Jennifer Jeanus Yeager, 49, of Dixon had driven to a friend’s house Tuesday afternoon to blow up a blue inflatable pool, according to Dixon Police.

On the way back, the department says, she had her daughters sit in the pool on top of the car to keep it from flying away.

The woman who played Violet Beauregard in the original “Willy Wonka” movie died Wednesday night.  She had a stroke last year and then a “major medical emergency” on Monday and never recovered.  Her name is Denise Nickerson, and she was 62.

We are just 60 days before Harvey Weinstein is due in court to face assault charges. And a judge has approved yet another reorganization of his legal team. Remember Casey Anthony’s lawyer Jose Baez? He took over recently right? He asked the judge for an out. The judge complied with the request, after getting a promise that Weinstein would not attempt to postpone his September 9th trial date. One of the new lawyers immediately sarted in on the women saying they are “responsible for the choices they make. Weinstein is free on a $1 million bail pending trial, and denies wrongdoing. A separate legal team is working on a settlement in bankruptcy court with dozens of his accusers

R. KELLY was arrested yesterday on 13 counts, including sex trafficking, child pornography, and obstructing justice. These are FEDERAL charges, by the way.  Kelly was arrested in Chicago, but he’s being brought to New York.  And there will be a press conference at 9:30 this morning in Atlanta. Kelly is already facing 11 charges in Chicago, including sexual assault and abuse.  He already pleaded not guilty to those.

Last night on “Watch What Happens Live” Pauly D was asked how Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is doing. Bonus…remember Billy McFarland from the Fyre Festival? He is serving 6 years in the same place Mike’s release date is in September of this year.

Today’s stupid, overblown, meaningless controversy involves “Toy Story 4”, and how it supposedly promotes homosexuality.  There’s a scene where Bonnie, the little girl who inherited all of Andy’s toys at the end of “Toy Story 3”, gets dropped off at kindergarten. Another girl is brought to class by two women . . . who are both there to pick her up at the end of the day.  Nothing more is said about them, but it’s presumed that they’re a same-sex couple. And the group One Million Moms is losing its collective one million minds over it.  They put a message on their website calling it a, quote, “subtle but obvious promotion of the LGBTQ lifestyle” and “extremely unnecessary.”

They added, quote, “The scene was included and intentionally not announced prior to the movie release in hopes it would be kept quiet to expose as many children as possible.”

Puberty killed Hannah Montana. MILEY CYRUS was asked if she ever wanted to break out of the “Hannah Montana” mold while she was doing the show. She said, quote, “I did once I was 18 because it felt ridiculous.  The minute I had sex, I was kind of like, I can’t put the [effing] wig on again. She said, quote, “One time I went backstage at Disneyland, and Peter Pan was smoking a cigarette.  And I was like, ‘That’s me.  That’s the kind of dreams I’m crushing.” She also talked marriage to LIAM HEMSWORTH. “I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women.  People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still [effing] good, and I know that.  I made a partner decision.

HBO announced on Thursday that it has renewed Euphoria with Zendaya for a second season. Season one of the series debuted on June 16 and follows 17-year-old Rue Bennett (Zendaya), a recovering drug addict who’s struggling to make sense of her future. The series also stars Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, and Storm Reid.

Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+ will probably be HUGE when it launches in November.  But just how big will it be? A new poll says 69% of Americans are willing to pay Disney+’s $6.99 price tag . . . and 20% would pay even MORE, up to $10 to $20 per month.  At the high end, that’s 25% more than Netflix’s most expensive plan. Disney+ will have two plans:  $6.99 a month, or $69.99 a year, which reduces the price to $5.83 per month.  Most Netflix plans cost between $9 and $16 per month.

“The Flintstones” are coming back with a new animated, primetime series, but this one won’t be for kids.  It’s described as an “adult” show . . . which kind of makes it sound like porn, but it just means it’s geared toward grown-ups. There’s no word on a network yet. It’s being produced by ELIZABETH BANKS, who’s been racking up a lot of credits behind the camera these days.  She wrote, directed, and produced the upcoming “Charlie’s Angels” movie, and appears in it as Bosley. “The Flintstones” originally ran on ABC for six seasons, from 1960 to 1966.  Since then there have been several revivals and spin-offs, plus two live-action movies. SETH MACFARLANE was also developing a reboot for Fox in 2011, but it fell through.

If you’re making your way through all 10 seasons of “Friends” on Netflix, you might want to hurry up . . . because it’ll be gone next year. Yesterday, WarnerMedia announced its new streaming platform, HBO Max, and they get the streaming rights to all 236 episodes of ‘Friends’.” They will also have “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “Pretty Little Liars”, plus new original shows like an animated”Gremlins” reboot and a thriller called “The Flight Attendant” starring Kaley Cuoco. “Friends” has been on Netflix since 2015.  Last year, they supposedly coughed up $100 MILLION to keep it through 2019.  Which is a lot even for Netflix.  Before that, they were paying $30 million a year for it.

Avenged Sevenfold singer M. Shadows is getting his very own playable character in the Call Of Duty: Black Ops franchise. The singer is featured in a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s next content drop, called “Operation Apocalypse Z,” which was released on Monday. Mr. Shadows said that getting his own character in the franchise was a “career highlight.” His playable avatar can be seen at the 2:34 point in the new trailer, when he and other Zombies survivors look out a window at an incoming horde.”Operation Apocalypse Z” is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and will come to other platforms later. Avenged Sevenfold has kept a low profile so far during 2019 and will not return to the road until next year. A blood blister on singer M. Shadows’ vocal cords forced the band to cancel a summer 2018 tour with Prophets Of Rage and Three Days Grace.

