How Is He Alive? A Drunk Driver Just Blew a .66 on the Breathalyzer – theSmokingGun

We’ve got a story here about a guy who wasn’t just too drunk to DRIVE . . . arguably, he was too drunk to LIVE.

The cops in Pinellas County, Florida pulled over 50-year-old Ricardo Portillo-Gonzalez on Sunday afternoon after they got several calls about him driving drunk.

And when they gave him a Breathalyzer test . . . yeah, those reports were right.

Because Ricardo blew a .66 on his first try, then a .64 on his second.

Those results are both EIGHT times the legal limit.

For reference, a .40 level is considered potentially fatal . . . and Ricardo was LONG past that.

The police report has him listed at 200 pounds.  We did the math, and for him to have a .66 blood-alcohol level, he would need to have put back about 33 to 35 “drinks” in one hour . . . which is more than one full bottle of 100 proof hard liquor.

But somehow, he didn’t die . . . or even need to go to the hospital.  He was arrested for drunk driving, and the cops kept him overnight until he posted bond and sobered up.

Kevin Spacey Not Seen In Year

Brooklyn rapper TEKASHI 6ix9ine was arrested on racketeering charges, and is apparently facing a LIFE SENTENCE behind bars.  He’s been booked on six charges. The most serious one is for discharging a firearm while committing a crime, which carries a mandatory minimum of 25 years in prison, and it can be ramped up to a possible life sentence.  He’s been denied bail. Prosecutors say Tekashi has been involved in a LOT of acts of violence . . . including drug deals, armed robberies and shootings . . . to protect his gang’s drug business, retaliate against rival gangs, and promote his rep on the streets. The feds also say Tekashi and associates were hawking heroin, fentanyl, MDMA and marijuana all over NYC.

Heather Locklear recently completed a stint in rehab after being 5150’d several months ago. Update, Heather Locklear has been placed on a psychiatric hold again after her therapist determined she was having another mental breakdown. Heather was at her home Sunday afternoon when her therapist and lawyer realized she desperately needed help. Someone called 911 and EMTs arrived, and Heather was taken to a hospital.  There are reports she assaulted her boyfriend, but other sources say her BF was not there and had not been there for days. This was an ongoing mental health issue that resurfaced over the weekend. I do not know if alcohol was involved, but no crime was committed. The medical call was simply placed as a health precaution.

PARIS HILTON’s engagement is off.  She and her fiancé Chris Zylka broke up a few weeks ago.  They had been engaged since January.  A source says, quote, “The relationship moved very fast, and she realized it wasn’t right for her. Last night Paris posted a picture of herself as MARILYN MONROE, as most people do when an engagement ends.  (net worth of $4 million dollars. He became widely famous for his role on the HBO drama The Leftovers which ran from 2014 – 2017. He was a main cast member of The Leftovers.)

MANDY MOORE had kind of an up-and-down weekend.  She got married, which was cool.  But the wedding happened just hours after her cat DIED IN HER ARMS. She was a rescue cat named Madeline, and she died Saturday night of heart failure. But the wedding went on as planned Sunday.  Mandy married Taylor Goldsmith from the rock band Dawes.  They did it in Mandy’s backyard in front of about 50 people, including her “This Is Us” co-stars Milo Ventimiglia, Chrissy Metz, and Sterling K. Brown . . . plus Minka Kelly and Mandy’s ex, Wilmer Valderrama.

FRANKIE MUNIZ had a REALLY rough time last week . . . and it started with him flying to France to go to his uncle’s funeral.  That’s bad on its own, but when Frankie got home, his house was FLOODED. And it wasn’t caused by storms, a plumbing problem, it was his CAT.  He Tweeted, quote, “I arrived home . . . to find four [floors] of my five-story brownstone home under three feet of water.  Everything I own, destroyed.  Every wall, piece of artwork, personal photos, furniture . . . all because my cat accidentally turned on a sink a few days ago while we were gone. “I’m devastated and exhausted from a tough week . . . I’ve cried more yesterday and today than my whole life combined.  Forgive me for venting.” He also added, quote, “I know this sounds ridiculous, but I swear it’s true.  You wouldn’t believe the destruction.”  Apparently, Frankie’s CATS survived, because he later playfully joked about one named Zzyzx being the culprit.  In case you were wondering, judging by Frankie’s social media feed, he was gone for about six days. He did bring it back to the good by getting engaged to Paige Price.

