A Man Is Arrested After an Argument Over the Type of Bread a Cafe Used for His Cheesesteak – TheSmokingGun

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I kinda see where the drunk, belligerent lunatic is coming from here.

There’s a 27-year-old guy named Joseph Lagana from Port Richey, Florida, and on Sunday, he went to a café at a flea market and ordered a Philly cheesesteak.

But they didn’t serve it to him on a standard hoagie roll . . . instead, for whatever reason, they used a sesame seed bun.

And . . . he flipped out.

He started yelling at the people working at the café and other random people at the flea market . . . and it got to the point where they had to call the cops.

When they got there, they found Joseph was VERY drunk and still yelling . . . so he was arrested for disorderly intoxication.

Most recently Louis CK caught some more crap for making fun, really I mean mocking Parkland shooting survivors while doing stand up in Long Island. Yesterday morning he announced that he would be performing that evening at the Funny Bone Comedy Club in Albany. According to Page Six, the show sold out in less than 45 minutes.

31 year old Tim Tebow is engaged to former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. People reports that the 31-year-old former NFL quarterback proposed to the 23-year-old South African model at sunset on Wednesday at his family’s farm outside of Jacksonville, Florida. He gave her a 7.25-carat solitaire ring and told her, “This ring is internally flawless. Just like you.” Tebow also secretly flew her family and closest friends in from South Africa to Florida to witness the proposal. “I’m so excited for the wedding, HE SAID I CANT WAIT FOR THE HONEYMOON.

Lifetime aired a holiday movie in November. And because of that movie one couple, Setiam and Katherine Allah, are now filled with the everlasting spirit of litigation.  Setiam and Katherine took a photo with their kid, A FAMILY PICTURE to send out as a Christmas card, as many families do.  And somehow, someone at Lifetime got a hold of it, and used it in the movie “Christmas Harmony”. In the scene, a woman wants to put that card and another one up on the fridge, because she thinks they’re “festive.” The Allahs say they were embarrassed when friends and family started calling to tell them they were in the movie.  They obviously didn’t give Lifetime permission to use the photo, and have no idea how they even got it.  They’re suing for all the movie’s profits.

Variety” has a list of the 100 movies that made the most money at the box office last year. Here’s the Top 10, along with the money they made in the U.S. in 2018:

2.  “Avengers: Infinity War”, $678.8 million

8.  “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”, $220.2 million

9.  “Ant-Man and the Wasp”, $216.6 million

10.  “Solo: A Star Wars Story”, $213.8 million

Overall, the domestic box office reached $11.9 billion in 2018, up 6.7% over the previous year.  It also breaks the record $11.38 billion that was set in 2016

If you’ve held off on seeing “Bohemian Rhapsody” until you can watch it with a bunch of people you don’t know . . . who are belting out the songs at the top of their lungs along with the movie . . . well, today’s your day. A ‘sing-along‘ version of the movie is hitting 750 theaters across the country, beginning TODAY.  The song lyrics will be displayed on the screen karaoke-style, and the audience will be allowed to “perform.”  If you’re like me, you’re wondering how you can AVOID one of these screenings.  Well, these WILL be billed as the ‘Sing Along’ version . . . and you can also find the theaters it’ll be at on the site

There’s a new Netflix series getting a lot of attention about people who vanished after moving to work in an area nicknamed “Murder Mountain”  It’s a place in northern California where a ton of people grow pot . . . legally and illegally . . . and where a ton of people have gone missing.  The guy in this clip is disguised with a bandana because he’s a black market pot grower.  And even though he’s almost died a couple 2 3 times he just loves living on Murder Mountain.

“Criminal Minds” (Joe Montagna) is ending after 15 seasons. By the time Criminal Minds wraps, the show will have completed 325 episodes–making it one of the longest-running television dramas.

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski paid $11 million for a full floor of a luxury building in Brooklyn Heights, called The Standish. They bought two units, which they plan to convert into one spacious abode. Matt Damon recently purchased a condo in the same building for $16 million+.

