Darkness to Light that he has slept with more than 2,000 women.  “I am a sex addict.” He adds, “There were too many strippers to count. It wasn’t a big deal, but often I would pay them. I never thought less of them.” Odom also reveals that he cheated on Kardashian throughout their marriage, noting, “I wanted to take it back, but you can’t. [I] wanted to hide it. But that sick sin was hard for me to hide…I had a problem.” Darkness to Light is out May 28.

“Game of Thrones” fans waited long enough for Season 8 . . . and now that it’s here, a lot of them are underwhelmed.  Somebody was angry enough to start a petition, asking HBO to redo the whole season with, quote, “competent writers.” The petition goes on to say, quote, “David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. “The series deserves a final season that makes sense.  Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!” The petition originally called for 150,000 signatures, but they’ve already surpassed 200,000 . . . and now they have their sights set on 300,000.

KELLY RIPA has made it known that she’s not a fan of “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette”.  On “Live with Kelly and Ryan” Tuesday, she called the shows DISGUSTING and GROSS. Well, the show is fighting back. Host CHRIS HARRISON Tweeted, quote, “Look out #BachelorNation, Kelly Ripa is coming after you and your ‘disgusting’ Monday night habit.” And creator Mike Fleiss said, quote, “Easy, Kelly Ripa.  The ‘Bachelor’ franchise pays your salary.” They’re all part of the ABC family.

CBS released their schedule for the upcoming TV season, and it features four dramas, and four comedies.

-Another legal drama called “All Rise“.  It’s a legal drama about, quote “the chaotic, hopeful, and sometimes absurd lives of . . . judges, prosecutors, and public defenders.”

-There’s a comedy with Billy Gardell from Mike and Molly called “Bob (Hearts) Abishola“, which is about a man who suffers a heart attack and falls in love with his nurse, a Nigerian immigrant named Abishola.

-There’s a sitcom with Pauly Perrette called “Broke” Pauly is a single mom scarping by then her sister who married wealthy has to move in when rich husband is cut off from his trust fund.

-There’s “Carol’s Second Act“, a sitcom where Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Ramon plays a mom who retires from teaching after raising her two children . . . and then decides to launch a late-in-life career as a DOCTOR.

-There’s a drama called “Tommy“, which stars Edie Falco as a New York cop who moves to Southern California to become the LAPD’s first female chief of police.

-There’s a comedy called “Unicorn” about a recently-widowed father of two daughters, who, quote, “navigates both the dating world and the parenting world with the help of a tight-knit group of friends and family.”

-CBS has renewed “Madam Secretary” “48 Hours”“60 Minutes”“Amazing Race”“Big Brother”“Blue Bloods”“Bull”“Criminal Minds”“FBI”“God Friended Me”“Hawaii Five-0”“MacGyver” . . .“Magnum P.I.”“Man with a Plan”“Mom”“NCIS”“NCIS: Los Angeles”“NCIS: New Orleans”“The Neighborhood”“SEAL Team”“Survivor”“S.W.A.T.”“Undercover Boss”, and “Young Sheldon”.

The CBS shows not coming back are “The Big Bang Theory”“Elementary”“Fam”“Happy Together”“Life in Pieces”“Murphy Brown”“The Red Line”, and “Salvation”.

There are a few CBS shows still in limbo:  “The Code”“Million Dollar Mile”“Ransom”“Whistleblower”, and “The World’s Best”.

There’s a new “Ghostbusters” movie in the works, and it’s a continuation of the ’80s franchise . . . but with new blood taking center stage.  So what about the old guard? Yes, it’s time to start the endless speculation over which members of the original cast are coming back. Well, we may not have to speculate about BILL MURRAY.  He says he’s in . . . if they ask him.  And he’ll do it for the same reason he did the recent all-female reboot . . . to show his support. He says, quote, “I was in that movie just because they asked me, and I knew if I said no, I was saying I didn’t support that movie. “I felt like, OK, I’m going to support them because I support them as people.  So I did that one and I would do this next one.”

Everybody wants to know who’ll be the next James Bond.  But maybe that choice should have been made sooner.  Because the current Bond, old guy, DANIEL CRAIG, just injured himself.  Running. He was filming a scene in Jamaica when it happened, and now production on the 25th bond flick is on hold. A source says, quote, “He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly.  He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle.”  Craig is 51, which really isn’t THAT old.

Less than two years after his death, Tom Petty’s daughters have slapped his widow with a lawsuit. They want $5 million from Dana Petty for allegedly mismanaging Petty’s business–Petty Unlimited. They say that she has been withholding assets, and diverting them to another company she set up. Problems for some time now, with Dana filing documents in April to require a consensus decision instead of a majority decision for “significant” matters, so as to prevent the two daughters from teaming up against her. She is calling the latest lawsuit “misguided and meritless.” The web says Mr Petty was worth about $95 million at time of death.

Former Blink-182 member Tom DeLonge admits that he’s open to rejoining the band. “I get it–trust me, I love Blink and it’s given me everything in my life,” He says he palns on doing it in the future. But with Angels and Airwaves new music and a headlining tour coming he doesn’t have time.