You rarely see Oscars being bought and sold, because the Academy is totally against it.  And they have a rule that all winners have to offer to sell their Oscars back to the Academy for $1 before they can sell them to anyone else. And of course, if that situation ever arose, the Academy would ALWAYS spend the buck to get the statue back. But that rule was only instituted in 1951 . . . so any Oscars won before that are fair game.  And three of them are now up for grabs. Two are Best Picture Oscars . . . the 1936 award for Clark Gable’s version of “Mutiny on the Bounty”, and the 1948 statue for “Gentleman’s Agreement”, a Gregory Peck movie where he pretends to be Jewish to expose anti-Semitism. There’s also an Art Direction Oscar for 1950’s “Sunset Boulevard”. They’re hitting the block at an auction in Los Angeles on December 11th.  The two Best Picture Oscars are expected to pull down six figures each.

A PG-13 version of Deadpool is coming to theaters on December 12th.  It’s called ‘Once Upon a Deadpool‘, and it has some new scenes with Fred Savage that parody “The Princess Bride

Bohemian Rhapsody has become the second-highest grossing music bio of all-time earning $127 million domestically so far.  Only one bigger was Straight Outta Compton–which made $161 million over its domestic theatrical run in summer 2015. Bohemian Rhapsody added $15 million this weekend to surpass the Johnny Cash bio Walk the Line on the all-time list. That 2005 film, with its $119 million domestic box office total, was #1 on Box Office Mojo’s list of top-grossing music bio for nearly a decade until it was unseated by Straight Outta Compton. Bohemian Rhapsody, which stars Rami Malek as the late Freddie Mercury, has made $256 million globally. has released their annual list of ‘The Highest Paid Women in Music

  1. Katy Perry, $83 million
  1. Taylor Swift, $80 million
  1. Beyoncé, $60 million

  1. Helene Fischer, $32 million  (Who?!?  She’s a big deal in Germany.)
  1. Celine Dion, $31 million
  1. Britney Spears, $30 million

Others who didn’t make the cut, but still made eight figures include: Janet Jackson, Halsey, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, and Madonna.

If you’re an Uber driver, you’re supposed to keep your car clean.  That’s even MORE important if there’s even a slight chance one of your passengers might be MARTHA STEWART. Martha took her FIRST Uber recently in New York City, and she wasn’t impressed.  She chose the most expensive option, and the first car never even showed up . . . so she had to order a second car. That one was a MESS inside and out, and the ride took way longer than it should have. Martha detailed her Uber experience on Instagram, along with pictures of the inside of the vehicle.  She said, quote, “I want Uber to succeed!  I have been a fan of the concept since day one!!!!!”

Remember our hero Conrad Hilton? Hotel heir and Paris Hilton’s brother. And all around mess. His  ex-girlfriend, Hunter Salomon — the daughter of poker player Rick Salomon and E.G. Daily — has filed for a restraining order against the hotel heir. Recall in May 2017, Hilton was arrested for breaking into E.G. Daily’s home and for violating another restraining order. There was also video of him outside Daily’s house going on a homophobic and racist rant, shouting at cops.  Hilton was arrested for that incident and later appeared in court, where a judge made the decision to release him under the condition he be admitted to a hospital.  Hunter first filed for a restraining order against Hilton in 2015, but that recently expired. Apparently Conrad showed up at Hunter’s house again November 12 half naked and left a stuffed animal outside her gate. Her family hired security to protect the house because of the incident … and according to Conrad’s attorney, he was placed on a psychiatric hold. The restraining order was granted temporarily until a hearing next month.

It’s been 38 years since MARK DAVID CHAPMAN killed JOHN LENNON, and he’s still not sure he’s, quote, “100% remorseful.”  This comes from the transcript from Chapman’s recent parole hearing, which was just released. He added, quote, “I am getting there and it’s a slow thing . . . You know, I look back at this kid, now 25, it’s hard to admit I did something that heinous but it’s true and lately I’ve come to grips with the shame part of it.” At least Chapman was honest.  He even told the parole board, quote, “Of course I want to be released.  Do I deserve to be released?  That’s another question.  No, I don’t think somebody that did what I did deserves anything.” Chapman WASN’T released.  It was the 10th time his parole was denied.  He’s up again in 2020. One more grisly detail from Chapman’s testimony:  He said, quote, “I secured [hollow-point] bullets to make sure he would be dead.  It was immediately after the crime that I was concerned that he did not suffer.”