Also, Amazon is developing a multiplayer online game for PC and consoles based on The Lord of the Rings. Saying “Middle-earth is one of the richest fictional worlds in history.  Plus, Amazon is developing a series for Amazon Prime based on The Lord of the Rings.

Blink-182 has apparently lost co-headliner Lil Wayne less than two weeks into their summer tour together, as multiple reports said that the rapper exited the stage after just four songs on Thursday night (July 11th) in Bristow, Virginia, announcing he was leaving the trek. According to multiple eyewitnesses at the show, Wayne cut his set short and said he wasn’t really into the audience. He also reportedly complained about the crowd size and lack of “his” fans in the venue. Adding that it was “probably” going to be his last show on the tour, he thanked Blink-182 and left the stage after just 20 minutes. There has been no official statement made yet by either Blink-182 or Wayne. The trek had gotten off to a rough start, delaying its opening date due to what had been called “unforeseen production delays.” The tour continues this week with Neck Deep as support, hitting Bangor, Maine on Saturday (July 13th) and continuing well into September. Lil Nas X has premiered a new remix of “Old Town Road” that adds Young Thug and Mason Ramsey to the mix. While the new version keeps the remix intro from Billy Ray Cyrus, it also features an auto-tuned verse from Thugger and a twangy verse from Walmart Yodel Kid Ramsey. Complex reports that rumors of this collaboration began swirling back in April, when Thugger posted a clip of his verse over the country-trap single. Nas X continued to tease the remix on social media last week, posting the Cowboy Hat face emoji next to Thug’s signature snake emoji. The latest remix marks the foruth official iteration of the track, following the original release, the Billy Ray Cyrus-assisted version and the Diplo remix.

“Robot Umpires” Have Arrived in Pro Baseball . . . with One Glitch, and No Controversy – WaPo

The St. Louis Cardinals kick off their second half of the season tonight.  They welcome the Arizona Diamondbacks to Busch.  Adam Wainwright gets the start.  The return of baseball to STL does come with some bad news.  First the good news, Matt Carpenter is back after recovering from a lower back strain.  The bad news…Yadi Molina is heading to the IL with a thumb strain.  First pitch tonight is scheduled for 7:15PM.

The Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues have scored another victory — this time, at the Missouri Capitol. Gov. Mike Parson signed legislation Tuesday that authorizes up to $70 million in state subsidies over two decades to help pay for renovations at the arena. The annual state payments for the Enterprise Center would start in the 2022 fiscal year. Supporters say the improvements are essential as St. Louis competes with similar arenas in other cities to attract U.S. Olympic and college sports events. Missouri already provides $3 million of annual subsidies for the stadiums used by the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. The legislation extends those for 10 more years.

Mookie Betts was the only one of the three Boston Red Sox players in Tuesday night’s 2019 MLB All-Star Game who didn’t get an at-bat, and it turns out it was by design. Red Sox manager Alex Cora, who was leading the American League squad, explained why the reigning league MVP didn’t come to the plate. “There were other guys that we wanted to play. There were a lot of first-timers. And we kind of like mapped it out. And he was going to come up in the ninth. It just happened that we won the game.” Betts was making his fourth All-Star appearance and likely will earn more of them before his career concludes. Therefore, it was a classy gesture by Betts and Cora to allow first-time All-Stars, some of whom might never reach that stage again, to make the most of their opportunity. Betts was named to the AL team as a reserve. He played right field in the eighth and ninth innings.

Allie Long, member of the World Cup Champion United States Women’s National Soccer Team, was the victim of theft on Thursday afternoon. Her room at the Los Angeles Ritz-Carlton was entered without her knowledge and that the thief took Long’s wedding room, estimated to be worth about $15,000. The burglar also took the honorary key to New York City she had just been given at the championship parade and rally on Wednesday. Officials say there were no signs of forced entry, believing instead that the room door was left open.

ESPN reported last night that the Oklahoma City Thunder will send Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets in a blockbuster trade for Chris Paul and first-round draft picks and pick swaps. Westbrook, who’s played all 11 of his seasons until now with the Thunder, won the NBA MVP in for the 2016-17 season, making NBA history as the first player since Oscar Robertson in 1962 to average a triple-double.

Serena Williams will play Simona Halep for the Wimbledon championship on Saturday after they both easily won their semifinal matches Thursday. With the win, Williams became, at age 37, the oldest woman to reach a Grand Slam final in the professional era.  The men’s semifinals are being played today, with Roger Federer facing Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic playing Roberto Bautista Agut.

Former All-Pro defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth shared a very sad update on his personal condition on Instagram Wednesday evening. Haynesworth is apparently at the Williamson Medical Center in Tennessee where he is being treated for kidney failure. Beyond providing an update for fans and followers, Haynesworth’s post serves as a plea for potential kidney donors. Haynesworth has had a rough time, health-wise, since his retirement—in his Instagram post he mentions the two brain aneurysms he suffered in 2014, which Haynesworth described in 2016 as nearly fatal. Haynesworth retired from the NFL in 2011, after 10 seasons in the league.