The twins who played Rachel and Ross’s baby on “Friends” are 16 now.  Their names are Noelle and Cali Sheldon, and they’re in Jordan Peele’s upcoming horror movie “Us”.

The first person to portray James Bond onscreen was an American.  His name was Barry Nelson, and he played Bond in a live TV movie version of “Casino Royale” with Peter Lorre in 1954.  And in the movie, Bond WAS an American, working for “Combined Intelligence.”  Obviously in the books and movies he was always a British spy.

A guy on YouTube came up with a formula for how to write an Ed Sheeran song.  He looked at instrumentation, and used a program to see which words pop up the most in his lyrics.  Then he used them to write a new song . . . and it’s not bad.

Muse Covered “Hungry Like the Wolf” by Duran Duran

Remember Hozier? He’s the guy who sang Take Me to Church. Hozier covered “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child.

91-year-old Jerry Stiller, George’s Dad on Seinfeld and real Dad  of Ben Stiller is recovering after a medical “episode,”. Jerry Stiller was hospitalized Wednesday night, but as of yesterday morning, appeared to be stable. Stiller’s wife Anne Meara died in 2015.

Foo Fighters played their first show of 2019 on Wednesday night (January 9th) at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas and frontman Dave Grohl is so 2015 because he also fell off stage again.  As seen in an Instagram video, Grohl can be seen accepting a beer from an audience member, placing it on top of a speaker and attempting unsuccessfully to drink it hands free while jamming. When the beer spills, he quickly grabs and chugs it, but loses his balance as he steps backwards and falls from the stage. Fortunately there are security team members there to help break his fall, after which he regains his footing and gets back onstage. Grohl famously broke his leg in 2015 falling off a stage in Sweden, forcing him to perform a number of shows on the band’s tour that summer while seated on a throne. Grohl also fell during a gig in Florida last year after stumbling over a speaker, but managed to brace himself before hitting the floor below. Foo Fighters will next appear at the tribute concert for the late Chris Cornell taking place at the Forum in Los Angeles on January 16th. The band will also perform the night before the Super Bowl in Atlanta and has booked two shows to help open the new Fillmore venue in New Orleans in mid-February.

Is The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen planning to perform as a surprise guest at the January 16th tribute concert for late Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell? Momsen posted on Instagram that she was headed for Los Angeles, where the concert will take place. Cornell was her favorite singer and The Pretty Reckless was Soundgarden’s opening act on its final 2017 tour, including the night that Cornell took his own life.

What will MAROON 5 and TRAVIS SCOTT sing during the Super Bowl Halftime Show?  Well, if the Internet has anything to say about it, one of their selections will be a song from “SpongeBob SquarePants”. Somebody started an online petition asking that they do “Sweet Victory” . . . a song that SpongeBob and the gang perform during halftime at the BUBBLE BOWL in an episode called “Band Geeks”. The petition was inspired by the recent death of “SpongeBob” creator Stephen Hillenburg, and it currently has more than 1.1 million signatures.

There’s a new documentary called “Forty Dollars a Pop,” about a guy who donated his sperm twice a week for about a year back in the 90’s.  Now he’s re-connected with some of his kids, and is living in a communal house with a few of them.  One of them is a 13-year-old girl named Alice, who tracked him down.  Then he met Alice’s mom for the first time, and they started dating.  Here he is talking about meeting her for the first time, and how many kids he might have out there.

Netflix has released a trailer for Fyre, an in-depth documentary about the collapse of the so-called Fyre Festival in the Bahamas in 2017. The film will focus on the scam artist behind the event, co-founder Billy McFarland, who promised major artists — including Blink-182 and others — luxury accommodations and high-end food to attendees who shelled out thousands of dollars and were left stranded on a beach with a few tents, a handful of sandwiches and no festival. The documentary will premiere on Netflix on January 18th

Pinkfong’s “Baby Shark” made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. According to the publication, the popular kids track entered at #32 on the chart dated January 12. While “Baby Shark” dates back decades, the South Korea-based educational brand created its own version of the track in 2016. It has gained traction in recent weeks, thanks to the “Baby Shark Challenge,” which finds participants dancing along to the song and mimicking its commands when applicable. After going viral in Indonesia, “Baby Shark” debuted on Billboard’s Kid Digital Song Sales chart in July 2018.