911 got a call from someone reporting domestic violence . . . but apparently it was just some guy quoting JAY-Z’s “99 Problems”? A Tennessee man named Davon Eddington claims he was in his backyard last week, drinking a beer, and talking to his brother on the phone about LeBron James and the Lakers. His brother called him a bandwagon Lakers fan . . . so he says he said, quote, “I got 99 problems, but a [Bleep] ain’t one.” A neighbor overheard that part of the conversation, and apparently wasn’t familiar with the song, because they thought he was BEATING HIS FIANCÉE.   Davon says his fiancée was upstairs taking a bath at the time. The police went to Davon’s home . . . and entered his property with their “guns drawn.”  Fortunately, he kept his cool, and explained the misunderstanding, and the cops ultimately apologized. Davon isn’t sure it was an innocent mistake.  He hasn’t met the neighbor, but he thinks it’s possible the person doesn’t want him in the neighborhood.

Iron Maiden’s BRUCE DICKINSON is saying that if the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ever comes calling, he’ll slam the door in their faces. Quote, “I’m really happy we’re not there and I would never want to be there.  If we’re ever inducted, I will refuse . . . they won’t bloody be having my corpse in there.” He added, quote, “Rock ‘n’ roll music does not belong in a mausoleum in Cleveland.  It’s a living, breathing thing, and if you put it in a museum, then it’s dead.  It’s worse than horrible, it’s vulgar.” Just last month, Bruce said Maiden BELONGS in the Hall of Fame.  But he added, quote, “It’s run by a bunch of sanctimonious bloody Americans who wouldn’t know rock ‘n’ roll if it hit them in the face. “They need to stop taking Prozac and start drinking [effing] beer.” Maiden’s been eligible for the Hall since 2004, but hasn’t even been nominated yet.

BLINK-182 has been around for more than two decades so this might come as a surprise to you:  We don’t all PRONOUNCE the band’s name the same.    A lot of British people pronounce the name ‘Blink-One Eight Two’ instead of ‘Blink-One Eighty Two.’  A comedian mentioned it on Twitter, and it has gone viral. Some Brits are DEFENDING their pronunciation . . . and their argument is about proper English, of course.  One said, quote, “If it’s a number, it’s one hundred and eighty two.  If it’s figures, then it’s one eight two.  ‘One eighty two’ just doesn’t exist as an entity in the English language.” For what it’s worth, James Corden Tweeted, quote, “I admit we are wrong on this.  [But] America calls them Blink-One Eighty Two, which is also wrong.  They technically should be called Blink-One Hundred and Eighty-Two.” The band hasn’t made an official statement, but they’re joking about it.  Mark Hoppus says we’re focusing on the wrong thing.  He Tweeted, quote, “In all of this, I feel like we’ve lost sight of the fact that the ‘B’ in blink-182 should be lower-case.”  And Tom DeLonge Tweeted, quote, “It’s actually Blink EIGHTEEN-TWO.  People have all gotten this wrong for years.  Sometimes this can happen with very complex, thoughtful and elevated art.”  Travis Barker hasn’t commented.

Kentucky Governor MATT BEVIN is not a fan of The Walking Dead. In fact he thinks its part of the mass shooting in America problem because he thinks gun violence is caused by “The Walking Dead”.  He said, quote, “Television shows are all about, what?  Zombies! . . . That’s what we are. “When a culture is surrounded by, inundated by, rewards things that celebrate death, whether it is zombies in television shows, the number of abortions . . . there’s a thousand justifications for why we do this.” “Walking Dead”co-creator Tony Moore is a Kentucky native replied Quote, “This attack comes from the same Governor Bevin who howled that modern American conservatism may need to be protected with . . . a new civil war, a literal armed insurrection murdering Americans, to protect his political ideology.”

There’s a viral challenge where you have to avoid hearing “The Little Drummer Boy” in the month leading up to Christmas.  Meaning movies, TV shows, radio stations, and places that might play it.  Anyone can call you out when it comes on, and there are a bunch of other rules too.  The challenge starts this Friday, and you have to make it until Christmas Eve.

Last night the St. Louis Blues, who as of last night, had the second worst record in the league, took on the LA Kings, the team with the WORST record in the NHL.  And, the Blues couldn’t score, and Jake Allen let in a goal in the 2nd…and after an empty netter sealed the deal, the Blues lost 2-0.  And, that wasn’t all….about an hour after the game, the team held a press conference to announce that head coach Mike Yeo has been relieved of his coaching duties.  Today, via a press conference on the Blues Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube accounts, 52 year old Craig Berube will be welcomed as interim coach.  Berube was the head coach of the Chicago Wolves before joining the Blues as an assistant coach last year.  From 2013-2015, Berube was the head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers.  He played for 17 years in the NHL with the Flyers, Leafs, Flames, Capitals, and Islanders.  The press conference today is scheduled for 10AM.

