Former Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara is facing charges for allegedly attacking a parked car back in March. He is now 27 and married to Meghan Trainor. He was caught on camera walking past the car in L.A. when he suddenly ripped two custom panels off the side of the vehicle. While no charges were filed at the time, he was reportedly slapped with one count of vandalism and one count of tampering with a vehicle last week. His arraignment is set for later this month in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Sources say they don’t know why Sabara screwed with the car and that there’s no connection between him and the vehicle’s owner.
SHIA LABEOUF recently won an award for his new, autobiographical movie “Honey Boy” . . . and during the acceptance speech, he thanked a cop who arrested him two years ago for public drunkenness. If you don’t remember, in July of 2017, Shia flipped out after someone refused to give him a cigarette. He shouted profanities, and got aggressive with the police. He said things to the cops like, quote, “I’ve got more millionaire lawyers than you know what to do with, you stupid [B-word].” And he also made racial comments.
Alec Baldwin is now suing the man who says Baldwin punched him during a parking dispute in 2018. He says Wojciech Cieszkowski lied about what happened. Cieszkowski pulled into a parking spot and came too close to Baldwin’s wife and child, waiting on the curb. Baldwin admits to “lightly” pushing Cieszkowski during the dispute and claims video surveillance footage and hospital records prove that the driver lied about being assaulted. According to the court papers filed by Baldwin, “When two New Yorkers get into an argument over a parking space, typically what happens is they exchange a few sharp words and then move on with their lives. But that is not what happened here. Cieszkowski has instead made up a false story about the encounter and refused to move on unless Baldwin succumbs to his extortionate demands.”
Jim Edmonds shared an Instagram post on Monday from the site of the unfinished mansion he and wife Meghan King Edmonds were building in St. Louis, and captioned the post, “When you tell the builder that you have to move in ASAP,”. The post follows weeks of drama between the couple after she accused him of having an affair with a family nanny, as well as his admission of an affair with another woman. Jim Edmonds and the nanny have denied a sexual affair, but were spotted together at a hockey game, secretive behavior that Meghan labelled as inappropriate. Jim reportedly filed for divorce two weeks ago, but as recently as last week vowed he would “make it right” with his wife. Apparently, that isn’t happening, as Meghan said Jim’s “nice” interview was done without her input, and that the two had not even communicated. She called him controlling, and said “Even when I make an unassuming post on Instagram, he hurls insults at me for a battery of made-up indiscretions. I’m sick of the abuse and I won’t engage anymore — and I don’t have to.”
Saturday Night Live’s Michael Che is being slammed for a Weekend Update bit that critics have called sexist and ageist. When discussing a recent news story about a woman who gave birth at the age of 67, he said this. Che then went on to share some of the supposedly denied lines. Twitter users especially were unamused, with one writing, “Weekend Update, did you mean: Michael Che misogyny hour,” while another noted the comic is “misogynist and ageist and unfunny.”
MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY, on Friday . . . was cooking and delivering meals for first responders fighting the California wildfires. He teamed up with his beloved Wild Turkey and the disaster relief organization Operation BBQ Relief to prepare 800 meals and deliver them to more than 20 fire stations. They also made another 800 meals for local homeless shelters. And one last thing: McConaughey is reportedly being sought to play Two-Face in the new “Batman” movie. And yesterday was his 50th birthday. He gave himself a present. It was an Instagram account. He wants to keep it positive. Then he gave us some vintage Matty Mc. BTW he already has almost 700,000 followers.

Tori Spelling’s live show with Beverly Hills 90210 co-star Jennie Garth was canceled for the fifth time, according to Radar Online. Jennie Garth & Tori Spelling Live: A Night to Remember, has failed to live up to expectations so far. The remaining dates are not selling well and could also be canceled; a show in Westbury, New York, for instance, has sold less than half of available tickets. Spelling also has financial troubles in her personal life, including being sued for not paying credit card bills and defaulting on a loan. The 90210 reboot paid Spelling $70,000 per episode, but ratings have dwindled since its debut and it’s unclear whether there will be a second season of the show.

Yesterday it was announced that Cardinal manager Mike Shildt is a finalist for NL Manager of the year. He guided the team to its first division title since 2015. And, now he is among the three – including Craig Counsell from the Brewers and Atlanta’s Brian Snitker – that are up for the award. The award was voted on PRIOR to the post season. The only other two managers to win the award….Whitey Herzong in 1985 and Tony LaRussa in 2002. The winner will be announced on Nov 12th.
The Cardinals have tendered a qualifying offer to free agent outfielder Marcell Ozuna, the club announced on Twitter Monday. This year’s qualifying offer is worth $17.8 million for a one year term, and the player has 10 days to decide whether or not to accept. If the player declines, and then signs with a different team, the Cardinals will receive draft pick compensation.
The Dallas Cowboys defeated the New York Giants 37-18 in Monday Night Football last night before the Giants’ home fans. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott threw for three touchdowns, going 22 of 35 for 257 yards, while running back Ezekiel Elliott ran for a season-high 139 yards and the Dallas defense sacked Giants quarterback Daniel Jones five times. It was the Cowboys’ sixth straight win over the Giants.
On Monday, the Cleveland Browns cut safety Jermaine Whitehead, less than a day after he sent death threats via social media following his team’s loss to the Denver Broncos. According to Sports Illustrated, Whitehead was still in uniform when he wrote “don’t get smoked” to Browns radio analyst Dustin Fox and told another fan “Imma kill you b**ch.” After Whitehead’s Twitter account was suspended, he started responding to critics with profanity and threats via Instagram DMs. On Sunday night, the Browns issued a statement calling the social media postings “unacceptable and highly inappropriate” and said the team “in no way condone[s] that type of language or behavior.” Whitehead had started all of the Browns’ games to date this season.
Former NFL player Kellen Winslow Jr. pleaded guilty Monday to raping an unconscious teen in 2003 and to sexual battery involving a 54-year-old hitchhiker in a deal that spared him the possibility of life in prison. Winslow initially asked the judge for more time before he finally entered the guilty pleas moments before he was about to be retried on six felonies including kidnapping, sodomy, forced oral copulation and two charges of forcible rape in San Diego County Superior Court that could have sent him to prison for life if he was convicted. In exchange for his plea, the court agreed to sentence him to between 12 and 18 years in prison for the two charges and dismiss the others.
After years of success with its games in London, the NFL might be considering taking its overseas relationship with the city one step further. Interest is picking up with the league, the Los Angeles Chargers and the rest of the NFL’s team owners in a possible move by the team to London. According to reports, some NFL sources say that the possibility of the Chargers moving to London has been brought up among league personnel. While the team is fully committed to LA where it will move into the new $4.5 billion stadium with the Rams next year, the Chargers would at least listen if the NFL approached them about about London as a possible option. In summary, it appears there are few figures with control over the Chargers’ location who would say no to a hypothetical move to London, but there is SOME interest from the team AND the league to at least entertain some offers.
The streak ended with little fanfare, and that was just fine with Phil Mickelson. He slashed his way to a tie for 28th in the HSBC Champions, with only 100 or so fans following along. Mickelson played his last nine holes right behind Rory McIlroy, but only because Lefty was in the first group to tee off on the back nine. He signed for a 68 in his final round of the year. The number that stands out is No. 51, his position this week in the Official World Golf Ranking. For the first time in nearly 26 years — 1,353 weeks to be exact — Mickelson is no longer among the top 50 in the world. The question is whether anyone can ever match it.