I am officially going to stop worrying about the health of Eric Clapton. He played a three-night stand at London’s Royal Albert Hall starting Monday night.  He played, for the first time ever, an outstanding cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain.” This is the first Prince cover he has ever done For the first time ever, the same song is sitting at #1 on all four Billboard rock airplay charts at the same time.  That’s Alternative, Mainstream Rock, Adult Alternative and Rock Airplay charts. The song? The Black Keys’ “Lo/Hi”

Last night at Enterprise Center it was Game 3 of the Western Conference Final.  The Blues and Sharks were all tied up in the series at a game a piece.  And, the Sharks went up in the first 2-0.  Alexander Steen made it 2-1 in the second, but seconds later a Sharks goal put them up by 2 again. Then, Vladimir Tarasenko scored, followed by two goals from David Perron to make it 4-3 Blues after 2.  It stayed that way until less than a minute to go in regulation when the Sharks tied things up.  And we were headed to overtime.  And then…all hell broke loose.  And, like it or not, according to the NHL rule book, a hand pass is not a reviewable play and that’s the final 5-4 Sharks.  They are now up 2-1 in the series.  Game 4 is tomorrow night at Enterprise Center.  Puck drops at 7PM.

Tonight, we have a chance to see the first time punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final.  The Boston Bruins have the opportunity to sweep the Carolina Hurricanes with Game 4 from Carolina tonight.  Puck drops at 7PM.

So, just as a little fun thing ….after the controversy from last nights Blues game I looked it up, according to ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and Bleacher Report, what is the most controversial BLOWN call in NHL history?  And if you think about it for a second it should be easy.   1999.  Sabres vs. Stars.  3rd overtime.  Yes, Brett Hull and the infamous goal from the crease.

The Cardinals got shut out of the Braves last night 4-0.  It was a pretty quiet/boring night for the Cards.  They look to rebound tonight as the two teams are back at it.  Adam Wainwright gets the start and first pitch is scheduled at 6:20PM.

The Milwaukee Bucks picked up a win in Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals as they beat the Toronto Raptors 108-100.  Tonight we have Game 2 of the Western Conference final with the Warriors up 1 game to 0 in that series.  Tip off is scheduled for 8PM.

Tonight, the United States Women’s National team will play a tune up match against New Zealand at Busch Stadium.  Kick off is scheduled for 7PM.  If you aren’t heading down to the game you can watch it on ESPN2.   The last time the women were on the field was Sunday and they beat South Africa 3-0.

Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco has no plans to focus on taking rookie quarterback Drew Lock under his wing this season. Speaking to reporters after Denver’s first day of organized team activities Monday, Flacco said his priority is winning games, not mentoring the Broncos’ second round NFL draft pick. “I got so many things to worry about. I’m trying to go out there and play good football. I’m trying to go out there and play the best football of my life. As far as a time constraint and all stuff, I’m not worried about developing guys or any of that. That is what it is, and like I said, I hope he does develop. But I don’t look at that as my job. My job is to go win football games for this football team.” Flacco added that, because he is learning a new offense, Lock would have more to gain from the offensive coordinator.

Rookie QB Kyler Murray’s first autograph as a Cardinal was auctioned off by the league for a record-setting $3,450. Bidding began at just $150. The No. 1 overall draft pick autographed the since-auctioned-off helmet just moments after hearing his name called by Arizona, signing his name along with the message “Go Cards!” The proceeds are going back to the football program at Allen High School, where Murray graduated from in 2014, marking the second year that NFL Auction proceeds went back to draftees’ own high school football programs. The draft helmet that received that highest bid last year belonged to Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, which sold for $2,030. No. 2 draft pick Nick Bosa’s helmet from this year went for $850.

The disappointing career of EJ Manuel has come to an end after he retired from the NFL. The No. 16 overall pick from the 2013 draft by the Buffalo Bills has quit just three months after he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs to back up Patrick Mahomes. Manuel started 17 games over four seasons with Buffalo before signing with the Oakland Raiders prior to the 2017 season to back up Derek Carr. His run in Oakland lasted only one season as he was cut before the next year following the team’s acquisition of AJ McCarron. If this is truly the end for Manuel’s NFL career, his final numbers include 30 games played with 18 starts, 343 of 590 passes completed for 3,767 yards, 20 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.  How is the elite QBs from the class of 2013 doing?  Out of the 11 drafted, zero are starters and most aren’t even on NFL teams currently.

Edwin Jackson was acquired by Toronto from Oakland for cash on Saturday and would set a record by pitching for 14 major league teams when he makes his Blue Jays debut. A 35-year-old right-hander, Jackson would be appearing in his 17th big league season. He signed a minor league contract with Oakland last month and was 1-0 with a 6.75 ERA in three games, two at Triple-A and one at Class A. He is expected to report to the Blue Jays and start at San Francisco on Wednesday. Jackson has gone 104-123 with a 4.60 ERA in 394 games. He made his big league debut with the  Dodgers in 2003 and also pitched for Tampa Bay, Detroit, the White Sox, Arizona, St. Louis, Washington, the Cubs, Atlanta, San Diego, Miami, Baltimore and Oakland.