The big announcement yesterday was pretty much exactly what we thought it was going to be.  Live from Ball Park Village, as a rep for the Cards, Ozzie Smith came out and debuted the new SATURDAY ROAD UNIFORMS which is the victory powder blue.  The uniforms will be worn on Saturday road games and will include the powder blue jersey and pant combo.  Instead of the “Cardinal” written across the chest, it will say St. Louis.  You can see a photo of the new jersey’s online on our show blog.

The Los Angeles Rams beat the Kansas City Chiefs 54-51 last night at home in L.A. in a Monday Night Football game that set a record for the highest-scoring Monday night game ever played, and was also the first time in NFL history that both teams had at least 50 points in a game. Rams quarterback Jared Goff was 31 of 49 for 413 yards and four touchdown passes, including a 40-yarder to Gerald Everett for the go-ahead score with 1:49 to play. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was 33 of 46 for a career-high 478 yards with six touchdown passes, but also three interceptions, including two in the final 1:18. The game was supposed to have been played in Mexico City, but was hastily moved to LA. six days ago because of poor field conditions at Azteca Stadium. The Rams gave free tickets to thousands of first responders and families recovering from the nearby wildfires and the mass shooting at a Thousand Oaks country music bar in which 12 people were killed.

With Alex Smith going down with that terrible leg injury on Sunday, the Washington Redskins needed a backup QB…and…they found one.  After sitting out all of 2017, and not seeing much action in 2016….the Redskins are finally giving him a chance. People kept saying that if a backup was needed, this was going to be the guy.  And even though he is surrounded by controversy….he’s finally getting the chance.   So…congratulations Mark Sanchez….he signed a one year deal and he will be backup to Colt McCoy.

Sportsbooks set the total for Monday night’s matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams at an astronomical 64 — and the two teams blew past that by 41 points. A spokesman for a company which has 108 sportsbooks in Nevada, told ESPN the game was a “healthy seven-figure loss” for the book, with 69 percent of customers betting the over. The game had opened and closed at 64, the highest over/under in an NFL game since at least 1986. The previous highest total in ESPN’s database was 62 in a November 2000 game between the St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers, which the Rams won 34-24.

The nominees for the 2019 class of Baseball’s Hall of Fame has been announced.  It includes 15 holdovers from previous years, and 20 new candidates. EDGAR MARTINEZ is arguably the biggest returning name.  He got an impressive 70.4% of the vote last year, but the pressure is on, because this is his FINAL year of eligibility, and he needs 75% to be inducted. The other returning names include Mike Mussina and Curt Schilling, as well as some who were tainted by the Steroid Era, like Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens. MARIANO RIVERA is eligible for the first time . . . and he’s a sure-thing to be inducted in his first year.  It’s even possible that he could be the first UNANIMOUS selection. Other strong new candidates include:  Roy Halladay, Andy Pettitte, and Todd Helton, along with Lance Berkman, Miguel Tejada, and Roy Oswalt.  Next year’s class will be announced on January 22nd.

The Mariners and Yankees completed a trade Monday that sends ace left-hander James Paxton to New York for three prospects. Paxton, who turned 30 this month, has spent his entire career with Seattle. He went 11-6 in 28 starts last season with a 3.76 ERA. His 208 strikeouts ranked ninth in the American League. He threw a no-hitter against the Blue Jays on May 8.

Last night 12th ranked Kansas State beat Mizzou on the road.  Final score was 82-67.  The next game for the Tigers is a week from today when they take on Temple in Columbia.  The Billikens are coming off a win from Saturday against Seton Hall…their next game is tomorrow morning against Pittsburgh.  Tip off is scheduled for 11AM.

Arkansas football coach Chad Morris announced today that defensive backs Kamren Curl and Ryan Pulley would be suspended for this week’s game against Missouri over some high school football-ass behavior. The pair apparently spent some time before last weekend’s embarrassing 52-6 loss to Mississippi State chatting up some MSU cheerleaders and taking pictures with them instead of warming up with the team. This obviously pissed off their coach! “They will not be here today or yesterday or any part of this week for unacceptable behavior—actions that are completely unacceptable to anything we’re about,” Morris said. Curl, a sophomore, has started all games at safety this season for the Razorbacks and has racked up 53 tackles and a forced fumble. Pulley has started nine games at cornerback in his junior season, and he has a team best three interceptions.

The United States Men’s National Soccer team has a friendly scheduled for today.  They take on Italy at 1:45PM.   The last friendly the US played was last week where they lost to England 3-0.  The last victory for the men’s team came on September 11th, against Mexico.