Chris Pratt may be on Hollywood’s most insane diet yet. On Wednesday, the 39-year-old actor revealed on his Instagram Story that he’s three days into the 21-day “Daniel diet,” which consists of nothing but fasting and praying and is popular with evangelical Christians. “Day 3 of the Daniel fast. Check it out. It’s 21 days of prayer of fasting,” he said while looking pretty sweaty. “It’s gonna coincide also with the Lego Movie 2junket, so by the time you see me, I’ll probably be hallucinating. Stay tuned.”

Jordan Binnington got his first start at Enterprise Center last night and after having a great game in Philly, he shined again in front of the home crowd.  Binnington stopped 28 of Montreal’s 29 shots on his way to a 4-1 win.  Robert Thomas, Oskar Sundqvist, Jay Bouwmeester, and Sammy Blais all scored for the Blues.  Unfortunately, Robert Thomas was crushed into the boards and left the game with a shoulder injury.  Up next for the Blues is a game in Dallas against the Stars tomorrow at 8PM.

NFL Divisional round kicks off tomorrow…The Colts and Chiefs start things off tomorrow around 3:30, followed by the Cowboys and Rams at 7:15PM.  On Sunday it’s the Chargers and Patriots with the early afternoon game and the Saints and Eagles playing the late afternoon game.

This weekend, Sarah Thomas will become the first woman to officiate an NFL playoff game.  She’s on the crew that’s working Sunday’s divisional game between the Chargers and the Patriots. Of course, Sarah isn’t new.  The NFL hired her back in 2015.  She was the league’s first full-time female official . . . and before that she was the first woman to officiate a major college football game.  She’s the ‘Down Judge,’ which is just under the Head Referee and Umpire.  Down judges manage the chains, set the line of scrimmage, mark the spot where the play ends, and make line-of-scrimmage calls like false starts and offsides. Sarah was just promoted to Down Judge last season.  She previously served as a ‘Line Judge.’

The Antonio Brown situation in Pittsburgh continues to get weird.  Art Rooney, the president of the team, had said yesterday that he cannot see Antonio Brown being with the team next season.  He then went on to say that the team has zero plans on releasing him.  Then he went on to say that all other options are on the table.  It’s a mess over there.

An emotional Andy Murray said Friday that the Australian Open, which begins next week, might be his last tennis tournament because of ongoing problems with his hip. The 31-year-old British player, who had to stop several times to compose himself during a news conference, said that he’s still hoping to be able to play one more Wimbledon before his hip forces him to retire, but isn’t sure he’ll make it that far, explaining, The three-time Grand Slam champion played just 12 matches last year following surgery on his right hip last January.

Authorities in Las Vegas issued a warrant for Cristiano Ronaldo’s DNA on Thursday in order to see if it matches that on the dress of a woman who accused him of rape. The warrant was reportedly sent to Italy where Ronaldo currently plays for Juventus.  Kathryn Mayorga filed a lawsuit against Ronaldo in September alleging that the Portuguese soccer star raped her in Las Vegas in 2009. Authorities are now asking for Ronaldo’s DNA to see if it matches that found on Mayorga’s dress from the 2009 night in question.  Ronaldo, who joined Juventus in July after nine years with Real Madrid, has maintained his innocence in all public comments and statements since the accusation was published, initially dismissing the story as “fake news” in a casual Instagram Live video before issuing more formal statements through his representation.

Illini took on #2 Michigan last night and held things decently close.  They ended up losing by 10.  They are off till Wednesday. Mizzou takes on South Carolina tomorrow afternoon, and SLU is on the road against La Salle at 5PM tomorrow.
